  1. At the Bengals game last week, talking to some fans around us, it was amazing to me the number of people who weren't around for the SB run. Most were amazed when I told them I was at the first ever game at what was then, Rich Stadium. Moral of the story: I'm freakin' old.
  2. Yeah, that was a great one, but they got blown out the next week in NE and had to knock down a Joe Montana Hail Mary at the end of the SF game to win the division. Lose that game in SF and they're not even getting into the playoffs. I was standing that whole fourth quarter and told my mother that if they lose, I'm throwing myself into the Christmas tree.
  3. Same exact scenario happened with me last month.
  4. How did they go from 12-4 in 1988 to 9-7 in 1989? There wasn't one thing to put a finger on, but they had to squeak out a win in the opener in Miami, looked flat in the Monday Night opener, lost on a last second FG to a bad Atlanta team, Kelly got hurt (but Reich filled in admirably) but as I recall near the end of the season, they got blown out in SF, lost to an average New Orleans team at home in the snow, but blew out the Jets to win a very poor division. The Bickering Bills were born (which I thought was blown way out of proportion) and the Cleveland playoff game was a back and forth battle which I was at along with another 20,000 Bills fans. But that Cleveland game gave birth to the K-Gun, which the Bills employed at the start of 1990.
  5. I recall reading recently that of DTV's 20 million subscribers, only two million subscribe to ST. Thought that was a very low-ball number.
  6. OJ's 2003 yard season was 1973. My top five in no particular order and for obvious reasons: 1990 1988 1993 1973 1989
  7. Niagara Falls has an airport?
  8. We were at Gate 4, to the right of the Bills store, last week around 12:15, got in around 12:45 or so. I would avoid this gate in the future.
  9. Karma's sometimes nasty, ain't she?
  10. Good info here...wish the Bills would have transmitted as such.
  11. Never a realized a defensive penalty, especially a normal five-yarder, on the XP kick sends the ball to the one yard line.
  12. Tried transferring tickets several times to Wallet and the barcode or whatever you need (QR?), never appeared. Have used it for various Ticketmaster events in the past and it has worked. Didn't know what the problem at New Era was.
  13. Regarding food, pulled into Wegmans on McKinley around 9:00 am and they had NINE people working the sub station...absolute seamless transaction. Wegmans really knows what they're doing.
  14. Had tickets in the Ticketmaster and One Buffalo app and also in the wallet. Like above, barcode never loaded in the wallet. Got in line at Gate 4 at 12:15, got in stadium at 12:45. Poor woman with the scanner was having a terrible time scanning my phone, even as the barcode was active. There's got to be a better mousetrap.
  15. Wait until live betting becomes commonplace...NFL popularity will continue to grow.
  16. Other than Minnesota, those are all pretty soft NFL markets. But the TV product is just so damn good these days, especially if you're a fantasy guy, which I'm not. Redzone, HD, convenience to home amenities...going to a live sporting event today is just not worth it. Baseball is hemorrhaging worse than the NFL..
  17. I also put mine in my Apple Wallet, which doesn't show the bar code until 48 hours before kickoff...so I now have tickets in the One Buffalo app, the Ticketmaster app and the Wallet. Sheesh...
  18. It was during ST, so this one's on Elias.
  19. Could have gotten more production out of Peaches and Herb...this looks like a big screw-up for the Elias regime.
  20. Take down the 12th Man, put up a bust of Pinto Kenny and be done with it.
  21. I agree. The Chicago market is too big to give up at 4:25. Bills-NE will be the top early game though.
