Any coach in the NFL knows this and I don’t think the Chiefs purposely decided to lay back and get comfortable with their lead. What happened was there was a correction towards the mean in terms of play. The Chiefs aren’t perfect. The Bills aren’t either.

This thread is entertaining. Multiple Bills coaches believe that the team is better with Morse sitting. It doesn’t matter what some our preconceived notions are, how much the team is paying him, or how much we think we know about NFL OL play. The people who actually matter and likely know a lot more than we do have made a decision. Is there any reason why we should assume they are wrong?

I could see a veteran doing this to land on a contender (as I wouldn’t want to sign with SF or the Bengals either), but I believe his salary is guaranteed to paid by ATL this year anyways. I see no problem if they chose to bench him. No starter should feel comfortable enough to underperform. If a coach thinks they are cutting it, then they take some time off to think about it. That said, I still wonder if this is tied to Spain’s cryptic tweet.

I’d send a 2nd rounder plus Trent Murphy for a good 1 tech DT. If a FA next year, we can cross that bridge when we get to it. I don’t have much faith in the 2021 draft.

This is the problem with our division. There have been constant tire fires, but not a single one will trade with us due to us being in the division.

With the expanded PSs this year, I’m finding it difficult to understand why Beane can’t find some big, fat space eater stashed somewhere In the league. I may be wrong, but it sounds skill takes a back seat to size here. Plus, the guy would be youngish and hold more promise. Maybe Beane isn’t looking? I do think we need an upgrade in the LB coaching ranks. Something isn’t quite right there. Edmunds shouldn’t be making the same mistakes week in and week out.
