Needs aside, the player you want most

Micheal Oher is the pick for me... unless Curry falls but he won;t. This game is won and lost in the trenches and our OL is in dire straights -
Jests complain about schedule for religious reasons
ddaryl replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
oh fricking well.. NFl has played on Christmas day .... religion has no business determining schedules. If you can't make it because of your beleifs that is an issue for you to deal with not the NFL -
I'm predicting Peters will be signed before draft
ddaryl replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NO.. He had just signed an extension a year earlier. No team in the enitre world would have offered up another contract after just handing thesmae player a raise / extension. -
I'd say he majored in that department but that was pretty funny none the less
-
it easy to stop that. Have a craptacular OL.

Unsubstantiated second-hand Peters news
ddaryl replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well wasn't it Peters who gave up 11 + sacks last year ??? how about that fumble JP made in the Jets game.. That was peters man who blew by him and stripped that football. If Peters holds that block for just a second that fumble never happens. Peters showed what he was really worth in 2008 when he held the team hostage and held out, and then came back only to look like crap for much of the season. You don't reward and overpay a player who does all of that.... -

Donte is not making 5 mil a year. His salary last year was $2,734,500. http://content.usatoday.com/sports/footbal...amp;player=4325 http://www.sportscity.com/NFL/Buffalo-Bills-Salaries http://www.billszone.com/mtlog/archives/20...ry_cap_page.php Donte's cap hit for 2009 is 4.9 million but that includes bonuses alredyd paid for being drafted $8 overall.
-
You're kidding.. .1/2 the league has 10+ million left in FA dollars, and Philly has over 20 million left under the cap
-
no we don't you cannot ignore the real needs of this team and in the following order of importance OL DE OLB TE a RB or a QB is not going to make this team a playoff contender in 2009 or beyond when there is a massive need in other areas

The worst mock draft that I've seen yet
ddaryl replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Crabtree is not an option at all when we have desperate needs on the OL that cannot be ignored. We have a huge hole at OLB, and our pass rush is non existent. if anything its a reason to trade down -
The Bills OL From Left To Right
ddaryl replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no choice Our OL is in a bigger dire situation then pass rush. We need to put up points and we won;'t be doing it with a crap fest OL which is what we have at this momnet. AND since the FO wasn't bright enough to bring in respecatable UFA's for the job we have to re-proritize our draft and it will be OL heavy IMO -
The Bills have an odd way of doing biz
ddaryl replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peters has a contract offer on the table that is approx 8.5 million per season. that would give Peters a salary of the top 5 OL in the NFL... Peters is the one with the issue/. The Bills did business and peters demands more... there is nothing the Bills can do about it but parlay Peters into multipel draft picks. The Bills are not going to reward a player with a highest paid player at a position after that player holds out. -
De-motivating drug my ass... I know many people who smoke and have no problem getting anything and everything done. demotivation is another problem, its not caused by weed, it is caused by people who aren't motivated. It just happens that some of these unmotivated people happen to smoke weed, but I know without a doubt I can finsd more unmotivated people who never even touch the stuff... typical uninformed opinionated numb nut. You probably believe the BS that its a gateway drug too...

Your plan to get Cutler and fill holes?
ddaryl replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
worst idea ever, and that has to trump some pretty horrible ideas. Stick with trent screw Cutler -
I say keep peters and let him do whatever he wants to. Draft the best T at #11 and pencil him in at LG. (Both Oher and Smith can play G) Hope that Peters comes to his senses and takes the bird in the hand instead of trying for the 2 in the bush. Now if Peters comes to his senses... we have a very good to excellent OL. If Peters holds out we have personell to better deal with it, and Peters can go rot and the Bills can look to trade him for picks in 2010, or a player we need now.
-
The Bills need to draft the best T on board at #11 (Smith or Oher) . Then the Bills will have all the leverage they will need. Peters can hold out, or he can sign the deal already offered by the Bills at 8.5 mil per season or he can play this year on his existing deal. If peters holds out we have enough personel on the roster to deal wit hit. If Peters signs his contract or decides to play on his old deal we have our LT and we would have a LG because both Smith or Oher can play G. Having a possible OL of Peters - (Smith or Oher) - Hargartner - Butler - Walker would represent an upgrade over last year.

Peters to Eagles Potential Trade Discussion
ddaryl replied to BillsNYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the Bills have an 8.5 - 9 million offer on the table for Peters that would pay him about the average of the top 5 LT's in the NFL. How is that not trying to pay him If peters thinks he deserves to be the highes tpaid LT in the gamne then Peters is high and should be druggg tested. He has multpiple years left on an exisitng contract, and he did not play lanywheres close to the best LT in the game last seaosn, and he cost this team by stagin a hold out to boot. All of those situation dictates that Peters has 0 chance of getting the highest paid LT in the game contract, and right fully so -
If you were building a team, what defensive position
ddaryl replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
DL in general OL on offense It all begins in the trenchs, and if I'm GM I am focusing a higher percnetage of my efforts and making sure I have the best DL and OL I can field -
If peters doens't accept the Bills offer of 8.5 - 9 mil per season then screw him
-
They are talking about possibly trading for Jason Peters
ddaryl replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say screw Peters. Draft a replacement in the and tell Peters to accept the deal on the table or play out the remainder of his contract. If we take Oher at #11 we have a T who can easily play LG for us this year. If Peters holds out we have personel to soften the blow. If he signs or decides to play on his exisitng deal we have a solid OL. Under no circumstance woudl I even consider making Peters the highest paid LT in the game. 1.) because he is not worth it 2.) because he held the team hostage last year 3.) He sign an extension odf his own will and still has 2 years left on that deal. Evans could have held out, but he didn't and the team rewarded him for that. Peters on the other hand already received a raise and a contract extension and then a year later cost this team with a hold out. There is no argument out there for caving into Peters demands. NONE. If the Bills are stupid enough to leave the leverage in peters hands and not have a replacement option ready to go after the draft.. OR if the Bills are stupid enough to trade him just to not have to deal with him anymore, well then the franchise would just re-prove how incredibly inept they are. -
State of union address for the bills...
ddaryl replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trent overall did fine for his 1st full year of starting... He had growing pains, but he did manage games well and our time of possession was up considerably when Trent is QB'ing. Whihc in return kept our D reseted and helped us win a few games. Add in the fact that we lacked Weapons at WR and had Royal as our TE, then add in Peters hold out and his inconsistent play, and the fact that our running game was anemic for much of the season, and Reeds injury and you can understand why we fizzled down the stretch Of course trent needs to improve, but if this is a debate about getting a new QB this year well that's retarded. We are committed to yet another QB and we either let him develope or we stay on the QB carousel and never get over the hump. -
Bills contact LT Peters to discuss new deal
ddaryl replied to BillsWatch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
force him to play on his existing deal and draft Oher @ #11 if he holds out we have perosnel to absorb the blow. If he decides to play we have a very rock solid OL and are better able to deal with Peters in 2010. Bottom line is the Bills are not going to offer more then the 8.5 - 9 million already on the table. If Peters is dumb enough to hold out again, and /or play on his exisitng dela then Peters is the one that has the most to lose.
