  1. I've noticed Nikell Robey gets dialed up on a lot of blitzes, more so than the other DB's. Who takes over those duties when Gilmore, Byrd and Brooks are back? Because Robey's not that good at it.
  2. Ran the screen, yes. It worked, yes. But it didn't look pretty. Just saying. I'm glad the ran it, but it confirmed my suspicion: the line and EJ don't have the timing yet to run it effectively. Also: the pendulum has swung back. Last year folks were SCREAMING for Chan to run the ball. We've run it 86 times in the last two games. May be we don't need to go that far, but we have a rookie QB who may--or may not--be ready and able to run a scheme like what Chan would put him through.
  3. Jesus. God, no. Do NOT bring back Moorman. He was NOT good in his last THREE years in Buffalo. He is not STILL good. Powell was an improvement.
  4. The point remains, though. We could use a physical freak like Mingo roaming the field. Options in this year's draft? Between Alonso and Lawson, our LB's are still only half way to being elite. Don't get me wrong, they're very good right now. But Moats and Bradham aren't exactly world beaters out there.
  5. Yep. It was the easiest call the refs had to make all night. And I loved it.
  6. I'm not trying to be a lap dog for the FO, but I honestly can't imagine what they could have done to control the Byrd situation. LG, I'll give you. WR?? The biggest problem of TC/PS was having too much talent at WR! Where else are we thing? TE may be? But this roster was GUTTED the 9 months between hiring Marrone and kickoff of week one. I'm not really sure what else we should expect... This probably belongs in one of the "FIRE HACKETT NOW" threads. But a quick observation that I haven't heard anyone touch on: I'm very intrigued by the context of a very frustrated Tuel coming back to the sidelines, captured on television demonstrably upset yelling IT'S WIDE OPEN...anyone else see that? Anyone else care to speculate?
  7. I totally agree. But if they try and fail, we won't hear about it. But that won't stop fans from saying WTF ARE THEY DOING!?
  8. Particularly after a loss. The 180 in less than 12 hours is just incredible.
  9. Yeah, some of the criticism of A. Williams seem out of place given the throws/catches coming his way.
  10. I assume you're referring to backup QB...so...are you forgetting that we signed Kolb? That there was a mad offseason rush to gobble up anything that even remotely resembled QB talent?
  11. Can Byrd play QB? No? Then he wasn't needed last night. There was no safety assignment on any of the long balls (hopefully).
  12. So...we lost last night...because of Gailey?
  13. Remind me again which ones are sitting on their couches without a job right now.
  14. Didn't read all three pages. Just looked like OP forgot about the guy named Kolb. Re: Kolb--lol at all the people who NOW say that Fitz was better. Kolb for Fitz was a push. Always was.
  15. Where's the concert?
  16. Me on the outside: Me on the inside:
  17. If we can get through the first half of the season at 5-3, then welcome Gilmore, Byrd, Brooks and Goodwin back into the line up to close out the year? YOWSERS--it's like the Bills injury bug of years-past...in reverse
  18. I'm not afraid of their offense...ONE BIT. If we can score points on their D, with our D, or on ST, we should be able to lock their offense down.
  19. If I hear Rodney Harrison say "The Bills traded up" ONE...MORE...TIME...
  20. Which one is going to make the switch to defense?
  21. Please read the NYT article I posted. Bolded = not true.
  22. Dude. Seriously? The Bills have a uniform. The Bills wear that uniform for less than 3/4 of their games. It's not that difficult of a concept.
