Von Miller proves the doubters wrong
ddaryl replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Some fans expected way to much last year when he was coming off an ACL tear. Those take a full year before you start getting up to speed... -
Joe Marino: 1/4 of Bills 2024 salary cap is dead cap!
ddaryl replied to JaCrispy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I honestly can't believe people are just now acknowledging our dead cap this season. I've been saying since last season that this year would be a reset year, and even more so when we traded Diggs. Pretty obvious what Beane was going to do given the age of a solid portion of our roster. Set up Allen for his back 9 in a Bills uniform -
Beyond annoying... I've hit the wall. I'm tired of jumping though multiple hoops just to watch Bills games on TV.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401326626 That playoff game is a great example of wr by commitee... As it started to look more like that Brady took over OC imo. https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547543 https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547558 https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547583 https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547600 https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547611 https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547626 https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547647 https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547751 https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547758 -
NFL feeding itself to the sharks (Private Equity)
ddaryl replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cost/price increases. Fans are geting priced out. Have to have 4 differenct streaming services to watch all the games -
I did not for multiple reasons. 1. I am not paying $400 to watch sunday Bills games on TV. 2. We play 6 prime time games 3. I expect some of the games on Sunday to be broadcast nationally 4. I'm coming back to Buffalo for about 6 weeks in Sept So I will only need Sunday ticket for 6 games im guessing, and divide that by the cost it's just not worth it IMO

Since this is a fantasy situation #1 over all is my 1st choice, but whomever saw me as a difference maker, and drafted me the earliest Don't care where. #1 draft picks are difference makers and if im fortunate enough to be considered that I'd assume I'm capable of making the difference for the franchise that drafted me. Be cool to the fans, say the right things, play and practice with passion From there money takes care of itself while playing and afterwards

Do Athletes endorsements affect your purchasing?
ddaryl replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think any advertisement with any star has that affect on me. However in the name of brand recognition, it does have an effect. I probably still would not buy the product unless I see lots of feedback from trusted sources. If its a new product and the commercial peaks my interest I might buy and try. -

John Elway admits Josh Allen was his biggest regret
ddaryl replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
But there was an intelligent reason for that.. We did not want Whaley making this decision. We ended up with Allen the next year and drafted Tre White with the trade. With the growing pains McDermot has displayed I don't feel Mahommes would be a difference maker here and we got the right man for Buffalo in Allen -
Hyde doesn't seem interested in playing a full season if he plays. He says IF he plays it will be for the BIlls Sounds to me he is looking at the 2nd half of the season and the Bills injury status at that time Jackson is a vet but probably won't make the team

Allen among most accurate passers on balls of 10+ yards
ddaryl replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
That may be the case here, but I stand by statement. QBs with a sub 60% completion % 99 times out of 100 ... heck 999 times out of 1000 don't become what Allen becomes. You can see that lots of talking heads also did not see it either. yes I am thrilled that Beane and Company recognized this and stuck to there guns about Allen... in hindsight. Allen has greatly surpassed all my expectations to the point where I see him as a 1st ballot HoF candidate -
This is a huge wildcard for us. If Elam becomes what was expected when we drafted him our CB depth looks a lot tighter

Allen among most accurate passers on balls of 10+ yards
ddaryl replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still don't think you can.. Allen is just an anomoly. 99 times out of 100 IMO a QB with a sub 60% college completion % doesn't become what Allen has become. The fact he had to write all those letters and only got 1 school to give a chance might of played into that narrative a bit as he probably didn't get the best preperation from Wyoming for becoming a pro QB. -
Pegula imploring Beane and McD to get Allen to embrace a CEO role?
ddaryl replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thats what I love about Allen. He is one of the guys and he lets his work on the field do his talking. He is also a terrific guy outside of the team, as shown in everyting he does. Find players with the mental capacity to do their jobs day in and day out without a need for someone to be in there face. -

The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?

After the 1st couple of seasons I thought it was just a Vikings thing.... but obviously its ugly head reared again -
i will also assume you stayed in a Holiday Inn Express as well.

the trick is to find a group of players who have the intellectual ability to absorb the nuances of multiple spots in the offense and retain it. As well as the coaches to teach them what they don't yet know and keep them on the path to improvement, and teammates who help each other through it Hopefully it works out because it does sound like an advantage for the offense. I do forsee growing pains with all the motions and position juggling
