Put yourself in Nate's shoes. Do you think he wants to be a Bill or would he rather go to a team with a real offensive line, receivers that get open and catch, and effective running game, an established veteran QB starter and an offense and offensive coaches that run a successful system? The Bills are a terrible fit for him.

Silver Lining: Pryor is a Bill
keepthefaith replied to Threedollabills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, he's got a good head on his shoulders. Not at all impressed with his play yesterday. He looks like another slow guy with below average hands out there. -
You only have to look as far back as 3 weeks ago to see that the Dolphins beat the Bears with Osweiler throwing 32 passes of less than 10 yards and scored 31 points. Their WR's had a ton of yards after the catch. Given the lack of the Bills WR corps ability to get open, it's not a stretch to think that the Bills braintrust determined that a short passing game was the way to go no matter which Buffalo QB played. Not defending Peterman's role on this team but the guy played a decent game yesterday in the context of the game plan which was obviously a short passing game. He played with some grit and determination and didn't make a bunch of mistakes. Some yes but he was mostly sound, his best game and his first complete game as a Bill. I'd wager that today the locker room is mostly supportive of his game yesterday. You'll have a great chance to be wrong on this. Peterman will likely move on from the Bills and he'll be on a roster next year. Watch and see.

Kelvin Benjamin needs to be cut
keepthefaith replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Better coached? My hunch is that he's had several coaches that have told him: Make sharp cuts when the route calls for that, don't take a down off, stay on your feet (meaning don't fall down), catch the ball with your hands and see yourself catch it, hustle, practice like you expect to play. Things like that. He may not have the best hands or the best body control but he doesn't look committed to the fundamentals. That's all on him. He'd be more than a 1 trick pony if he just gave a better effort IMO. Maybe "better coaching" has to include lighting has ass up on the sideline and putting him on the bench for a quarter until he fixes his inconsistent effort. -
Kelvin Benjamin needs to be cut
keepthefaith replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He needs to be replaced but sadly he is probably the receiver on the team that is hardest for the opposing defense to defend, so on that basis I think the Bills need to keep him playing unless there is a younger guy on the team that they want to develop. Right now I don't see a single starting caliber receiver on the Bills roster. Not one. -
Why did Rex only get 2 years?
keepthefaith replied to RosenNOTchosen1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the real question here is why did he get a contract at all? -
Obviously Allen is the future. Nate played a gritty game yesterday. Was under pressure often, took a lot of hits, ran the ball well when he had to (excluding the hail Mary he should have thrown), made some good throws (many more good than not) seemed to have a good command of the offense including in no huddle, and overall probably did what the coaches wanted him to do. The offense has many other problems, most notably a poor running game.

Finally the end for peterman???
keepthefaith replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know. Why did Benjamin fall down on that? Slipped? Pushed? At the very least he made a lousy cut on the ball. -

The QBs haven't been good but agree on the run game. I don't even see much effort in the game plan to get Shady in some more open space. Ivory is a much better fit behind this O-line if they don't figure out how to better deploy Shady. -

This would be considered child abuse if the politics were reversed. -
Terrelle Pryor in Buffalo! Update: He's signing!
keepthefaith replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did you here his crack in his interview about throwing in the Buffalo wind if he played QB? Pretty funny. -

The challenge of pre-existing conditions is part of the effort to completely neuter the ACA. Since a full repeal has failed, they're taking the piece by piece approach. -

I wish/hope that the front office was smart enough to at least try to negotiate a team option for a 2nd or 3rd year at a raise. Maybe players and agents shy away from that but if the guy turns out to be a keeper, you'd like the opportunity to keep him. Wow, love this interview. He's not just paying lip service to the opportunity. Seems obvious that he really believes in himself and what he is saying about helping the team succeed. Could be a great addition if he can do it on the field as well. -
Agree and if Nate starts this team badly needs him to play well. Not for Nate's sake alone but as a morale boost to the players. The defense deserves a good effort and good play from the offense. The offense needs to get some confidence and needs a good week to build upon even if Derek or Josh plays the next week. The fans deserve to see this team and coaches making some progress. This is an important game for the team. I hope the fans and the defense will give the offense an emotional boost.

Which Trash-Heap QB Would You Have Signed?
keepthefaith replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe CK was better than many backups. It's been a long time since he played so chances are his game isn't what it used to be. -

Which makes Trump brilliant or lucky that stupid Harry entrapped himself. -

Now that is a damn good tweet by Trump. -
Very strong running game with Howard, Cohen and Trubisky. Cohen is a big play guy run and pass. Trubisky will make errant throws so maybe some pick opportunities for Bills defense. OL Kyle long hurt and not playing so they have a hole to fill there. Mack probably won't play or won't play full time as he's still getting healthy. Even without him their D is quite good. Hicks on DL is a beast.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
keepthefaith replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Most would probably agree that the birth right of citizenship has been abused for decades. We'll see if the President tries to take action on it and if it ends up in the courts, the interpretation of 14th and some other clauses will be an interesting fight. Yes typically for PED or substance abuse confirmed by tests. Kelly's yet to be adjudicated and he's not under contract. The league won't be in a hurry to deal with this unless some team signs him. Until then it's probably the off-season before the league acts on it. Given that no team is likely to sign him soon.
