  1. The plaintiffs’ lawyer released some of Watson’s texts to two of the women today. If that’s all he’s got, it’s pretty underwhelming. I’m starting to smell a rat.
  2. Why did Denver cut him?
  3. I think what he meant is that Trubisky is better than the starters for the other three teams, which is correct, as of this moment.
  4. That's very true, but at some point, the cost of having Gruden run your franchise into the ground outweighs the cost of paying someone to replace him. Only Mark Davis knows what that point is...
  5. Although they aren’t yet at the bottom of the heap, this is a franchise that just seems to have no idea WTF it’s doing.
  6. Yeah, that’s a problem.
  7. Insane contract. This is Gruden’s last year there.
  8. No. He said he rejected a six-figure demand before the suit was filed. Makes complete sense.
  9. I’d be less willing to dismiss it if there were at least some sort of finding that he did something wrong, but that’s just me.
  10. You mean the incident that he was never even charged for?
  11. In the past YOU have extolled the benefit of having a big, fast bruising back like Carson, who can punish teams that put 5 or 6 DBs on the field to stop the pass. Have you changed your mind about that? And of course, no players other than QBs really move the betting line. That’s a bad argument.
  12. Carson is not “always injured”. He played 12 games this year (4.8 ypc) and 29 games the previous two seasons combined. You must have been thinking of Zach Moss.
  13. Carson is exactly what we’ve lacked at RB the last two years. Would be a great signing.
  14. I heard he was “the safest pick in the draft”.😀
  15. Because neither Wilson nor Watson has breached his contract. Next question...
  16. Hard count specialist??
  17. Just read that Chris Carson is going to be a FA. Not a fan of paying big $ to RBs, but he is exactly the kind of back we’ve needed the past couple years.
  18. From one Oregonian to another, pass the pipe.😎. Brees is done, but it is strange that he has not announced anything. I hope he retires; he’s got nothing left. It’s amazing how long he’s been in the league and how long he sustained such a high level of play.
  19. Obviously, the Phins scouted Wilson last year and liked some things about him. The Titans have generally drafted very well and they liked him as a late first rounder, so he has to have some talent...
  20. I don’t think Fields is a top 15 pick. Maybe not even first round, depending on how things shake out.
  21. As documented upthread, Simms has a very good track record when it comes to analyzing college QBs for the draft; I don't know that anyone has said he's a genius, though. And if you listen to the podcast, he actually says his goal is to become a GM someday, and therefore he doesn't make these evaluations for clickbait purposes.
  22. I listened to the entire podcast this morning. Simms says he’s got Wilson ranked ahead of where he had Burrow and Herbert last year, and he’s got Lawrence ranked behind both of them. He also says no way in hell Jacksonville takes anyone other than Trevor Lawrence. It will be very interesting to see what the Jets do.
  23. True, Wilson's not going to Jacksonville unless he and Urban have some sort of relationship. And I forgot about the interdivisional aspect of the trade. You might also be right about Meyer wanting to coach Lawrence, but I'd take Watson over Lawrence 10 times out of 10.
  24. Why would you say that? I mean, it's probably not going to happen, but it's an interesting idea and it seems no less likely than Watson going to Miami or the Jets. If I'm Houston, I want something more than the first overall pick, but I can definitely see how this is an intriguing idea for both sides. That's a good point. I forgot they are in the same division. I think the same conference stuff is overrated, but same division is a whole different ball game.
