  1. When did Cam win a SB? Why is Rivers on all these lists? One of the criteria for FQ is being competitive for 10-15 years. Chargers have been competitive with Rivers maybe 5 years.
  2. First off, I gotta scratch 7 names off of your list Smith - really. I was told over and over Smifh was not when I wanted to trade for him. Stafford - How many times has he gone to playoffs. Bradford - Mariota - he's not that good. Hotrod like. Goff Wentz True Biscuit. How can you possibly say with such a short career so far? Now you're at 33%. Trading 3#1s+ for a 33% chance seems crapshotish to me.
  3. yeah right. No bullies. Yeah right. Where was this? Saint Utopia High School?
  4. Did you video tape it and post it on FakeBook?
  5. I read the rest of the article and totally agree with this take by John: I have suggested on many threads about this that they shouldn't be able to slow it down more than to 1/3 speed. If they can't figure it out from that in 30 seconds, go with the call on the field. As soon as the ref goes "under the hood" or whatever, put a count down clock on the score board. Get to :00 with no decision, call stands. But still, I'd just prefer to dump the whole thing.
  6. I'm with John on this one. Just dump it. It's football. We don't have to be slaves to technology like everything else..
  7. Maybe you do. I don't. Sure I saw some of those games. He played pretty well I thought. Did you watch any or are you just going by stats? As I said earlier he was also on a tire fire team with coach with one foot out the door and the other on a banana peel. That had an impact too IMHO. I'd still sign him up today if I could. Battle it out with McCarron for the starting job. Competition brings out the best.
  8. Whenever I saw Brissett play he struck me as a "good between the 20s" QB. He could move the football, but once they got close he petered out and they either kicked FGs or worse.
  9. Hope it wasn't us trying to trade for him. You can't afford to downgrade at any position, let alone QB. Plus, he can't win in the snow.
  10. He would have too if Jim Harbaugh had not called 4 straight passes to Crabs at the end of thee game.. During the season in those situations they would often put a FB and TR in the backfield in the shotgun and run a power sweep to Colin. Still amazed me they didn't run that once. I'm with you. Colin is really good QB. Better than our QBs last year or this so far. Come on Beane. Stop screwin' around. Sign Colin. We're trying to win here.
  11. Mora Jr. said the same kind of things when he and Rosen were there. I think Rosen is an injury riddled pompous head case. He's got bust written all over him IMHO.
  12. Thanks for your service MajBobby. I was in the USMC. We were protecting our freedom. So as I see it, we protected these people's freedom to do what they want, not follow the crowd even if they don't want to. I see it as totally OK. However when I went to a couple of games right in the middle of the hooplah. Before the anthem started I went outside and listened to rock 'n roll on my ipod and protested the protest. Not the players but being identified asa racist if I stood and someone who hates America if I didn't. It was a false choice. I just wanna watch some football which is my freedom to do so.
  13. Actually I think the Viet Nam war was ended because of the draft. All those "Baby Boomers" protesting to end the draft had a big stake in it. If it didn't hurry up and end, when they ran out of college money, they'd be drafted and sent over. I think that was the motivating factor primarily.
  14. Seems to me whenever there is the rumor of more restrictive gun laws, the guns start flying off the shelves because people are afraid they government is coming after their guns. And, somebody's gotta buy 'em to sell to the criminals. Win Win.
  15. Baby Boomers won the battle. Do you think the MIC wanted out of Viet Nam? Of course the MIC has made a HUGE comeback many times over.
  16. I said "IF IT WERE UP TO ME" which obviously it is not. My opinion only. Your mileage may vary. Besides, I haven't been a GM so you have no idea if I would be good at it or not.
  17. We'll see. When "Baby Boomers" were your age, they were very idealistic and socially and politically involved as well. Just like kids today. They got politicians to finally end the Viet Nam war and the improvement in Civil Rights based on their activism and sticking it to the man. They beat the military industrial complex to get us out of Viet Nam. they're at least as powerful as the NRA and responsible for way more deaths. Then comes marriage, kids, jobs, mortgages, 401Ks, taking the darlings to soccer/violin/lacrosse practice etc. Leaves a lot less time for making signs and organizing marches.
  18. No boots on the ground. Obama deported 2,500,000 in 8 years. More than all of the presidents of the 20th century combined. Some after being pulled over for a burnt out tail light. No one cared. Most people I talk to have no idea. They look at me like I have 2 heads when I tell them.
  19. I will be happy if he just fires Bolton.
  20. What should "Baby Boomers" have done differently? You haven't been through this enough to know, but if you live long enough, you'll realize that every generation thinks their parents generation are morons and have screwed the world up. The Baby Boomers sure thought that the Greatest Generation messed things up. They thought the Roaring 20s generation screwed it up. Each has a case. As will the generation that follow you. 30 years from now Generation Z will be complaining that those selfish Xennials really screwed things up.
  21. This never happens to me because when someone tries to tell them that ,I remind them I was a certified Marksman with an M16 in the USMC. I do find it interesting however, that these kids who don't have the same backgound/experiences/life experience etc come up with the exact same solutions that are trotted out after every one of these mass shootings ("assault weapons" ban/gun show loop hole/background checks/high capacity magazines). I would think the uncluttered mind would be able to come up with some new perhaps out of the box solutions. Shoot, I've been able to come up with some other ideas, and my mind is very cluttered.
  22. NFL QBs have to have a short memory. How many times have we heard that? If he doesn't, then that's another reason he doesn't belong. Good thing time was almost out in the playoff game. that pick would likely have ruined that game too.
  23. Yes. I know it was his rookie year. No rookie has ever overcome a worse start because there's never been a worse start. I'm tired of wasting time with bad backup QBs taking up valuable roster space. He is to McDermott what Tuel Time was to Marrone. Only Tuel Time was better. Again, I have a new bottle of Tabasco in my pantry should I need to eat crow. Seriously doubt I'll need it,but if I Do, its ready.
  24. For a team as hard up for QB as us, to keep a guy who had the worst half since the NFL/AFL merger and then throws a pick on his first pass in the playoffs, is beyond me. Roster space and practice time are at a premium. Don't waste it. I'd rather draft another 5th rounder or sign a promising UFA. I would rather go down to Piggly Wiggly and get the most buff bag boy they got and see if he's the next Kurt Warner. Odds are probably better than sticking with Nasty Nate IMHO. Put him on the PS if you must.
