  1. To the casual observer, benching your QB after your D gives up 300 yards rushing, seems odd. I suspect that's where they're coming from.
  2. This is the crux of the biscuit. Some, like myself, see us in a good position to make a run to end this thing. 6th seed with a full game lead on the pack heading into Sunday's game. Others like you see this as another trip on the rebuild train. The 2019 draft is more important than maybe getting in playoffs this year. I think MCDermott is doing it to win now. Crazy and I disagree but hopefully he's right But what's the rush? We got the kid locked up for another 3 years. Another loss ot two and it's over anyway. Try him out then.
  3. Where we stand with Hotrod at QB is 6th seed with a full game lead over the rest of the pack. IF we can win more games than we lose the rest of the way like we did in the first 9 with Hotrod, we have a very good shot at the P Word.
  4. I disagree. We had the 7th highest scoring offense in the NFL. We had a middle of the pack undiscilpined defense that dominated 2 years before and you got most of the guys back. Don't mess up the O (too late) and improve the D some at giving up points and we should get good to go (had done it but now not so sure).
  5. Actually we went 9-7 in Terry's first year as owner.
  6. I voted bad move for exactly the same reason. We aRe in the 6th WC spot with a full game lead on the rest of the pack with 7 games to go.. Now is not the time to see what a rookie can do. It's time to go all in. Now Coach McDermott says this not an experiment. Says it gives a better chance to win. I'm taking him at his word. If the offense is more productive and the wins continue to roll on, good move. If not, bad move. As far as other teams that have gotten in at 9-7, there's the SB XL winning Stealers in 2004 and the 9-7 Giants in 2008. My real concern in all this is the defense. Hopefully Nasty Nate is a better tackler than Hotrod was.
  7. Worser and worser? Really? We won 6 out of his last 8 starts. But yeah, worser and worser ...
  8. I'm just going to wait and see what he does in a real game against starting NFL defenders before I crown his A$$.
  9. The Bills went 10-5 that year with Flutie under center including winning 6 out of the last 8. I wish we had a QB now that could struggle like that. Just win baby
  10. He missed Zay wide open in the EZ.
  11. We'll live with it for about 3 starts. Then we'll start calling him Noodle Arm Nate and start figuring out who we're going to draft.
  12. I will go to my grave thinking we at least go to SB in 1999 if Flutie starts that game. You (nor anyone else) will convince me otherwise.
  13. I said yes because I'm not sure that scrawney kid will be able to hold on to the pass rush onslaught he is about to receive.
  14. I hope he can hold onto the football. Sunday he bobbled a snap on 4th down resulting in not converting. He also did that at least twice in PS. He hasn't lost one ... Yet. It's gonna get crowded in the pocket with tomahawks flailing at the football. Wishing Nasty Nate and the Bills the best ... Go BILlS !!
  15. Boldest move since benching EJ.
  16. DCs know what to do. I hope Nasty Nate and the OLine are preparing for a heavy dose of blitzing this week. Nasty Nate is getting ready to see D like he's never seen before in PS and Garbage Time.
  17. It's an old Jimmie Johnson trick.
  18. Have fun. Bring us home a W! It's too bad we lose so much, but being a football fan is fun win or lose. There are a lot worse things in life that rooting for a mediocre at best football team. Go BILLS!!
  19. Let's follow your team quit theory a little bit. If indeed they quit, it wasn't when they were 5-4. they had quit the week before, but not at 5-3. They quit when they were 5-2 and all over the process. Who does that? Makes no sense. Not buying the quit theory. We're 9 games into a new regime. There will be ups and downs as here already has been. I just hope for more ups than downs.
  20. Amen you gotta make the playoffs before you can win in them. It would he something to build on as opposed to ANOTHER rebuild. Preferring to lose is just a loser mentality no matter how you slice it.
  21. Here's what I don't understand about your analysis. The same defense with the same players minus 1 WERE good enough. 2nd in the league in least points given up as a matter of fact. Guys were good enough, but now they aren't? Confusing.
  22. Obviously I can't say for sure. My thinking was that if we had scored more, they would have well since they didn't punt the whole game. Inspiration will only yet you so far. We were out and out whooped. But maybe.
  23. If we we had Nasty Nate in and he threw for 350, we would have lost 52-35. soooooooooooooo.........
