  1. now i get it.
  2. i'm in la as well. this still make me want to put a shotgun in my mouth. cue all the horny 45 year olds in 3...2...1...
  3. so true. fitz is the most frodo-like quarterback in the nfl.
  4. that reminds me -- i need to pick up a couple of pounds of ground chuck on the way home. it's taco night.
  5. huh? you brought up jim caldwell and his secret formula, not me. you called the bills organization "dufuses," not me. my comments are all based on what fitz has said. and it's clear that he feels lee is telling him something he's never learned before. i like fitz. before he took over, this team was brutal to watch. it was absolutely awful. i know the dude is flawed but i love the fact that he's willing to take risks that may exceed his ability. at least he orchestrates an exciting offense. still, i'm surprised that none of his previous coaches have taken the time to discuss mechanics to him prior to today -- especially since he's almost thirty. i'm not sure why you think that i'm ripping fitz or the bills here. i'm just surprised that someone in his position never had this training before.
  6. john potter pinning them down! boooyahhhh!!!!!
  7. this is less ironic than it is unfortunate. in praising lee, they denigrated fitz. maybe i've been hitting the peyote too hard but i figure that in this day and age, when nfl teams have like 20 coaches and every high school player with an arm attends a specialized qb camp, there's gotta be someone discussing mechanics with qb's. apparently not.
  8. this doesn't make his admission any less surprising. i can't believe that no coach in fitz's 6 years broached the topic. i would expect any 29 year old nfl qb to have had this discussion at some point in his life. then again, i make no claim to knowing the inner workings of an nfl organization. maybe the coaches and players just play grab-ass on non-game days. regardless, i've done some research and found a promising young quarterback's coach that the bills might want to consider. this guy seems pretty solid, mechanics-wise: http://www.campquarterback.com/coaches/rob-johnson/
  9. “I’ve never really had a technician as a coach,” said Fitzpatrick. “I’ve kind of always just gone out there and thrown. And I don’t know why I go out and throw like I do. I just go out and do it." i find it surprising that a quarterback could not only get into the nfl, but play for 7 years without anyone ever discussing mechanics with him. then again, maybe he flew under the radar since he was a backup most of that time. billy jo hobert managed to get by without even knowing the playbook. still, having your team's quarterback admit to not knowing the mechanics is somewhat disconcerting given their importance. that would be like a poster on tbd admit to not knowing how to use emoticons.
  10. it's ok. most everyone here is fat-fingered, lazy and drunk. except maybe astrobot and promo because they're, you know, droids.
  11. are you drunk? i love your avatar... but seriously, are you drunk?
  12. i make no claims to understand the inner workings of the hearts of other men. i have no idea what vince is thinking or where he's at. my opinion is that he's sad and resigned to playing a game he might not be all that interested in. i can't help wondering if the fun is gone and if he really cares that this is his "last chance." what else is he going to do? again, this assessment might be totally off base since i've never spoken to the man. regardless, feeding the press what they need and hitting on certain talking points doesn't impress me. i would expect any backup to fitz to come in ready to express their eagerness to learn and contribute.
  13. these guys have won 10 games over the past 2 seasons. if there's seriously a cap issue, i'm backing out of the nfl ticket.
  14. deflated. humbled, maybe? as a usc fan, i have to say he doesn't seem at all like the guy who ripped them in the rose bowl. i've always felt there were other things going on with vince. as appealing as the allure of being a professional football player is to must of us, i'm not sure if he's built for it.
  15. as a huge devotee of the hippity-hop lifestyle i can assure you that 90% of it involves unbridled, fully-clothed pelvic thrusting. any real doctor would instantly recognize the carnage this might cause to an athlete's groin and strongly recommend against it. if stevie wanted to rap, he should have done so from the comfort of an ergonomically designed couch or, at the very least, a la-z-boy. this would have severely limited the damage to his groin. the minute he stood up and fell under the spell of those phat, relentless beats, his fate -- and that of his groin -- was determined.
  16. exactly! if he had been relaxing his groin and not hip-hopping with game then he wouldn't have needed surgery!
  17. i'll always remember that night, especially the explosive diarrhea i suffered after drunkenly consuming copious amounts of wings, mighty taco and viola's subs. the unholy combination of grease and blue paired with the pure adrenaline of the moment wreaked havoc on my system. now that was torture. luckily, i blacked out at halftime when we were still up by two.
  18. this guy should be focused on relaxing his groin, not hip-hopping with game.
  19. well, except this guy: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/on-faith/post/christian-terrorist-madman-how-do-we-understand-anders-behring-breivik/2011/07/25/gIQA7c6XYI_blog.html and maybe this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Robert_Rudolph and i don't think we can count the ira or kkk because they haven't blown up or lynched anyone in a long time. other than that, you're right. it's the muslims causing all the trouble.
  20. this sentiment seems logical and well reasoned. the rest of your post, not so much.
  21. but if we don't know where these bills came from, how can we know where they're going?
  22. this is news back when my zubaz still fit.
  23. how does the clientele's mullet situation stack up against that of the 'downer?
