True! He also had a head scratcher before that for a pick to the same part of the field. He's pretty hit or miss anywhere past 15 yards, at least from my relatively uninformed perspective. I dont thnk the Bills need to play nickel, they really need the LBs more than the DBs/Safeties against him

Not sure about this but watching the Ravens 311lb FB makes me wish we had one of those. To the untrained eye he appears faster than either of our RBs. Just having another guy back there to give Allen another second or two to find an open guy is worth the price, but i really have no idea which of the three stooges we have to choose from are going to be best at that. Maybe have Lee Smith line up as FB and skip the RB altogether?

Hosteler had 'the added dimension' of being mobile. if you were around then you'll remember the pundits talking nonstop about that in the days and week leading up to the SB. Rivers does not have that added dimension. Plus, i'll say, Otis Anderson was not a consistently great back but when he showed up he was pretty much unstoppable. That and I'll go on and assume that this version of the Bills aren't spending this week getting hammered all night and chasing hangovers

I think Saban is winding down and maybe doesn't want to do the work required to bring someone newer along. I also suspect that they're going to go after Dabo Swinney hard once Saban announces his retirement, which could very well be next week after they win the Natty.

I could see Gase, honestly. If all he has to do is get a bunch of 5 star recruits to rack up yardage, and not the other 99 things the HC has to worry about, he'll be ok. It's not like Saban would give him a very long leash in any case. I have a much harder time imagining BOB in that role.

AT&T is desperately trying to unload 49% of DTV to raise some cash. DTV is worth a whole lot less without the ticket. I’d argue it is essentially worthless without it. Even if they keep it though my bet would be the NFL peeling back a bunch more games for national timeslots to sell off to ESPN or amazon or whomever. I’ve been saying for 20 years that a pay per view option by game would be fine by me
