He pulled a Harry Reid and fell off the treadmill during a very intense workout. -
Occasi-Cortez Channeling the Rent's too damn high guy

It's becoming clear in these hearings. Dems more senior to her are perfectly willing to have AOC ask the ridiculous questions that they would never have the guts to ask themselves and AOC is perfectly willing to accept the questions, rehearse them and make a complete ass of herself without even realizing she's just a prop. -

Come to think of it, I've never met one that is a paid philosopher and I've met a shitload of people in my lifetime. -
The stupidity of Free Agency summed up in one deal.

It is dumb but the players and agents love the contract leapfrogging that goes on every year. Gives them data and leverage for negotiations and keeps player salaries on the steady rise. It's a great gig (player or agent) if you can get it. Owners and GM's often don't look smart in the process. -

It depends. Muslims are like Christians and Jews in that people practice their religions to varying degrees. I have known plenty of Christian's over the years who are lousy Christian's meaning they don't behave in a manner respectful to those values and don't actually practice the religion. I know others that are very true to their Christian faith in every facet of their lives and seek every hour of every day to be true to those values. I have a Muslim friend who lives on Long Island whom I've known for 25 years. He's got a giant personality, he's got 3 kids, is divorced, has had several girlfriends in recent years, drinks, swears, runs a good business, drives flashy cars, dresses very well, treats women well including his ex, watches sports, is fun to be around and prays several times a day. He was not born in the U.S. and came here for college. He also loathes the religious conflict around the world and thinks that many of his "people" are nuts. Great guy, met him doing business together and I wish we could spend more time with each other. One night in the late 90's he wanted to take me to the top of the World Trade Center for dinner but I didn't have the required jacket to enter the restaurant. He drove me to his house from his office, grabbed a blue blazer from his closet for me and off we went. His business partners and several employees are Muslims and they are all like him. Great people, smart and fun and not wrapped up in all the hate but are probably criticized by some other Muslims as not being very true to their faith. They have embraced American culture and still find room to practice their faith. Omar and Tlaib are different.

I would have bet heavily on Biden running a couple months ago but I don't think he's going to run. I think Bernie's big money raise and big poll numbers and his own party telling everyone that they need diversity in their candidate may keep him away. -

Bills re-sign Jordan Phillips
keepthefaith replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't get the 1 year deals sometimes. If you like the player, sign him for more than a year. Obviously both sides have to come to agreement, but a longer deal for Jordan would have been better if it was a realistic possibility.
