  1. It's possible. With 15 different opponents to "plan for" though, it might all be a wash.
  2. See, I kinda like the possibility of a Super Bowl with questions like: can the pass-happy aerial NFC Champ match the physical, pounding style of this year's AFC Champ? It would be cool to see conferences evolve to take on a particular style...
  3. I'm tired of talking about the Jets, and I'm scared to talk about the Ravens. So let's talk about something that may--or may not--have been hashed out here before. Niners, Seahawks, Saints, Falcons, Packers, Bears. Those are the six best teams in the NFC right now, and one of them won't make the playoffs because division winners get an automatic pass. My suggestion: Eliminate divisions. Reduce the regular season schedule to 15 games. Play everyone in your conference once. Top six gets in. Like the days of yore, like the baseball days of yore, AFC and NFC meet in the Super Bowl only. Discuss.
  4. Ha, yep. And it's a great looking swing too. Everything else seems to have gone...perfectly.
  5. As an imgurian, I could do this for days:
  6. And what's the story with Gilmore? We're right up against 4-6 weeks.
  7. STEP 3: Profit Right now our team is weathering injuries at: Safety Cornerback Defensive Line Wide Receiver Offensive Line WRT CB: there top TWO receivers are out. Are they expected to carry a third CB who's just as effective? How many positions do they need to have second and third stringers as good as our starters?
  8. How many people here vote Dizzy because she shows her ta-ta's. Be honest. I did.
  9. Is it time to axe my family to bits then burn down the Overlook Hotel?
  10. So then you agree with me that Hackett's not to blame. Perfect.
  11. Are you willfully ignoring all the information in this thread that points the blame away from Hackett??
  12. They got away from that gameplan a lot faster than you're giving them credit for.
  13. But the read option isn't a play call. It's not a call to Spiller. It's on EJ to read correctly and react. At some point he's going to have to learn to do things they ask him to do. Ask Russell Wilson how it's working: just fine. And when EJ did run it right a few times, it did work. It's a play designed to do exactly what so many here are SCREAMING for Hackett to do: get CJ the ball in space. At some point, EJ has to make the defense respect him.
  14. If you don't have the exact numbers, then don't make up some wildly inaccurate hyperbole that helps make your (thusly) misinformed proclamation. Also, see below: A So the play we ran "over and over" was the read option. Of course. Thank you for completely validating me. Because if it's the "playcalling" then in this case that's like three "playcalls" in one. The fact that our rookie QB ran it poorly, the fact that CJ's vision is lousy (we've known this since 2010) means the "playcalling" is not to blame. Chalk one up for ole Big Cat.
  15. Please clarify: Weeks? He was listed at 4-6 weeks 4-6 weeks ago. Has there been an update?
  16. You're right, completely misread it. But Chad Penning was drafted in 2000. Either way, fixed it.
  17. 50 plays? he has 43 attempts on the season, bruh. This kind of hyperbole yanks any and all credibility from otherwise reasonable arguments. Someone with All-22 please verify precisely how many times we ran the "exact same play." This allegation is (likely) false, and getting old.
  18. So, we're back to calling them queens again?
  19. I'm really happy to see we like Aaron Williams now...for now.
  20. Your mom His mom My mom Google http://nfldraftdiamonds.com/?p=10563
  21. Nice post. I still maintain that Chan's offense--even with Fitz running it--was a playoff offense hamstrung by a high school-caliber defense. But that's completely irrelevant . To your point: this coaching staff seems keen on adapting, so I trust they'll incorporate a different approach like the one you've outlined.
