  1. Except they didn't "mess up clock management." Messing up clock management would be calling two time outs in the third quarter. Being aggressive to end the half is not poor clock management, it was a STRATEGY that didn't work out. And we treat these "mistakes" as if no other team in the history of football experiences them. So when Pete Carroll does the same thing, it IS relevant to the validity of naysayers "argument."
  2. Let's just find a cage and a zip-up patent leather body suit with no eye holes and go full-on Pulp Fiction style (sans-sodomy) until the Bills bring home the Lombardi. That seems reasonable.
  3. Again, I understand coaching blunders when I see one. And our team, like every other team, at every other level of football, has made some this year. But I don't go looking for them, like some posters here. I don't frame EVERY short coming of the team as a coaching mistake, like some posters here. And I don't blow coaching mistakes out of proportion, like some posters here.
  4. I agree with both sides. Which is why you will rarely find me bitching endlessly about "coaching."
  5. I also love the idea that Marrone (not the GM) had "plenty of time to find someone else" as if TIME and not availability of talent would have put a better QB on the roster. Not the mention were were TWO WEEKS into preseason. So even the assertion itself (that we had "plenty of time") is completely false. You forgot the embarassing loss in week one in New York. You also glossed over the fluke win in Arizona. You also didn't mention the defensive abortion that was the Tennessee game in week seven last year. This is a different team. No questions asked. These next four games: if we can finish 2-2...oh boy...
  6. Then all four of our losses weren't really losses??
  7. And if they would have run out the clock, there'd be criticism aplenty for being conservative.
  8. I guess you weren't out of strawmen, after all, huh? The posters here who find something negative about EVERY game are like beavers at the top of the Hancock Tower...no threat of flood, but you're going to build that dam anyway because it's what you do. What were some of the positives you've pointed out about yesterday? Links would be nice. Or, have you just commissioned yourself to offset every shred of positivity by pointing out all the negatives? After close losses, do you find anything positive to talk about? Or can there be no positive because it's a loss?
  9. I must not have communicated well. I think the people being negative are just that. They're negative after wins, they're negative after losses. From their perspective, it doesn't matter how good we play in a loss, because it's a loss. But that logic doesn't seem to apply to wins.
  10. Unless he lost his balance because of contact with a defender...
  11. The same people being negative after a win are the same people who tell everyone to stop being positive after a loss. After all, a loss is a loss and a win is an opportunity to find areas for improvement.
  12. They won a division game on the road with a quarterback who was on the practice squad three weeks ago, and this is what warrants discussion? Dark days.
  13. Marrone in post game presser said he miss-kicked it.
  14. probably the dumbest throw thad could have made
  15. NOW THROW THE !@#$ING BALL DOWNFIELD
  16. There's the Moorman some of us remember
  17. One of the best plays of SJ's career...
  18. Are any of these really unpopular?
  19. Stevie Johnson is a clown whose best years are behind him now that Chan's scheme and his buddy Fitz have gone bye bye. Lee Evans was never really that good.
