  1. Since my confidence has virtually no bearing on the team whatsoever, I'm totally comfortable saying: we're going to win our next two games, both by at least 10 points.
  2. I don't like any of them, may be the Jefs, but it's a stretch. Logos should be simple.
  3. To be clear: we're talking about the after noon shift: 4 pm for the East Coasters, like this week's game.
  4. I have a feeling we find out Sunday that SURPRISE! Jairus is back! http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/09/18/byrd-update-5/
  5. From this: http://deadspin.com/why-your-team-sucks-2013-new-england-patriots-1238962098 You people have won the Worst Fans on the !@#$ing Planet title belt for 30 years in a row. You're horrible when you win, and you're especially horrible when you lose—i.e., when you get to drive more nails into your wrists and drag your stupid crosses from WEEI to WBZ and back again. Even in good times, you !@#$s show off your losses like a kindergartener showing off a booboo. THIS IS THE SKINNED KNUCKLE I GAWT WHEN TYREE MADE THAT LUCKY CATCH! SOME SCAHHHHHS NEVAH HEAL! You have three Super Bowl titles and yet you will invariably find a way to B word about the ones you didn't (and shouldn't) have won. You will simultaneously wax nostalgic for the old days and curse them in equal measure. You will complain about Belichick losing his touch while simultaneously lording his genius over opposing fans. You'll brag about Robert Kraft's classiness while threatening to fist someone's ladyfriend for wearing a Giants jersey to Gillette Stadium. You are whiny, sniveling, self-absorbed, two-faced posers who eat your young. All of you. I !@#$ing hate the Patriots and my favorite day of every year is the day they get knocked out of the playoffs.
  6. Ugh, late game this Sunday. Not a fan, myself. Where does everyone else come down? To be clear: we're talking about the after noon shift: 4 pm for the East Coasters, like this week's game.
  7. Good thing the earth didn't swallow us all whole or we'd all be dead.
  8. Totally agreed. I tried to make this point before the game. In all seriousness, I blame Fantasy Football. Absent a RB stud, nobody thinks of the Pats* as what they are: a team that runs the ball VERY effectively.
  9. It means he's practicing with the second team.
  10. Yup. Convincing myself that this is the case has assuaged my fears about him leaving. But here's a legit question: does he want to be a HC?
  11. FWIW: he's with the scout team today. Per Twitter.
  12. People thought I was crazy when I expressed confidence in Leodis, given the right coaching formula. Glad to see you're all finally starting to see the light. Leodis + Stephon = great things
  13. SEE: Rushing portion of the box scores: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201309080buf.htm http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201309150buf.htm Pats*: LE: 0 Runs LT: 9, 65 LG: 3, 32 MD: 15, 51 RG: 0 Runs RT: 4, 6 RE: 0 Runs Carolina: LE: 0 Runs LT: 3, 10 LG: 3, 11 MD: 16, 72 RG: 5, 21 RT: 5, 11 RE: 0 Rus TOTALS: LE: 0 Runs LT: 12, 75 (6.25 ypc) LG: 6, 43 (7.16 ypc) MD: 31, 123 (3.96 ypc) RG: 5, 21 (4.2 ypc) RT: 9, 27 (3 ypc) RE: 0 Runs
  14. I don't think it's bad, I don't think it's good. We're still seeing some big gains, but we're also seeing a higher volume of 1, 0 and negative yard runs.
  15. 9 runs of 6 or more vs. 26 of 5 or less Also: see my other post that ONE player was responsible for these runs vs. the system, as has been the case.
  16. Okay, another TIME OUT!! Joe B deserves some serious !@#$ing props for this. Following him on Twitter, I know he started watching film yesterday around 3, finished around 9, then this was posted at 1 a.m. THAT'S mother !@#$ing journalism, fellas. Tim Graham, take some !@#$ing notes. JOE B! JOE B! JOE B! JOE B! JOE B! JOE B! JOE B! JOE B! JOE B! JOE B! JOE B! JOE B!
  17. I actually tried to make that determination...if ypc happened to increase with no. of carries, but then life got in the way. Also, what is encouraging about these stats: combined with some of the all-22 analyses, we know that two of their long runs came when Dareus just got completely blown up and taken out of the play. Worrisome, since it means it can and will happen again. Reassuring, because it's not a systematic flaw with our "run defense" as in years-past.
  18. How has nobody mentioned CJ's habit of having HUGE plays against the Jets? We might struggled with their defense, but we'll be able to move the ball and score. On the flip side, we are going to make Geno Smith look like a pants-crapping imbecile. I knew we'd be able to confuse Cam, and we did. I was fairly confident we could fool Brady here and there, and a couple times we did. I know for certain Geno Smith is going to be completely !@#$ing lost out there. He's going to take sacks, throw some wildly bad interceptions, may be fumble it a few times and look--for the most part--like he has no business in the league.
  19. Whoa whoa whoa, TIME OUT!! I already posted this in the week following the Pats* game. The run defense--for the most part-- was not that bad: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/161319-1-sack-for-the-d-line/page__view__findpost__p__2904939
  20. Well, I think you know what I meant because you went and reiterated my point with your second part.
  21. Why should I disrupt the fiction you've created: that I think Stevie's a lousy football player and that I'd rather him not be on our team?
  22. Right. Nobody here doesn't not believe it would.
  23. 15 according to Pro-football-reference 15 yards 18 points 32 in plays (thanks, Pats*) 5 in yards per play (Jets are 2, but again, factor in the Monsoon debacle) 4 in Net Yards per pass attempt
