the last post i actually read here was in '98 (it involved joe pendry). that hasn't deterred me from responding.

lemme tell you about this guy: jon-chucky-gruden. this guy has got all the tools mnf requires. this guy can talk, telestrate and hit his cues like no other. the guy is an analytical monster. you talk about presence in the booth -- this guy has it in spades. that guy is a football analyst's football analyst. that guy, he just takes your breath away! whoa, baby!

i think you're confusing sarcasm for political correctness. the problem isn't the color of the player, but rather the talent level. if you tell me a player is a monster in the middle, a ball hawk or a devastating blocker, then i know what i'm getting. if i hear someone has a high motor, it usually means they have a lot of pluck but don't possess the physical tools to dominate against talented players. that being said, they usually take their punishment and keep coming back for more (rather than just giving up completely).

i don't get it either. judging from the op's other (locked) thread, i'm guessing it involves "eating crow" if you're proven wrong at some point. or maybe your tbd privileges will be revoked. i tend to think that the coaches, players, front office and owner should be held accountable if a team doesn't make the playoffs rather than a random grouping of fans.
