  1. Plus the first 20 rows or so have the overhang from the upperdeck. Plus 90% of the time the wind is out of the Southwest and not blowing in our face with rain or snow. One more TV note there are even TV's hanging from the upper deck visable to those sitting in the first 13 rows. Before the Bills gave us Fanvision they gave us a good way to see replays or goal line play at the scoreboard end of the stadium.
  2. Club seats are another option. Cheaper than the M&T Club. I have had Club seats in the Paul McGuire Club sice they were built. Love em !! Still enjoy the crowd and get into it with the rest of the fans but can go inside the club. Never miss the action; TV's all over the club and even in the bathrooms..which are clean. No trouble with drunks spilling beer on you or any other problems. Full bar with any booze or wine you might want. Very good selection of food (I usually get my fix of beef on Kimmelwick). Plenty of tables to sit and eat your food at. Another note on the TV's: there is about 9 TV's on both side walls of the club that show every other game on. In the past the World Series, NASCAR and other major events (9/11 coverage for example) have been on. The Clubs remain open for quite a while after the game. If the weather is bad we'll just hang out for a while and watch another game while most of the traffic clears out. The Bills Boosters have many of their meetings in either the Paul McGuire or Van Miller Clubs: http://www.buffalobillsboosterclub.com/ No membership needed just to attend one meeting though membership is just $15, see the Clubs and enjoy good fellowship with other Bills fans.
  3. As always for years and years and years
  4. Well Simon, that would be a long overdue first step. I wonder if some of these in-your-face posters treat people as crudely and rudely to a persons face or are the just brave on the Internet.
  5. Ha-Ha no. In fact never recieved a reply to any letters I mailed but did receive a few "canned"replys to e-mails I sent. Guess they didn't want my money. I would be very surprised if anyone here also wrote to sponsors of WGR expressing their disgust with the nonsense that's passed off as sports talk radio.
  6. Well color me HAPPY then. I took em off my car radio a long time ago. Have Sirius so can catch the Sabres there if I want. Chris Parker (Bulldog) used to be intelligent and a good listen when he first started on WBEN, when that station still did sports. He got dumbed down just like Howard Simon. What a waste, especially Simon. When "Monday Morning Quarterback" with Larry Felser ended on WBEN that was the beginning of the end to any intelligent Bills related "talk radio". About a year or so ago I made a list of both shows (Simon, and Parker & Schopp) sponsors' when I just couldn't stand to listen to any more of their crap. I took the time to e-mail or write each sponsor expressing my displeasure with the childish way sports programming on WGR had become and that I would no longer buy their product(s), patronize their business or would not subscribe to their service as long as they sponsored a poor excuse for sports programming on WGR radio. I must have been the only one?? as I can see by different TBD'ers that the insanity continues. Things will only change at WGR when enough people contact the sponsors and express their displeasure and disgust with the quality of sports talk radio on WGR. Don't just complain - WRITE...only money or the lack of will get these idiots to either change or get fired. I won't take their crap and insults.
  7. Fairly good crowd in the Paul McGuire club where IM at. Didn't really check out the Van Miller Club on the other side of the Press Box but the Jim Kelly club was almost empty and upper deck on that side was maybe half full. Many empty seats. You are right though, we were loud
  8. The offices of the now defunct Empire Sports Network on Indian Church Road in West Seneca, NY are like a ghost town. I wish there was something comparable but I fear we may never see the likes of the Empire Sports Network ever again.
  9. Has to be the tightest security in the NFL. Dude even wanted to see under my Bills cap. Pointed to the cookies in my binoc (no case) carry bag and asked "what are those?" Ummmm.....those are cookies you dufus, Christmas cookies...see all the green & red stuff on the top of them. Followed by a full pat-down...WTF and IM an old f..., grey haired white guy. Maybe they had to balance out their harassment numbers....remember no terrorist profiling. Oh wait lets harass old white guys wearing a Bills sweatshirt & jacket. Thankfully we arrived early so there were maybe 50 people in line behind us. What's next full body scanners? If a terrorist wanted to cause harm they could do it without going through Mr. rent-a-cop. Is security as tight in other NFL stadiums? Oh and the entrance we have to go through is for Club & Suite members only.
  10. Missed that game but had a chance to see earlier games that year at the old Rockile before shipping out for a shakedown cruise on a DE out of Boston. Damm corks in the North Atlantic. It would be another four years before I next had a chance to see the Bills play a game.
  11. 34 of the Sporting News top 100 draft prospects, including the top 20 are underclassmen. You would pass on each and everyone who is not a senior because he is not smart enough to foresee the future if there will be a lockout or not by January 15th, 2011, the last day he can declare for the annual NFL Football Draft?
  12. Congratulations!!! Happy to hear Mom & Caitlin Leigh are doing OK BTW your daughter has a pretty name
  13. Hope you had a Happy Birthday Meade and hope you have many, many more. You're one of the good guys !!
  14. John wasn't alone, there were plenty of us here that thought releasing Edwards was the right move by the front office. Nix inherited a talent deprived roster and have confidence that he can right the Bills ship. At least we have a FO that knows football talent now calling the shots.
  15. Maybin won't be on the 2011 opening day roster. Edwards probably gets a pass this year even though I still think he is in over his head as DC.
  16. Let me make one thing perfectly clear....WE are going to pass, pass, pass No running back is to even get a sniff of the football. Do You understand?
  17. Russ Brandon told us at a Bills Booster meeting that Peter's agent wouldn't return their phone calls. They were willing to talk but when it became apparent that Peters didn't want to be here, they started exploring trade options.
  18. Yep that milky crap sucks but it cleans ya out bigtime
  19. Yep, I just went back and re-read it for the first time since the '09 draft and thought the same thing. Sad that Ralph Wilson trusted Marv Levy to hire Jauron as his head coach. "The Ivy League Connection" for all their supposed smarts royally screwed this football team.
  20. Your welcome. They were spreading out the questions with all the Backers and just ran out of time before it was Jonathan Stupar's turn to speak. Nice kid BTW with good sense of humor. Maybe Jauron read tea leaves or Kiper..take your pick; but he sure didn't look at the Ourlad's guide. They had Maybin as a third round projection. 11th best DE. Here is a bit on what they said about Maybin: "Struggles to get off blocks. Lacks functional strength to separate and disengage the blocker. Can be manhandled and pushed up the field. Undisciplined in his play. NOT AN INSTINCTIVE PLAYER. May be a situation pass rusher only. Proj: third round" And in Ourlad's Review after the draft: "Aaron Maybin was a surprise selection at the eleventh pick for a variety of reasons. One, Chris Kelsey is undersized like Maybin and has an injury history that keeps him off the field. Secondly he lacks the strength to play the run and the ability to separate from hugh linemen." I highly recommend "Ourlad's Guide" www.ourlads.com for anyone interested in the annual NFL Football Draft
  21. The chance of Maybin being with the Bills next year are slim to none per Chris Brown (his opinion) at the Bills Booster meeting tonight. I also asked Chris Brown to confirm what I had heard from someone else in the organization that both the Maybin and Whitner picks were made by Jauron. His response was that Marv Levy was not your typical GM and that there was a void at the top in personnell decisions. Dick Jauron took control and filled this void, so yes he made the Whitner and Maybin picks. I have no way of knowing this and didn't have a chance to ask Chris Brown a follow-up question; who stacked the draft boards...Jauron and Levy, with or without help from Tom Modrack or other scouts or Jauron and Russ Brandon..help from Modrack or other scouts? I do know that Tom Modrack was not in the Bills draft warroom when the Maybin pick was made. Jauron didn't want Tom Modrack around. Some day when I have a chance to talk with Tom Modrack, IM going to ask him if Jauron drafted any players that he had recommended. Buddy Nix as long as I've known him has been a striaght shooter who doesnt lie or beat around the bush. The Bills have hired two more scouts and at least 2-3 more are needed. The purge of scouts that Tom Donahoe started has really hurt this team
  22. I agree but that's what happens when your team has a marketing guy as the defacto GM and a pi$$ poor coach calling the shots on draft day. The only reason the Bills haven't been ripped to shreads in the media for Wilson's cheapness in front office hires is his age and the fact that he is in the HOF
  23. It was Jauron. You think the Bills are going to issue a press release telling you this ? The Bills "version" of drafting, was that it was done by committee but Jauron is the one who had the most say in who was drafted especially the first round as long as it got the beancounter Littmann's OK Beat me to it
  24. In the beginning there was Tom Donahoe and then it got worse. Bring in a Levy & Jauron & Russ Brandon with a sprinking of Jeff Littmann to count beans and call it drafting by committee so no blame can be directed at Jauron who had a bigger say in the draft then the local media or Bills for that matter will ever reveal. Ignore recommendations of your scouting department and in particular the director of college scouting, keeping him out of the warroom that he considers retiring until Ralph Wilson talks him into staying. The local media that know what went down will never tell you the truth.
  25. Did you catch the vid wouldn't link for me. Self-esteem did they say Self-esteem. Well girls drop about 50 pounds and that gid-up should fit just fine. Don't force the other cheerleaders to wear potatoe sacks just because your body type is closer to that of a Sherman tank
