The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
reddogblitz replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
My candidate lost (Johnson) but I don't want to impeach anyone unless it can be proven they committed a high crime or misdemeanor. I think the whole impeach over Russia thing is dumb. It does feel like Ds are doing it because they lost to a reality show TV star. Please don't confuse me with a yellow dog democrat. I judge candidates and ideas on their own merit. OK, I answered your question, now I have one for you. Do you think it is a good precedent to set that if a president and congress can't agree, the president can stop paying people and still make them work which will trickle down and out through the economy? Would you be OK if a D prez said "I'm not signing a funding extension unless it includes Medicare for All?" -

Be careful B-Man. Is this really a precedent that we want to set? The prez can hold 800,000 government workers, their families, and all the supplier of said government work jobs and their families hostage over what the president and congress disagree on? How would you feel if the next D prez that comes along says "I will not sign a funding extension until it includes Medicare for All?" I can see both sides of this wall thing. Wouldn't bother me either way. However, the idea that a precedent will be set that a president can hold American citizens hostage to black mail congress into passing what (S)he wants gives me chills. If Trump gets away with this, future presidents will as well and I don't think we want to go there. -

Did they have to put it on delay to fact check it Bill Clinton really "did not have sexual relations with that woman Miss Lewinsky"? Or if there were really "no boots on the ground" in Afganistan when Obama repeatedly said so? -

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

D's already look like fools and incompetent for losing to Donald once. I'm not so sure they can clean up their act in the next year and 10 months or not. So far at least, they seem to be doubling down on the same strategy they lost with last time. i agree. However he is the only D possible candidate I've heard that doesn't want to get down in the mud and wrestle with the pig. It's early. -
Wild Card Sunday: More FA targets to watch
reddogblitz replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly I don't know. I don't handle the Bills finances, understand the salary cap, and I'm a football ? fan, not an accounting fan. We DO have 90 mil or so I've heard many times. I just know the QB we traded several good players and trade up substantial draft capitol on wasn't able to do as much to develop throwing to schmucks with bad hands. That needs to change. I think Golden with his talent, history of winning and drive to succeed is just what the doctor ordered. As i see it, we need to bring in 2, preferably 3 guys that are better than what we have. Look at the guys that Luck, Foles, Dak, Watson, Rivers, and Russel were throwing to this weekend. If we want to compete we need that too. How much would you say is too much? -

He'll be 31 on opening day. For a WR that's not too old. Did you see today's game? IMHO we need to bring in some smart good hands vets to help Josh develop AND help us win. How far do we want to kick the can down the road? Cap's straightened out, it's time to win. You get what you pay for. Gheez, I'd probably take Chris Burkett over Golden Staph. -
Most people would probably be wrong then. What years were they "Swiss cheese"? I looked back to 2014 and since then they've been in the top 10 in fewest points per game except one year. Their HC IS a pretty smart D coach you know.

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

I saw an interview with Terry McAuliffe. He said 50 50 he runs. He said they need an optimistic positive message of optimism to win as opposed to "I'm not Trump". He has a good record as governor of VA in regards to employment and marketable skills training, or so he says. i always considered him a goober. But now I'm intrigued because that's exactly what I think. you don't want to get down in the mud to fight a pig cuz you're gonna get muddy. And, the pig likes it. I remember what happened to Rubio when he got out his cell phone and tried to out Trump Trump. -

Golden is my #1 FA WR target. Great hands. League leading RAC. A true baller of the highest order. With at least 1 SB win would be a great influence and example for the rest of our WRs. Would look great in a Bills suit. Please. Pretty please. -
As could have Hotrod one year ago today from the 1, but I digress. So we are in agreement. It's not all offense

Except there was :26 left and Seattle had one timeout and it was 2nd down (they gave it to the Beast on 1st down). How ya gonna run it 4 times? https://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2015020100/2014/POST22/patriots@seahawks i would argue that Russell also "brung ya". No argument that Atlanta blew it. D could have helped but didnt. Tommy's D helped him and they won. No doubt rules are slanted to O. I just disagree that it's ALL offense which is what I initially responded to. The final 4 teams in 2017 all were in the top 5 in fewest points per game given up. We'll see what happens this year. Of the 8 teams left, all are in top 14 in fewest points given up except Rams and Cheaps. NE at 7 btw. Am looking forward to seeing what Rams do vs Cowboys D (#6). Cowboys D did a number on the Saints O a few weeks ago. Likewise Cheaps vs Indy D (#10).

thanks for responding. You make some good points. However Seattle did not give the football to the Beast because he was like 1 for 6 on the season on 3rd and 4th and 1. AND, Russell Wilson IS one of their best guys too. Wether they should have or not is irrelevant because they didnt. Butter made a great DEFENSIVE play to seal the win. Butter said he knew it was a pass because RW came out of the huddle and looked over and signaled something to WR. Wouldn't do that on a run so he did what he did. Had Bill Bellyache followed your strategy and just put some guy out there because all that matters is offense he d have one less Lombardi today and Pete one more. And as far as Atlanta goes, regardless of it Brian had run of not, if they could have gotten one stop, they win. Again, why does it have to be one of the other? Best TEAM wins. In 2017, the Eagles had the 4th best defense in both yards per game and fewest points per game btw. NE was 5th in fewest points per game given up. But they do it all with offense, right?

WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills
reddogblitz replied to LEBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like it. But if he uses the football as a prop its gonna be a problem. Last time we had a Grey Cup champ on the team we made the playoffs 2:years in a row :). -
IIRC the Patsies** won the SB a few years ago due to a defensive play. Patsies** would have one less Lombardi if Atlanta could have played any D in the second half. Why does it have to be one of the other? My theory is you gotta be great on one side and above average on the other.

Buffalo's reputation amongst free agents
reddogblitz replied to clayboy54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you think we should make the other team comfortable? F@&% 'em if they don't like it. i think we should do like Hayden Fry and paint their locker room pink. It's a calming color. -
I am on record while eating an Earl Campbell sausage with my brother in the Jerry Dome parking lot pre-drsft saying "My night mare scenario is we trade up and take Josh Allen" which we indeed did. Now I'm thinking he might be the guy. All the running and stuff is fun, but you ain't gonna win a heck of a lot of games that way. Still worried about his passing ability. Sure he can throw it a country mile, but we don't necessarily know where it's gonna come down. I think he is a gamer and has good leadership which is HUGE. We could play a similar style to Seattle with the scramble drill plays etc and he can make some big plays. Still concerned if he is a good enough passer to make it work. He's got a lot of work to do. So yes,it's changed.

Mitt Romney 2020?

Running as an independent would give him his best chance to do Trump in.
