Hmmmm.... Reason to suspect AOC is a Kremlin plant? Some token Republican panelist on a Sunday morning show should introduce that idea.

The Trump Shutdown

Only Democrat taxpayers will have their tax refunds held. Payback's a biatch ain't it? -
Greatly respect your work/posts on all of this. On this particular theory though, I just don't see it. Mueller is part of the grand IC establishment and would have to turn on many of his "friends" if this were the case. That and he's gone hard after people in Trump's orbit on some ticky tack stuff which to me says he's trying hard to find or create a crime. I'd love to be wrong but I don't see people with long government service having Trump's back even if it is legally just. Trump is truly a square peg surrounded by round holes with no path out except for when the door opens in 2020.

How about the one that hit and runned my car causing almost $10K in damage? Too bad for him I caught him. -
It really has gotten that bad. A couple years ago I asked a man of color who was digging through our dumpster after hours to leave the property. I was nice and first introduced myself. He was trespassing and making a mess. He called me a racist twice and refused to leave. I shook my head and went inside contemplated calling the police but didn't. After a few more minutes he left on his own but not before he finished his rummaging and leaving crap all over the ground.

The Trump Shutdown

Yes, short term there would be a bump in revenues if more working people paid into SS and Medicare, but at current rates the average income earner pays in less than they draw in benefits plus there are additional draws of funds for disability folks. All in all the programs aren't self funding at current rates of taxation. Long term adding more people makes the programs more upside down. https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2013/feb/01/medicare-and-social-security-what-you-paid-what-yo/ It would be better if there wasn't a case for much greater security and if our leadership could go to the leadership of neighboring nations and get their help in solving the problem. Managing visa overstays and greater drug enforcement wouldn't be terribly costly on their own with a little help from our friends. -

So if the U.S. granted citizenship to illegal immigrants here (20+ million) and then hung the vacancy sign on the front door, what do you think would be the impact to the cost of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid as a result of these new citizens and their offspring over the next 75 years or 1 lifetime? Right now, as a country we are going to have to severely cut benefits for existing Americans or crank up taxes bigly in order to fund these programs for the current population of citizens. -

Trump, at least in Saturday's presentation, presented ideas to address several areas of illegal immigration abuse. A barrier is simply a component. As for your human rights comment, you think it's OK for anyone that's not satisfied with their situation in their country to pick and choose another country of their choice and that country should welcome them with open arms? Permanent status for those that relocated in their country of choice? Any limits on numbers and participation in government assistance? -

She's anti-Trump, she's on attack, she's a leftist, she's a brown woman. Half the population will love her no matter what she says or what she has or hasn't done. -

Obama play book. Keep it vague, but keep them believing it's something just. -

I think Harris will do better than that and may go deep in the process if Joe doesn't run. She'll have Obama in her corner if there is no Biden. Obama always had a twinkle in his eye for Kamala. Michele will be watching. -

Biden is the next President if he runs IMO, but he's not on the slate yet. The media and the DNC will forget he's an old white guy. -

Yes until you consider that she's good for viewership. Those that agree with her positions can't wait to hear more and those that think she can't find her behind with either hand can't wait to hear her next laughable comment. Win, win for the media. -
The GAME when you knew the Bills HC wasn't the guy!
keepthefaith replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For me it wasn't a particular game. It was when Rex was hired and Schwartz was broomed. Even the casual fan could see how good the Bills' Defense had been that past year and how often do we see new coaching regimes come in around the league only to have one side is the of the ball that had been good become bad? That is then followed by the team burning up half of their draft and FA capital on "rebuilding" what was already good with players that better fit the new "system". Terrible decision by Pegula's to hire Rex. Schwartz should have been made HC or given a big fat raise to stay on as DC and an offensive minded coach should heave been hired. The Bears this past season did it right and in a way that few teams do, keeping Fangio and bringing in Nagy. It's all in the rear view mirror now and the Bills seem to be in pretty good GM and coaching hands, but years were lost. -

It was his best effort yet to articulate the issue and solutions. He had some numbers, etc and went beyond "the wall, the wall, the wall" as he has been harping. He's in a position now to expose the dems true position of amnesty for all and open borders, but I don't know if the court of public opinion will provide enough support to actually pressure Nancy and Chuck. Their dream is a dem house and dem white house in 2021 with a Senate that is not far off of 50/50. That will probably give them enough leverage to "reform" immigration to their political liking. Until then they can continue the character assassination of Trump for another 15 months or so and at that point neither party will be doing any "work" other than campaigning and fundraising. -
