  1. I think we've seen his cieling. He is what he is. Next.
  2. I was really hoping Coach Lynn would put him in for mop up mop up duty.
  3. At this point I would be happy if we could get back to average.
  4. We started 5-2 in 2008, 2011, and 2017.
  5. The same could be said about Hotrod. The Same could get said about EJ. The same could be said about Fitz. The same thing could get said about Tuel Time. The same could be said about Trent Dilfer. The same could be said about JP. The same thing could even be said about Flutie.
  6. Too early to tell. Our other 2 we finished 6-10 and 7-9. So if we don't win another which we may well not, then yeah. Otherwise, no.
  7. I On one of those I cheered when the punter came out. YES, we got through three plays without a pick!
  8. Kyle Orton, Jeff Tuel, and Nate Peterpan say hello.
  9. You know what, screw high picks. You earn them because you suck. I'm tired of sucking. I want to win as many games as possible THIS YEAR and every year. If Hotrod gets us to the playoffs, hallelujah! We'll name a street after him and put a statue of him next to Ralph! "Winning is a habit, unfortunately so is losing." --Vince Lombardi
  10. Only in the crazy world of TBD where winning is losing and losing is winning does this make any sense. This is the world where winning is frowned upon and losing celebrated. Where going for wins and playoffs is wrong and tanking to get the nestick is right. The team that wins SB gets last pick. No one wants that. I don't think anyone said it did. Look, we all want a better QB, but for now Hotrod's the best we got. Let's just go with him and quit trying to find change under the couch. Sometimes you just gotta go with the best you got til next year. We have reached that point. He very well could be next year too given how these Yahoos pick QBs.
  11. Was race mentioned? Where? To me, that smacks of a loser mentality. Just win baby.
  12. How so? We could have had Watkins or Mahommes but our brain trust had better ideas. The "flyer" we took that the coach said was ready to start, just threw more Ints in one half than anyone in NFL history. I feel like we're further away from getting the golden armed franchise QB than we ever have been.
  13. That's what you said last week. Oh, and things can always get worse.
  14. Time to great out the excuses.
  15. ? You play to win the game.
  16. ? Coming into that game the BeaSt was averaging 1.5 yards per play.
  17. To the casual observer, benching your QB after your D gives up 300 yards rushing, seems odd. I suspect that's where they're coming from.
  18. This is the crux of the biscuit. Some, like myself, see us in a good position to make a run to end this thing. 6th seed with a full game lead on the pack heading into Sunday's game. Others like you see this as another trip on the rebuild train. The 2019 draft is more important than maybe getting in playoffs this year. I think MCDermott is doing it to win now. Crazy and I disagree but hopefully he's right But what's the rush? We got the kid locked up for another 3 years. Another loss ot two and it's over anyway. Try him out then.
  19. Where we stand with Hotrod at QB is 6th seed with a full game lead over the rest of the pack. IF we can win more games than we lose the rest of the way like we did in the first 9 with Hotrod, we have a very good shot at the P Word.
  20. I disagree. We had the 7th highest scoring offense in the NFL. We had a middle of the pack undiscilpined defense that dominated 2 years before and you got most of the guys back. Don't mess up the O (too late) and improve the D some at giving up points and we should get good to go (had done it but now not so sure).
  21. Actually we went 9-7 in Terry's first year as owner.
  22. I voted bad move for exactly the same reason. We aRe in the 6th WC spot with a full game lead on the rest of the pack with 7 games to go.. Now is not the time to see what a rookie can do. It's time to go all in. Now Coach McDermott says this not an experiment. Says it gives a better chance to win. I'm taking him at his word. If the offense is more productive and the wins continue to roll on, good move. If not, bad move. As far as other teams that have gotten in at 9-7, there's the SB XL winning Stealers in 2004 and the 9-7 Giants in 2008. My real concern in all this is the defense. Hopefully Nasty Nate is a better tackler than Hotrod was.
  23. Worser and worser? Really? We won 6 out of his last 8 starts. But yeah, worser and worser ...
  24. I'm just going to wait and see what he does in a real game against starting NFL defenders before I crown his A$$.
