  1. How bout you read any of the numerous all-22 evaluations that are out there?
  2. Can we please pin this post: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/163015-to-those-of-you-who-defend-hackett/page__st__40#entry2955050 so threads like this can just go away?
  3. Precisely what I expected you to share.
  4. Good that you hinted at this, too: there are more than two types of runs. If it's not a pitch or a toss, it's not simply a "run up the middle."
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A
  6. Does everyone in this thread calling for him to rest realize that the Saints give up among the league's worst ypc: 5.1? It seems like if we're going to win, we need to attack them where they're vulnerable, and finally this season CJ has favorable conditions to do so.
  7. I think you countered claims of cherry picking with a little cherry picking yourself, but one point is extremely valid: they do not sustain enough drives. First downs as a percentage of plays run: 26% good for 31st in the league. For perspective, Denver is first at 39%, 32 team average is 31% and the one team we're ahead of: Jacksonville.
  8. Yeah. Curiously. this notion has been bouncing around this thread quite a bit.
  9. Why? How? How is this conclusion reached? When does this become the logical outcome of thought?
  10. I mean it's not to TOTALLY refute your claim. They haven't lost at home this year. And they didn't lose at all in 2011. But the calendar thing is a bit skewed by that lil ole year-long suspension.
  11. Is it Ronnie Wingo time? We had reverses in consecutive weeks against Cleveland then Cincy. At the very least. I think there have been others.
  12. Whoa there, Ace. Last time Payton lost in NOLA was Jan. 2, 2011.
  13. You're suggesting extreme, unmitigated incompetence the likes of which is just as unlikely and spurious as the claims that our offense is secretly the best in the NFL. So, instead he should design every play for Spiller to be bounced to the outside? He has to go up the gut every one in a while. And when he does he gets 3-6 yards...consistently. It's the plays that he's moving laterally behind the line that haven't worked. Plus, there's a lot of revisionist history here as to how flawlessly Chan used Spiller last year, when a.) everyone was SCREAMING for him to use Spiller like Hackett does now and b.) he used him in dual sets with Freddy about as often as Hackett has also. See: Easley, Marcus. It's just you.
  14. And that doesn't apply to the other 30 teams in the league...because?
  15. You're right, maniacal driving isn't necessarily dangerous driving.
  16. As far as the next two games go: The Saints have squared off against opponents whose combined record is 17-22. The Chiefs: 15-33 The Bills: 26-21 I expect both games to--at the very least--stay close.
  17. I see. Specifically what is the annoyance index that justifies causing someone serious injuries or death?
  18. Why are fans so fixated on "play calling?" Does our offense fail because they called the "wrong" play? Or because of lousy execution?
  19. The "predictable" criticism lost a lot of momentum when it was revealed that most of those "same" play calls were poorly run read-options by our rookie quarterback. Also, I crunched the numbers. And while we DO run it substantially more often on first down than we pass, the MAJORITY of those plays are successful (4 yards or more). So, if you acknowledge that they're one of the most consistent scoring teams in the league, how is it that what you can or can't predict has any bearing on the actual field-product?
  20. It's an Apache Helicopter at a knife fight...over the last M&M. It's not reasonable, by any stretch of the imagination.
  21. Watching it now, 20 years later, I find the my threshold for comedy has shifted a bit since I was nine. Either way, it's a music video that really stands out in my conscious memory.
  22. Meanwhile: Spiller: I aint gonna let no ankle injury stop me Spiller on Marrone's comments: nobody knows my body better than me. He can only go off what he sees on film. Spiller says he's 10 times better this week than last week. Him and Marrone telling two different stories today Spi
  23. Understood. And it's no mystery what my bias is since I'm a bike commuter here in Chicago. As such, I've had people lay on their horns and scream at me through their windshields then aggressively peel out when I've delayed them for--at most--a couple seconds, time EASILY made up without having to gun it. It goes to show that people have an unreasonable aggression towards cyclists that I've argued here repeatedly. Unreasonable because one lousy experience with a bad **** crazy, road warrior messenger on a 2 oz fixie does not a relationship with ALL cyclists make, and unreasonable because it manifests itself often times into unwarranted aggression that is downright dangerous to the cyclists out there.
