  1. Legal battle ensues as Michigan passed a law restricting Tesla sales in the state. https://cleantechnica.com/2018/06/12/tesla-legal-battle-heats-up-in-michigan/ Also: Michigan loves the auto industry for obvious reasons. In August every year they have the Woodward Dream Cruise, a multi-day event where tens of thousands of classic cars cruise for miles for days, well organized by local police. I think more than a million people attend each year. The carbon monoxide and exhaust fumes from all the old cars is almost overwhelming to spectators and drag races occur on the street with no objection from police. A true throwback event. Can't believe leftists haven't tried to shut it down. It's a great weekend though for car buffs.
  2. Maybe in Canada. You can't even buy a Tesla in Michigan.
  3. She's a joke and most Dems will not take her crazy proposals seriously. The chances of the US adopting medicare for all or some crazy energy/environmental laws are zero if for no other reason than big health care and big oil will buy Dem politicians if needed. At the rate she's going she'll suffer a big embarrassing moment or some other beat down (figuratively) soon. The Dem party has a great chance to take the White House in 2020 unless they continue this very far left turn and they might be stupid enough to continue. The Senate will likely stay Red in 2020. Relax.
  4. Ya know, it's past time that some of these Washington dirtbags get the squeeze. Maybe having a new AG will make a difference.
  5. The definition of deportation was changed to include people turned around from the U.S. near the border. That ballooned the numbers. That's been widely reported. Obama also had his homeland security team process many illegal immigrants through certain checkpoints and then had them moved into the interior of the country by buses and planes. He also funded churches and other groups to support these newly arrived people. He made a decision to do that which is in stark contrast to Trump.
  6. Obama individually was/is very far left. What would he have done if not shackled by a Republican House and Senate? What does he believe in? He believes in financial reparations today for African Americans due to slavery. He has said so in his own words. He believes in redistribution through more paid entitlements for low income people (free healthcare, child care and others). He believes in much higher taxation on the rich even to the point of limiting the worth of the rich. He believes in open borders or nearly open borders. He harbors bitter feelings of white colonialism and the white power structure around the world. He is very anti-business especially toward large corporations. He cares little about fiscal discipline. He has criticized our constitution as one that fails to guarantee economic rights for the people. He is without a doubt the most left President we ever had in terms of his political ideology. He did seem to recognize that there were limits of Presidential power and what he could get done in 8 years and had to settle for only moving the needle so far left. The 2010 and 2016 elections will go down as some of the most important in the history of the country.
  7. Yup, they build Explorers there and also in Russia. Chicago is tooling up right now for all-new 2020 Explorer production. The Russian plant may be on the chopping block or scheduled for reductions. Not even Trump can save that Russian operation.
  8. On immigration, Trump has taken a no-brainer, a slam dunk that we need to finally end illegal immigration and he has made it a contest. 90% of his communication on the matter is over-simplistic and fails to effectively make the case. Yeah same could be said about his communication on most everything. His wall mantra (failing to articulate the problem and solution fully or well) hurts the cause and makes it easy for the opposition to argue for the status quo. Trump for a business guy is mostly terrible at selling a position on issues. Republican politicians should try very responsible governing which mostly they don't do. That IMO is the best winning formula for both the country and re-election.
  9. Abrams sounded like she was talking during the Obama years.
  10. If any of us were then we all were.
  11. I thought that was a big stretch.
  12. Separation of church and state and other states.
  13. Yeah, watching Dems brood while Trump lists successes is very telling.
  14. Which is dumb on their part. Chicago deserves to be on that list, high on the list.
  15. Yeah what's that old joke about the 4 guys that go to a bar for beer every day and the richest among them picks up most of the tab until one day the rich guy decides he's done with that leaving the other 3 outraged how much they each now have to pay?
  16. It's a common legal practice for plaintiffs/prosecutions to ask courts to issue citations for enormous sums of information against defendents. Media overplays it. Standard pressure tactic.
  17. This is hilarious, Andrew Cuomo complaining of revenue dip due to the Trump tax reforms and mentioning the rich leaving. https://nypost.com/2019/02/04/cuomo-announces-income-tax-revenues-have-dropped-by-2-3b/ Welcome to the club, NY. Illinois I believe leads the nation in people leaving.
  18. Bad timing for the left. If done correctly Trump can expose their position as open borders advocates. Cameras on RBG's empty chair won't be good either after Nancy gave her an extra week to rebound. Something tells me his treatment at school among peers will get much better very soon. Her election and re-election says a lot for the people of her district. No shame.
  19. It's truly sad that she didn't retire years ago. People like her are mentally ill, hanging on to their self-important positions until the grave or until they can no longer enjoy living life. Same goes for many others in Washington.
