I think it's kindof funny that Ds are now concerned about things that are "moral". 20 years ago the Rs got roasted by the Ds for taking a "moral" stance on 2 parent households and "family values". Government had no business dictating "morals". It was a personal choice and one is not necessarily better than another. Or so I was told ... -

I'm bummed. No football now til August. I watched every Memphis Express game as they were my team. I watched some others as well. It was fun. I always wonder why these leagues want to play in HUGE empty stadiums. Looks bad on TV. Would seem that if they played in smaller stadiums like small college or some of those big HS stadiums they have in TX their costs would be less and on TV it wouldn't look like they have no fans. But I'm all for spring football. Bring on the XFL!0

I don't really care about his Uncle Joe touch feely thing. I won't for him for the same reason I wouldn't vote for Hillary. He got snookered by W Bush and Uncle Dick and has the blood of a million brown people on his hands. When a politician makes a decision as horrendous as that one, he/she should admit it, apologize to the country, and go away never be seen or heard from again. -

Actually, I'm not saying send homeless people to Dallas . Here's what I said regarding the people to move to a city where they can afford to live: This would not include people that are addicted to heroin or alcohol or suffer from mental illness and live in a box. it's more people on the cusp of not being able to afford to live in Seattle and are enterprising and want out. Seattle housing costs are out of reach for a lot of people. If they lived in a city where housing costs were $600 per month for an apartment instead of $1800, they would be able to live without government/charity assistance. cities like Dallas and Houston can grow out which results in more affordable living options. Seattle is land locked between mountains and ocean. They can only get more dense (which they're doing). Supply and demand. Housing shortage means higher prices. A lot higher. It's an out of the box idea, but so far the inside the box ideas have not worked. I just don't believe they can legislate and tax their way to "affordable housing". Got a better idea? -

I live in a Seattle suburb and this is a real problem here. This was in the paper today. A man, even though given extra time had his truck towed and a Judge says he gets it back and doesn't have to pay because he is poor. I have little to no idea what the answer is, but like the guy in the video in the trash can, if they give these people breaks and don't punish them, then are they really helping them? It's a tough problem. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/homeless/judge-rules-seattle-homeless-mans-truck-is-a-home/ Seattle thinks they can legislate and tax their way out of this problem. City council passed a law saying if you are building housing you have to alot X% for "affordable Housing" units. Or, pay a fine and the city will then build "affordable housing". Builders just pay the fine and charge more the houses. I think Seattle is projected to build 2500 units in the next 4 years with the proceeds according to the mayor. Really? I think they need to realize Seattle is an expensive place to live and help people that can't afford it move out. Let people volunteer and train them in a skill for a couple of months and pay their moving costs to Dallas or Houston or Atlanta or somewhere there are a lot more jobs for people with marginal skills. Then they can afford to live on their own. Thus generating less new homeless people. Probably get a bigger bang for the buck that way. Some of these homeless or near homeless people that don't want to be that way could get out. -

I think I feel a Howard Dean scream type moment on the horizon for someone. Will also be interesting to see who goes 6 for 6 in coin clips in Iowa in 9 months. -

She said "They" which I would take to mean Republicans. But, that was before the switch, so not sure, maybe it really was the racist Democrats. this stuff is confusing . And wasn't America White Again back then? She wants to take us back to that? -
I wasn't fooled by it either. I knew it was fake because the famous "P tape" never came out. In this day it age if it existed it would have been out within a month or two. Still waiting on it ...

This is becoming Uncle Joe's Hillary's damn emails. There are now 2. Elizabeth and Uncle Joe. Although I must say I'm confused. For the last 2 1/2 years I've been hearing when a woman make an accusation against a powerful privileged male, she is to be believed. Yet my blue dog friends tell me its OK and the lady accuser is lying. -

Good point. But the scenario you mentioned is different because the cat in VA was not running against women. And if he quit as toxic masculinity men should, then a R would have been in and we can't have that. When Al quit, another D took his place, which is cool. And it cleared one less opponent for Gildebrand in 2020 so it was worth it. It's all BS anyway. Bill Clinton did the classic toxic masculinity thing of being in a powerful position and using it to get sex from an underling. Yes Hillary and the Ds still think he's OK. And, Hillary tried to destroy her. If it weren't for Linda Tripp and the blue dress, Monica would either be in jail, an insane asylum, or dead. Who was it that used to crow about 2 Americas? -

I already put the over/under at 2 weeks from when Uncle Joe announces until a woman comes forward and says Uncle Joe grabbed her by the &$#@(9+ while taking a photo ala Al Franken because a, look at Past photos, and b, that's how the game is now played. -
Having a powerful person's friend make a call working the good ole boy network to get your friend off smacks of white male privilege to me. Yet they are all minority women. I'm confused.
