We finally have a great chance at the #1 overall pick
Albany,n.y. replied to LFC24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Giants will not be deterred in their quest for the top pick. If any team gets too close to them they'll bench Eli & start either Tanney or Lauletta. -
But the Browns blew more draft picks than a hooker at the combine.

The ownership has no respect for us
Albany,n.y. replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They're trying to build a champion over a few years, not trying to go 8-8 every year which is what keeping the players you want to keep would get us. You just want to feel good on a Sunday this October, they want to feel good on Super Bowl Sunday in 2-3 years and subsequent Super Bowl Sundays. You must have loved the Jauron era, 7 good feeling Sundays a year. -
Can he play QB? Can't do any worse than Peterman.

Time for you to find another team. They're not going anywhere. Why don't you wake up and look at the backup QB in the league and knock off your criticism of management who know a lot more than you do. Here are some rosters you can look at & see that around the league there are a lot of bad scenarios waiting to happen if their teams starters go down. Most of the backups are other teams rejects taken off the scrap heap or guys who have virtually no real game experience: Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, San Diego, Oakland (AJ was so bad in camp the Bills traded him), Dallas, NY Giants (their 2nd stringer is another Bills reject on his 9th team & their 3rd stringer is a mid round rookie) , Carolina, San Francisco (after JG injury), Seattle .

They get that way because after having to deal with some of the most insane & stupid calls and after a few years they know they're smarter than most callers, because the smart ones don't kill their whole afternoon waiting on the phone line so they can state an opinion. I remember years ago I used to listen to a now dead political talk show host who would constantly say things like "I can't take it anymore, I've got to get out of here."

Come on Mrs. Peterman. I know you love the big bucks your husband pulls in as an NFL player, but the gravy train can't go on forever. Tell Nate to retire and go back home & volunteer at his old high school so that next year when high school coaching jobs open up he can land a job in football where he can actually succeed.

Allen will never develop under Mcdermott
Albany,n.y. replied to LFC24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess I shouldn't have gone over your head with sarcasm. I was basically saying your OP was garbage, and never meant for you to think that I was actually comparing any situation with Tom Brady's. Now I guess you understand. -
Allen will never develop under Mcdermott
Albany,n.y. replied to LFC24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These defensive minded coaches should never be allowed to coach a team that doesn't have a 5 year veteran franchise QB. They'll never develop a young QB. Look at what defensive genius Belichick did in NE. He took this young QB, was very conservative with him the 1st year he started & ruined the guy. It's been 17 years since anyone remembers that kid Tom Brady that Belichick made disappear. -
What Does McBeane See In Peterman?
Albany,n.y. replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
4 games is not so many chances. For the OP to use that term was wrong. I'm certainly not part of any contingent that wants him to get another shot. My point was that the only reason he got any shot to fail 3x was because 1) Tyrod was playing so poorly. 2) McCarron bombed. 3) Allen got hurt after Peterman's replacement was already signed but it was too early for him to be ready. The only reason he got any chances was due to unforeseen circumstances. For the record, I'm the guy who started calling Peterman "Nathan Marangi" as soon as the calls for him to play started. I also got flamed by the Peterman crowd by mocking Tasker's support for Peterman by asking if Tasker is Peterman's agent. So if anything, I've always been part of the anti-Peterman group, not the other way around. You need a reading comprehension course before you start calling a post you've totally misunderstood dumb. Learn to read. All I said was so many chances is not a correct term. I stand by it. Again, learn to read English. -
If Peterman wants to redeem himself, he should trade his car in for a scooter.

Where would this team be if AJM was the Day 1 starter?
Albany,n.y. replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The same record as AJ's current team. -
What Does McBeane See In Peterman?
Albany,n.y. replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see where he's been given "so many chances". He made the team as a rookie backup & when the starter was playing horribly, the coach tried him in an attempt to shake up the offense & he failed. Then in the offseason they drafted the QB of the future and decided not to waste a fortune like Arizona did with Bradford and settled for McCarron. McCarron was bad in mini camps and preseason & they decided to cut bait. They didn't feel Allen was ready after the Cincy preseason game so the last man standing was Peterman. He started & lasted a little over a half. Then they eventually sign Anderson & have the misfortune to lose Allen one week before Anderson is ready to play. They have tried with McCarron & now Anderson to have an adequate 2nd stringer or placeholder starter to replace Peterman & got stuck with Peterman twice this season due to the 1st guy failing to be what they thought he was and the 2nd guy being a week away. Hardly "so many chances" for Peterman. -

Week 7: NFL Flexes CIN vs. KC to SNF

I'd rather see Allen vs Luck in primetime, so screw NBC, I'm watching Shameless. -
NFL Broadcast Rules & Regulations

I was watching that game & when NBC switched to Heidi, I turned the game on, on the radio. Most of the nation didn't have that option but I grew up in the suburbs of NYC. -
What would Bills record be if Nate was still QB?
Albany,n.y. replied to prissythecat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has another chance to shine. Josh Allen's shoes need polishing & buffing. -
Don't try to eat them. ?

He had more catches for more yards than anyone on the Bills last year. If your art collection is a bunch of finger paints by a kindergarten class, a starving artist's painting represents a huge upgrade. We're not looking for Julio Jones here, just anyone who will upgrade the WRs this season. At this time of year you take whoever represents a short term upgrade and worry about the long term in the offseason.

The QB of those offenses was Tyrod Taylor who came in as a backup & has returned to his natural status. Is the Bills offense the same as when Tyrod was the QB? The answer is no.
