How difficult will it be to get back in 2018?
reddogblitz replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats what everyone said this time last year. -
Fact: TT has led us to Jacksonville tomorrow

That was kindof my point. I was mocking the people that respond 56 yards to anything Hotrod does well. PLAYOFFS!! -
Bears kick off HC hiring with Chiefs OC Matt Nagy
reddogblitz replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His offense never should have tipped that football back to Marcus. they also shouldn't have given up all those run yards in the second half. He also should have told his backup TE to catch the football when it hits him in the hands. -

It's always the QBs that lead a team to the playoffs and a team wins because of it's QB, unless it's someone we don't like. Admit it. Hotrod was the team leader and we got to the playoffs. You may not think he's good enough for 2018, but the fact remains that the team leader led us to playoffs. "A quarterback's greates asset is leadership." --Roger Staubach Hotrod is a good leader, at least that's what the players say. On TBD, your mileage my vary. 56 yards -

This is such BS. Had Hotrod NOT brought us back from 7 down vs Bucs, or Joe Webb III not completed that great pass to Thompson, or had we not beat the Fish in the last game, or the D stepping up vs Cheaps, or beat the defending NFC champs, we still would have been out. We won a playoff spot by following the rules set up by the NFL before the season started. Those loser teams that didn't make it (Chargers and Raisins) should have done better than us which they did not. Bills are far from the only team to ever get in with help. Why can't we just admit that the bills had a good season and our QB played good enough to get us there? It's true. It happened. I'll be waiting for a yeah but ...

I'd rather have a QB that doesn't throw in tight windows to WRs and go to the playoffs than watch Gunslinger Nate throw a pick for every 10 minutes of clock time. If it was a rookie thing, why don't more rookie QBs throw as many ints as he does? No one ever has in the history of organized football. He also has the record for lowest QBR EVER and lowest fantasy football score EVER. I find it odd that ANYONE except maybe his mother still supports him.

Me too. Maybe next year.

Maybe so. But the thread is about his health. Yet you still can't help your self with the peanut gallery comments.

Which WRs do the Bills keep - if any
reddogblitz replied to Socal-805's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How long do the the yips last? It's been a whole season and shows no signs of improvement. At what point do you say, the dude just can't catch a cold? We don't have time to screw around with guys that can't catch. We're trying to win games. Connor Kupp is a rookie and he doesn't seem to be having a problem catching the football. Woods and Sammy and even Goodwin didn't drop footballs as rookies. Why only Zay? And yes Jerry Rice. Jerry practiced a ton to get right and stay right. I certainly hope Zay is doing the same. -
lame.

Benjamin and Thompson are the only ones we have worth keeping. We need guys that can catch the freakin' football no matter who throws it. PERIOD. -
No. But I do love me some playoffs!
-
Can I get playoffs with that?
-
I have the same amount of influence as you do. I have no idea where he will be playing. If we don't get someone better before the draft, I hope it's here though I'll tell you that much. I'm digging this winning thing and want it to continue. I have ZERO interest is going on some fishing expedition for the next starter and losing games. That's drought thinking. We're now in post drought era, it's about winning now. Fitz was a gun slinger too. Being a gun slinger is fine as long as he can complete some of your passes to your own team. Which int he threw was due to being a "gun slinger"? They all looked like routine passes to me. Throwing an 8 yard out route is gun slinging?

It took EJ 8 games to throw as many picks as Nasty Nate. let that sink in a little...

How did that work for the Seahawks? Actually I'm mad at KB for interfering. -

Technically he made the right decision based on the play. KB was single covered. Throw him the football. Better yet, just call a power dive right in the huddle and run that. If that doesn't work, run it again. -
I understand the frustration with Hotrod I really do. But it's taken us 17 years to find a QB better than Flutie which we had to dump so our future guy, rob Johnson could get in and win us all those Lombardi's. I'll gladly flat out dump Hotrod IF and WHEN we find someone better. I don't want to make the same mistake we did in 2004. That team went 9-7 had a lot of mojo rolling into the off season winning 6 out of the last 8 I think it was. Then we decided to dump our QB and go with a 1st round draft pick we just had to get in there. We didn't sniff the playoffs again for 10 years.

I was told by BeginnersMind that we didn't have good enough WRs and TE for a passing QB like Alex. What I want is for us to do what the Seahawks did. Bring back the incumbent starter (Tarvaris Jackson), sign one of the better FAs (Matt Flynn), and draft somebody (Russell Wilson). Then let 'em duke it out in PS. Best man plays, whoever that is. It's time to win! -

I disagree. I think he is an excellent QB. Better than anyone we've had since Flutie was runout of town, including Kyle Orton As far as the game Saturday, it was a really nice play by Alex to deflect that pass right back to Marcus. Also, Alex should have told that backup TE to catch the football. If we're not going to vastly improve our WRs and switch to a more passing offense, we might as well juzt keep Hotrod.
