A Carbon Tax has been put on the ballot via citizen's initiative twice in my state (Washington, one of the greenest) but has been voted down twice due to the tax increase. In order to do the New Green Deal, it would require everyone buying in and taking it in the shorts in the interest of future generations. This is why I think it has no chance. You can't get everyone to buy into ANYTHING, mush less something that won't even help them much if any. And then there's the politics involved. @transplantbillsfan - What do you think about using geo engineering to help this? I think this is a direction that has a better chance of success than everyone cutting back on things and paying higher taxes.

Andrew is. He is actually talking about and has a plan for what I see as a threat on the horizon which is jobs being eliminated by automation and AI. I have been listening a little bit. I kindof like him. He seems really smart. I like that he's addressing the problem of AI and automation and the Gig economy reducing jobs and incomes of people holding jobs to be eliminated. Not 100% sure UBI is the answer. I question that if people are given $1000 a month they will use it for productive purposes. It would have a big impact on the economy however. I see this as probably the number one problem for society moving forward. What are people gonna do and how are they going to support themselves? Yet no one except Andrew and Bernie ever talk about it. I also like that he doesn't even talk about Trump. We know, he's a racist/sexist/homophobe/xenophone/LGBTQ hater/Russia conspirator/scumbag. What are you going to do besides investigate? Andrew at least talks about real stuff. Someone else mentioned him and Rogan.
