  1. While stuff like this tend to go over the heads of young kids I still don't want my grand-kids subjected to over-the-top adds about sex, like the "Veggie Love" commercial by PETA. The add about cheating on your spouse is personally offensive as is the add that Jesus hates Obama. Are these idiots so isolated, have a so in your face attitude to even attempt to jam nonsense like this down our throats. That commercial was no joke and was a deliberate attempt to once again smear President Obama saying Jesus HATES OBAMA !!!! WTF what kind of right wing nut cases are thinking up this s**t. They sure are not Christian and it is very offensive to me that they say Jesus hates anyone. Jesus does NOT hate
  2. True but these animals are more organized and have a broader network in place to do a greater number of people harm than anytime in history. They will keep trying and the result is that we will continue to be less free as a people. We are up against religious fanatics who think their reward if they die while trying to kill us is a thousand virgins. And while exact numbers are not important, how many fanatic Hitler like Muslim leaders (religious or otherwise) who can prey on young impressionable minds preach hatred and Jihad against the west everyday? Bottom line is that many hate us and wish us dead.
  3. Yep You are correct my bad. Even so the mindset of Honor killings seems to me, to be almost exclusive to men of middle eastern decent whose religious roots are Muslim. Not saying it never happened but don't remember ever reading about a father not of middle eastern decent killing his daughter because she wore sexy clothes, makeup or somehow dishonored him. Violent people who think nothing of murdering wives and daughters. If this is how they treat wives and daughters, violently torturing and murdering them, is there any doubt in anyone's mind that these religious fanatics will continue to try to kill us. Aasiya Hassan is the 13th pic down: http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2009/03/honor-killing-islams-gruesome-gallery.html
  4. So true; over the years they go, relatives friends and people we know and care about. So many that's impossible to think of them all but when I do I say a prayer for them to be with God. And so in your time of sadness, I pray that your friend is in Gods Kingdom.
  5. 20 years to life most likely sentence when all is said & done. Let him rot, no meeting 1000 virgins anytime soon. Just as with "Honor killings" these Arab bastids who think in their own world that there is justification for killing a spouse or daughter offer an insight into the dangerous mindset of many Arab men IMHO. On second thought they should just cut off his balls and let him bleed to death while showering him with pigs blood. 6. Freezing rain kept out snowfall down. Maybe 8 inches of snow w/2 inches of ice sandwiched in. Prediction here was for 18" of snow. Neighbors on both sides snowblowed my walks (lucky me...yea!! )and plow guy takes care of my long driveway. Streets are already down to the pavement and life goes on. Thaw tomorrow, then next big snowfall for the weekend. Same old, same old. Two more months to go!!
  7. And to think it all started here: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/25951-oh-this-is-nicereal-nice/ Full circle pickle juice-> retatta -> pickle juice
  8. Another tweener. This from the Sporting News could have been the same write-up for Maybin except this guy might be able to contribute on special teams while he tries to learn the OLB position Something Maybin couldn't even do. http://warroom.sportingnews.com/nfl/draft/2011/players/9877.html Bottom line: Moch is a player that was difficult to get a good feel for when evaluating because his production does not match his athleticism, but he flashes the ability to do whatever he needs to at times. Overall, Moch is a good, but not elite prospect because he just does not make as many plays as a player with his physical talent should make; especially playing at Nevada. In a few seasons I believe he will become a good starting outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme, but will need to become more consistent reading and reacting to the play and playing off the ball in coverage. I do believe that with his muscular build, speed, elite speed, explosive closing ability and good competitiveness that he will be a good special teams player; especially on coverage units, which will give him time to develop as a linebacker.
  9. FWIW many of them do. In the early days of TSW some even posted here but were chased away by a-holes with no common sense or respect for these players as people.
  10. We would bring our cases of beer in on a wagon thru the Dodge Street tunnel entrance and that's where we would park "our beer wagon". Our seats were 3 rows up from the field, sideline in the endzone. If the play was near the endzone we were held up getting a fresh brew until the play was over as the only way to get to our beer wagon was thru the field of play. Good times the crazieness of youth. 1969 was the last home game for me at the Rockpile. The following season the US Navy had me for 6 and did I miss seeing my beloved Bills play for all those years.
  11. I like this idea. Really dislike the blowhard Ryan but the trash talking by either team while childish doesnt really bother me. I will watch but will not root for either team but will not be unhappy if the cheaters lose. As Johnny Coli noted the misery index will be much higher for the snobbish and obnoxious patty fans and that would give me great satifaction. Of all my duty stations in the US Navy none was worse than Boston and I was in some pretty sh**** places in the 70's
  12. Don't worry Nix won't pull a Juron on us... Brandon has been vanquished to the inner chambers of RWS and sadly Ralph Wilsons failing health will preclude him from ever again taking an active role in the running the Bills.
  13. Thanks Beerball, can never have enough info. Though I watch a ton of college FB its just impossible to see most of these guys play so reading and comparing what the different guides and web based draft sites say about a certain player is very usefull.
  14. Last week it was Fairley at 3 next week who knows but it will keep changing. I like the player write-ups. Their mock draft like all is a very fluid guess and is out there to get people talking. billsfaningeneseo I have no idea where you saw TSN warroom having the Bills picking 4th. Its been a consistent 3 since the end of the season, every time I check, which is daily. 9
  15. I might add, much disinformation and rumors are leaked to either push a players stock up or down. Plus schools really hype their draftable players hoping to push their draft stock up. The schools then can use this as a recruiting tool. I also take these different "pro-days" at different schools with a grain of salt besides getting the true measureables. I don't care what a players 40 time without pads is; can he play the game. All too often the Bills have been suckered in by this BS and drafted player who looked like tarzen and ending up playing like jane. Just pass on a QB early. I can see the Bills not drafting a QB at all. I wrote up a separate opinion on Gabbert but IMHO he shouldn't be drafted before the 4th or 5th round. Our guesses here are often way off base on TSW. Look at last years projection on who the Bills would select by posters here: 31% said Bulaga would be the pick a 9 and 30% said it would be Clausen. Spiller I believe received no votes.
  16. Just wanted to let my fellow draft-niks know that The Sporting News Draft Warroom is now a free service. A paid subscription is no longer needed to access player write-ups or mock draft that is update weekly. Here: http://www.sportingnews.com/
  17. Seems short passes are a problem with Gabbert also. Locking on to one receiver is a bigger concern to me than his footwork or not taking any snaps under center. Good write-up here: http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Why-all-the-Blaine-Gabbert-hype.html
  18. You are correct. This happened on the Bills second last possesion. The last Bills possesion was kneel downs and Cookie Gilchrist was not sent back out.
  19. From the article: "Former Bills cornerback Booker Edgerson claimed Gilchrist was "just as good or maybe even better" than Hall of Famer Jim Brown" I saw both play, quite a bit in fact. Cookie Gilchrist at War Memorial Stadium and when the Bills played away, the Bills and Browns on TV. In fact for those not around yet the Browns were the team seen on TV week after week in the WNY TV viewing area for years starting about 1955 or 56. Both Gilchirst and Brown were punishing runners down after down. In the December 8th, 1963 game against the NY Jets at War Memorial Stadium (which the Bills won 45-14) Cookie ran for a punishing 243 yards and scored 5 touchdowns. To this day still one of the greatest rushing feats by any Bills player in the 47 or 48 years I have been fortunate to see the Bills play. Even though the historic Civil Right legistration had been passed a year earlier; bigotry, discrimination and worse were still prevelent throughout our land. But worse, much worse in the South were the KKK controled many local and state governments. New Orleans and in the larger sense, the state of Louisiana were among the most corrupt in our nation. I remember seeing signs in many sourthern states like "whites only" in many places; water fountains, bathrooms and picnic areas to name but a few. Few if any whites were ever convicted in the south of 1965 for mudering blacks. Sometimes the KKK would kill whole families by burning their houses down while they slept and if they ran out, they were shot by the KKK. It was against this backdrop that Cookie Gilchrist started a boycott against playing the 1965 AFL Allstar game in NO. The article says "a bar" but in fact any black person was not even allowed to enter the many "whites only" bars not only in New Orleans but throughout the deep south. A very dark time in our nations history for sure. I hope it is true that Ralph Wilson saw Cookie and just wish that both he and Lou Saban were put on the Bills wall of fame before they passed on. Sad and ironic that the two men who were among the best at what they did for the Buffalo Bills (even though the two often feuded) are not in any way acknowledged for bringing the only football championships for the Bills team and Bills fans everywhere. RIP Cookie
  20. Cookie may you be flying with the angels Here is some pics from the '64 team. For some reason the pics from the '65 team will not load. Those were the teams of my childhood and sweet years they were. Here: http://www.angelfire.com/nv/Billshistory/PHOTOS64.html
  21. All stifts Well You know as well as I that good teams rarely let good O-linemen hit FA
