  1. one old man interviewing another. they're gonna talk about what their favorite episode of Matlock is and get of my lawn you kids i once had breakfast at a diner in New Jersey, and Dan Patrick and a few friends were sitting at the next table. What an absolute blowhard. Dude, you're not the radio host of the diner. He was trying to impress the young waitress by telling her 'what an honor' it was to get to see Kenny Williams play in high school.
  2. Someone get Da'Rick agent on the phone, stat!
  3. He's exciting but not at that price tag. Plus we don't need the smooth brains here calling for him to start at QB if Allen has a bad game.
  4. Good. Let’s take the continuity and call it a win
  5. Chargers were the obvious landing spot - you have to wonder if he would want to take on the messes in Philly or Houston. I completely understand the idea of wanting that promotion and joining that elite fraternity of HC's in the NFL, but have to weigh that against the wife and kids and being 'home'. I took a job at another company to get a level promotion, and almost immediately regretted it, and was back a year later.
  6. It's pretty funny, but I'll take a team full of guys who make a dumb mistake then keep plowing forward rather than make a mistake then melt down. Besides, a pass deflected with your helmet counts just as much as one deflected with your hands! I hope he's gained some confidence and comes to play against KC!
  7. Agreed I was thinking the same thing last night. I think we are going to see a lot of Lamar vs Josh in the years to come and I’m looking forward to it!
  8. A 3 yard gain by Lamar followed by 5 minutes of announcers gushing over his athleticism and historic nature of the 3 yard run
  9. Strait outta the 50s. QB sweep, QB pitch to RB, QB to TE The problem is that he finally has the personnel to pull it off
  10. Yeah good thing i'm not in charge of the D because im a reactional idiot. It's just that when baltimore is in 3rd a long, they're less likely to pass than any team in the league because of their run game. I think SD has the advantage of being able to get pressure with the front 4 that we havent done much of this year, but like you say, we'll see in a few days!
  11. True! He also had a head scratcher before that for a pick to the same part of the field. He's pretty hit or miss anywhere past 15 yards, at least from my relatively uninformed perspective. I dont thnk the Bills need to play nickel, they really need the LBs more than the DBs/Safeties against him
  12. Well thank heavens you're here to tone police football players! Do you keep a list of every person who doesn't toe your arbitrary line in their daily lives?
  13. Yeah it looks like pretty average night, not even that cold compared to what it could be. Shouldn't be a factor either way. Let 'em play!
  14. That's the first Ravens game I watched this year and I was pretty surprised by how quick he is on his feet. Love the LoTR reference
  15. Not sure about this but watching the Ravens 311lb FB makes me wish we had one of those. To the untrained eye he appears faster than either of our RBs. Just having another guy back there to give Allen another second or two to find an open guy is worth the price, but i really have no idea which of the three stooges we have to choose from are going to be best at that. Maybe have Lee Smith line up as FB and skip the RB altogether?
  16. I wouldn't lose too much sleep over what Nate Silver has to say on the topic. Dunkirk Don has about as good a track record as he does
  17. Sorry for your loss Taro, but take solace in the hope that your father enjoyed this with you
  18. Was that the Canadian Comet game against the phins? I still lol at that. Someone here called him the 'vomit comet'
  19. Hosteler had 'the added dimension' of being mobile. if you were around then you'll remember the pundits talking nonstop about that in the days and week leading up to the SB. Rivers does not have that added dimension. Plus, i'll say, Otis Anderson was not a consistently great back but when he showed up he was pretty much unstoppable. That and I'll go on and assume that this version of the Bills aren't spending this week getting hammered all night and chasing hangovers
  20. I havent listened to Rome in years (work at home, not in car much any more) but during the flutie/johnson controversy leading up to the homerun throwback playoff game, he was great radio.
  21. Yeah especially in Vegas, right? probably Uber & Stripper packages you can ask for at the front desk.
  22. I mean if the choices are Lynn or Gailey, then yeah, i'll take Gailey. Kind of curious what sort of circus O he would put in place with the skill players we have now versus tweedle dee and tweedle dont
  23. Zero nostalgia for that entire time. leave it where it belongs
