  1. Yeah I did not read it that way.
  2. Bengals. Colts, Steelers, Titans, Cardinals, Seahawks, Chargers, Rams, Jaguars are all rated bottom half of the league for total defense. Bengals. Colts, Steelers, Titans, Cardinals, Seahawks, Chargers, Rams, Jaguars, Lions are bottom half for passing D with most of those teams ranked bottom 10 Season hindsight suggests the Ravens might have had an easy schedule
  3. https://www.foxsports.com/nfl-super-bowl-starting-qbs Aaron Rogers / GB won the NFC and the SB in Rogers 6th year in the league 2010 Drew Brees / NO Saints won the NFC and the SB in Brees 9th year. 2009 Neither QB has made a 2nd SB appearance. So the real answer if 15 years here Brady won the SB in his 2nd season but his 1st season starting. Also note Brady has 10 SB appearances
  4. No, elite QB are not necessary but there are not many teams who have won a SB without QBs who have had HoF careers WIlson and Flacco have a chance but I don't think they will make it. I may have missed a QB or 2 deserving of the list below. Super Bowl 15. Jim Plunkett (MVP), 3 TDs and Super Bowl 18. Jim Plunkett (Marcus Allen), 1 TD Super Bowl 17. Joe Theismann (John Riggins), 2 TDs Super Bowl 20. Jim McMahon (Richard Dent), 0 TDs Super Bowl 21. Phil Simms (MVP), 3 TDs Super Bowl 22. Doug Williams (MVP), 4 TDs Super Bowl 25. Jeff Hostetler (Ottis Anderson), 1 TD Super Bowl 26. Mark Rypien (MVP), 2 TDs Super Bowl 35. Trent Dilfer (Ray Lewis), 1 TD Super Bowl 37. Brad Johnson (Dexter Jackson), 2 TDs Super Bowl 47: Joe Flacco (MVP), 3TDs Super Bowl 48: Russell Wilson (Malcolm Smith), 2TDs Super Bowl 52: Nick Foles (MVP), 3 TDs
  5. you are either good enough or you are not.
  6. if the Bills can't beat Miami then I honestly don't care about the playoffs. The only acceptable outcome for me is to go down to Miami and beat the snot out of the water mammals.
  7. just for the record, since you quoted me. I too do not expect Von to retire, as I feel the injury takes time to get right and he was rushed back too soon. My answer of "yes" was that... Yes I do beleive he was the only one who thinks Von will retire
  8. maybe we should try the illusive Triple
  9. You got to go for the 2nd seed and homefield games. Anything else is a losers mentality IMO.... Anything can happen so you have to put your best team on the field.
  10. She was a prominent female figure in the NFL ownership and she was very involved with the league. I wish her full recovery, but with so much time gone pass and not even a word from her since, really makes me sad that she will never be what she was. Would she make an appearance for a playoff run... how about the promise land would she show up for the SB if we are able to make it?
  11. Almost seems like, in hindsight, the NFL planned this.
  12. The team is ending the season strong and that's notable... lets see if this guy can gets us to the promise land with a team that is playing well enough in December to be in the argument for a SB win McDermott still worries me, too many WTF moments in hindsight, but were trending in the right direction heading towards the playoffs
  13. I'm all in on making a play for top drafted wr to take the #2 roll and eventially move to #1 WR Shakir is developing into a solid utility type of WR. I see him getting plenty of playing time moving forward, and forsee him filling in a niche roll similiar to Beasley did for us. However we need a solid #2 who is capable of developing into our #1 WR, and I don't feel Shakir would excel in those spots.
  14. NE has a solid DL, and they are a tough defensive team. If they had a QB they would be making much more noise this year
  15. Josh is the man..... Yes he has occasional bouts of innaccurcy, but the guy has a greater than 60% career completion %.
  16. I do like the way the team has played since Brady took over at OC... The D as well... But it's gonna take one heluva a run for me to start trusting McD in big games
  17. I'm still nervous with McDermott being our HC... I agree with the perception that the last 2 weeks have been real good, but I would be lying if I did not mention how nervous I am with him being our HC. We will see how the rest of this season goes but IMO there is too much WTF? in McD's Bills HC history. Way too many 4th quarter crash and burns for me this year to to put the rose colored galsses back on. Then the dubious late calls ( 13 seconds etc....) can not just be wiped away (accept with a SB vicorty). Especially since this is Josh's prime and I think we wasted 2 to 3 years of it because of him. Hopefully thats all behind but his consistency has not been consistent unless you consider unconsistent, consistent
  18. I remember both of those plays... So much hope when both of those plays happened. Things were going to change was the feeling. That was short lived!!!
  19. flops help bring the flags Flop away Allen, flop away! I also love that we do line up and try to get the other team to jump on fake 4th down attemtps when we have no intention of actually running a play. It works a fraction of the time and that's all that matters.
  20. I like the Buffalo Snowplow myself if we are going to name our assisted run play
  21. we need to win out. More than likely a couple of teams in the hunt will lose. By winning out we should make the playoffs That being said we shouldn't even be in this predicament...
  22. Bills are peaking right now... we've lost our alotted amount of trap games this year, there shall be no more
  23. probably the best all around RB performance since Thurman Thomas last night.... The whole game I marveled at James' coming out party.... he has had some solid outings this year but the game against the Cowboys should earn him Offensive player of the week nomination
  24. Its a lot easier to appreciate this team after they fired Dorsey. The offense has become Mr Hyde with Bradey calling the shots. I love what I'm seeing from the offense. James Cook looked like Thurman Thomas in his prime, and they even made a comment about that most yards from Scrimmage for a RB since 1991 and Thurman Thomas last night. Thats what Josh need to take pressure off of him. Hopefully this is just the beginning I not sure what is changing on the D side of the ball. I noticed Von Miller starting to make some noise on the DL and his return to form is much appreciated, but not unexpected. Acquiring Rapp is starting to look like a real solid move, Douglas was a great trade... Overall for such a 2/3 of a ***** season they definitely have made some significant changes that appear to be making a difference and if you're gonna peak nows the time to start ramping that up. Still have to win out ! but after yesterdays game I feel for 1st time since early September that this team is playing the kind of football most of expected to see all season.
