  1. i dunno...the guy might be onto something there. he is pretty handsome, after all.
  2. It's only fair to wait until 2014 to gauge his talent level since the strike might delay his development as well. It's the least the Bills could do.
  3. exactly. usually i'm fairly confident that they'll find a way to lose in the most heartbreaking and moronic manner imaginable. that feeling of doom is fairly ingrained. yesterday, for the first time in forever, i was sure that they were actually going to beat a good team in ot. i thought that they had finally turned the corner on these types of losses after the cincy and detroit games. of course, we got burned again. at some point you need to stop "learning" how to win and actually do it. i think we're all fairly exhausted of watching opposing players step up while our guys stumble.
  4. it's definitely the religious component. i've never heard of an athlete calling out god for their misfortune, especially on twitter. it's both hilarious and bizarre -- perfect media fodder.
  5. that's an unfair question. i can't have a player who consistently gets open and makes the game winning catch? i'm not arguing that stevie doesn't have a bright future ahead of him. i love his emotion and feel for the game. that said, wouldn't it be nice if a bill could step up in a pressure situation and finally put the game away -- especially against a quality opponent?
  6. just unsure how dropping that td is a learning experience.
  7. disagree. one ot td catch is far more important than the number of times he's able to get open. he makes that td catch and all those earlier drops will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.
  8. she's right. harvey levin rarely, if ever, posts sunday updates. now, let's go watch some rachel ray and call it a night.
  9. don't apologize. let's go watch some barefoot contessa together.
  10. i equate this game with the baltimore one (roughly the equivalent to pittsburgh). i felt that the detroit and bengal games were learning experiences. i felt that they had finally learned to win. i hoped that this game would show actual, measurable growth against a good team. unfortunately, the result was the same. still not good enough. we still need to beat a good team. that's what it all comes down to. don't get me wrong -- we're not the same boring team we were in year's past -- we're just still not a contender. and that's the point.
  11. the bengals are a championship team? detroit?
  12. again, praise for almost winning? i love this team and think they're playing the best that they can against superior talent. they've made it fun to watch football again for the first time in a couple years. can't we just win for once, though? is that too much to ask? i can't stand herm edwards, but he's right -- you play to win the games.
  13. it's too much to expect a wide receiver to catch a game winning ball in ot?
  14. it's not about being in the spotlight -- i love the fact that stevie's a positive, fun presence. i love that he's bringing attention to the bills and making games fun again. still, it's about making a clutch catch to win the game. he's gotta make that catch, dude.
  15. yes, as long as he's unhappy with himself, i consider this a win.
  16. sweet! now we just need to photoshop jeff littman's ugly mug over a pic of salacious crumb...
  17. Dude, you definitely need to photoshop Coach Chan's face over that of Sir Alec Guinness in that pic.
  18. I'm fine with either. I just wish Corto was more subtle when holding fools.
  19. He's been giving them love since they drafted Spiller.
  20. Didn't see this posted yet. Apologies if it is... You can listen without registering or signing up: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/danpatrick/blog/137581/index.html
  21. MClem06 -- after 10 years of lurking on this board, I've finally come upon that elusive comment from which I cannot ignore. I have no idea what you're talking about, but I admire your fire, dear sir. I, too, am unsure as to what is wrong with America, but somewhere, in your confused logic, there is most likely an answer. Godspeed, kind sir. Godspeed.
