Tavaris Jackson as our best QB is downright scary. I'm more than willing to bet that whoever we draft is our starter by week 6

My hunch was the plan was to build a good team then insert the QB and go. When Fitz was signed to that contract he was playing pretty damn well. My hindsight abilities are stronger than most, clearly this didnt work out. I have a hard time throwing this man to the curb for missing that. Lots of smart coaches and GMs look pretty dumb when they don't have Brady, Favre, Hasselbeck, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, John Elway or Payton Manning.

Buddy isn't the first guy to miss on a HC and QB. Its a far common tale than success is. Belicheat was pretty bad coach until he found Brady. I think he is a good personal man overall. With a better QB I think we have a playoff caliber roster (except at LB and WR)

Holy **** people its been less than 4 hours since FA started. Fitz is gone, everyone wanted that. There are plenty of good players left that can help the team. We have 20 million in cap space sure, 3 mil is now dead money, at least 6 goes to byrd and 5 goes to rookies. all of a sudden we have 6 million. Thats not alot of cash guys. We are going to need to hit on draft picks and have some damn good coaching

Anyone know tha cap hit if we pay Fitz the 3 mil tomorrow then trade him? 4 Million is an expensive backup but some team might really value it. AZ, SF come to mind. If Seattle lets go of Flynn I could see them interested as well
