  1. I understand it's a "penalty" and regardless if the timing is quesitonable, I'm firmly of the belief that the ref should know better and eat his !@#$ing whistle on that play. If it was 4th and less than 10, call it all day. 4th and 11-15, think about it first. But 4th and 18!? When the penalty otherwise had ZERO bearing on the play, that's a call that let's a team off the hook way too much, and a referee should know better than to insert himself into the game. There's the letter of the law, and the spirit of the law. And the !@#$ing referee should no better.
  2. Anyone notice who wasn't on the field? Anyone notice the extremely smart, veteran play made by the guy who was on the field in his place?
  3. On what planet is Byrd incentivized to sit on the sidelines and count his money? If he really wants to be paid, he'll get out on the field as soon as he possibly can. Until then, he's proving himself a liability. There's no reason for him not to play.
  4. Gentlemen--I'm curious to see how this chart evolves. From watching the games, it seems like our run defense generates many, many, more negative, zero or one yard gains. I plotted the date through two games in 2013 and 2012 to see if this is the case, comparatively. So far, it is. Where we gave up the highest percentage of runs of three and four yards, now we've slid back to one and zero yards. Again, only two games worth of data, so feel free to ignore until November. But an interesting snapshot, thus far. GO BILLS!
  5. All I can say is there must be more to the story. When a guy can't find the field under two consecutive coaching regimes, something's going on.
  6. Could have captured the same video but with twice the crowd at the Chicago bar. But, ya know, I was too busy watching the team win. GO BILLS!
  7. Looked like it came after the kick though. Whatever. It was a lousy call to set THEM up for a TD, and we got one back with the PI.
  8. If it's not fake, it's damn impressive. I'm only skeptical of its authenticity because of his slap shot that "hits" the camera at the end.
  9. Sounds like Arkin is really going to flex his range with this role. Surely I'm not the only one getting a little tired of his beloved schtick.
  10. Penalties cost us two critical third-down pickups on drives that resulted in punts...
  11. So...is someone going to tap him on the shoulder to remind him of that 30 month old quote?
  12. Vince is her second love:
  13. --This is Doug --Coach Marrone, Big Cat here. --Hiya, Big Cat. What can I do for ya? --It's time to start kicking ass. -- --You hear me? It's time to start kicking ass. --You know something? You're right. Thank you. --You're welcome. See you at Fitzpatick's post-game chilli party? --Obviously. --Nice.
  14. Looks like it's hitting its head on a steel beam.
  15. That line from As Good as it Gets at 4:30 is one of my all time favorites.
  16. I'm saying a three and out after another first down. So upwards of 4-8 additional plays under 8 minutes.
  17. You didn't think I'd track you down!? http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/161304-the-ej-manuel-thread-not-impressed/page__st__400#entry2905874
  18. Totally agree, and I was very assured to read his comments yesterday. The guy has just returned from attending to family business following his grandfather's suicidal rampage (not even hyperbole). If Graham's feature piece is accurate (and while I hate the guy, I have no reason to believe it's not), CJ probably came back to Buffalo with a full head of steam, with something to prove and thus he reverted back to rookie form, out running his blockers, not seeing the lanes, trying to bounce it out and run faster than everyone.
  19. And again, you're missing the point. Colin Brown played terribly: on this we all agree. The offense couldn't find its rhythm: on this we all agree. However, in this case, correlation most certainly does not equal causation. Between the drops, the penalties, and CJ reverting to his rookie self, there were many factors contributing to the offense's lackluster performance that would have likewise set them back, even if we had a genetically engineered Franken-guard playing in Brown's place.
  20. That's not the point. You tried to contend that we ran poorly because of our LG. That's false. We could have run very well in spite of our LG.
