  1. You don’t think SF traded up for a QB?
  2. I know. They're f-ing stacked. I don't think Tua necessarily gets two more years to prove himself. If he doesn't show better this year, they could move on sooner than that.
  3. I get it--they're still probably going to get their guy at 6, but in 2018 the Colts got three second round picks from the Jets to drop back from 3 to 6. And the third they got this year is a comp pick, more like a fourth rounder, really.
  4. I suspect so, either in the first or second round. But they don't have the ammunition to move up very far.
  5. My issue is that a first round pick two years from now (especially from a team like SF) is not worth very much. It's not like getting an extra first this year.
  6. How did they "clean up"? They got a third round pick next year and a first round pick in 2023, which is worth less than a second round pick this year, to move from 3 to 6. The Jets traded three second round picks, including two in that year's draft, to move from 6 to 3 in 2018.
  7. Miami is doing a very good job of rebuilding, but if they're wrong about Tua, it could all be for naught. Thank God they weren't smart enough to draft Herbert last year.
  8. I'd be OK with Harris or Etienne at 30. I would NOT be ok with a trade up for them.
  9. Nope. The Jets would have traded that pick to SF if they weren't going to take a QB. I'm sure SF inquired.
  10. I don't think that's very good value. A first in 2023 is worth about a third round pick this April, and the Niners are likely to be picking late for the forseeable future.
  11. Wow! So they got a third and a 2023 first to move back from 3 to 6. I don't think that's very good value for Phins.
  12. Unlikely it's for a receiver. They already have Kittle, Samuel and Aiuk. They're set there. Gotta be for a QB and they must love Fields, Jones or Lance, because that's what's going to be available there.
  13. I would imagine SF tried to get the second pick from the Jets, but the Jets weren't trading it or the price was too high. I'm guessing they already have their hearts set on Wilson.
  14. Has he ever traded down? Ever? No way he trades down this year. I expect at least two trades up.
  15. Good list. And if the Dolphins add JaMarr Chase, lookout. Fortunately, they don't have a QB.
  16. Then you would have passed on the three best QBs in the league...
  17. So your negative evaluation of Wilson is based on BYU's strength of schedule and the fact that he wasn't awesome his first two seasons, including as a true Freshman. Did you see any of BYU's games? Was BYU physically superior to nearly everyone they played, like Clemson and Alabama were? I doubt it. Which QBs have you liked coming out of college the past three years? Any of them?
  18. Assuming Wilson was playing behind Alabama's offensive line, throwing the ball to Waddle and Smith and handing the ball off to Harris, he would have been terrific. I think Mac Jones is really good too, by the way.
  19. If I'm not mistaken, Wilson is at three-year starter at BYU and played well all three years, including as a true freshman. And I don't think the level of competition is much of a concern because (1) he wasn't exactly surrounded by a bunch or 4 and 5-star guys himself, and (2) BYU at least played a decent Division 1 schedule and they weren't just destroying teams with their superior personnel, like Clemson, Alabama and to some extent, Ohio State. Mahomes and Josh Allen certainly didn't play against awesome competition, either. And while Trevor Lawrence played at a high level for three years, I'd be a little concerned about the evaluation because Clemson was just so far superior to most of the teams they've played the past three years, although I definitely think he will be a good NFL QB. I agree with you about Fields; I would not take him in the first round.
