  1. One of the 1 percenters. Swallwell 1%, hysterical. Trump will label them and refer to them as such for the next 6+ years.
  2. I think they should consult with Bill De Blasio. He's got some good ideas.
  3. If by "we" you mean those that bought McCarron jerseys then yes I agree.
  4. Tax cuts, big spending and low interest rates. The economy is on cocaine.
  5. That's how they keep their narrative straight. Otherwise it dead ends at a concrete barrier.
  6. You are losing very very badly. Probably best to have a seat on the bench and watch the others play.
  7. I think we should expect Barr's comments to be pretty calm and matter of fact. That's his style. The left is ramping up for Barr to defend Trump. I doubt he'll have much to say on that and will let the report mostly speak for itself, so Jeffries will probably be pleased. ?
  8. ...and maybe some of the redacted sections they are permitted to view aren't complimentary to the dem side.
  9. In this last tax cut the federal tax rates for all W-2 brackets were reduced by very similar percentages. That's about as fair as you can make it.
  10. Income went up, tax bill increased less. SALT cap got us some but Illinois is one of those targeted blue states so the laugh at all the lefties bitchin' is worth something. State taxes here rose in 2017 and likely will rise again possibly even this year retroactively. Oh and the tax return set a new record for pages this year at 111 detroying the old record of 90-something with no changes to our tax status or business activity.
  11. and for the umteenth time Tlaib, you are not a minority according to your employer. You are counted as white in the census. Quiturbitchin.
  12. Because Trump's going after a big prize in 2020, winning Minnesota which a Republican hasn't done almost ever. Omar is helping his cause.
  13. It's her total body of work including things she has said and done before 2018 and her continuing to make statements that are in my view unpatriotic at the least. She gets a lot of media coverage and so she's under more scrutiny than she would be otherwise. She's either very stupid politically or she really has an axe to grind with America. Plenty of evidence of the latter and her party doesn't call her out when she ***** up.
  14. Nope, he's simply amplifying her words. She has to own it. What's dangerous is saying the wrong things to the wrong people in the wrong time and place. Crazy words (hers) can bring on a crazy response. That law might be on the side of the victim but often too late.
  15. Maybe you Canadians ought to put more effort into making more of that 2nd largest on earth land mass y'all have instead of worrying and crassly commenting on what we are doing here in the United States.
  16. It really is time for you to go................away..................from.................here.
  17. As ridiculous a position as that seems, the left will likely play that card just as you say.
  18. That'll depend to what extent some are willing to fall on their swords or not to protect their rulers.
  19. You're making my real world math argument by not doing any math. What's the goal of reducing man's impact on climate change? How is it measured? What reductions in emissions/pollutants have to be made globally to meet the goal? Does the technology exist to achieve it and if so what is the cost of deployment and over what period of time? Globally speaking how will that responsibility be split? What will the costs be nation by nation? How will it be funded? Is it feasible? How will it be managed? How will progress be measured and reported?
  20. Agree the fund should be fire-walled off from any other use. Wasn't it Nixon that changed that law back in the 70's? Dumbass. As for the cap, there would be huge implications for companies that employ higher wage people as they would then have to contribute "their share" of about 7% unless the law were written differently. We shouldn't ask companies to do that. Frankly I think we start by offering lump sum tax free buyouts at a certain age to people with higher net worth which will pay them less than they would draw otherwise. Many I think would take it and invest it themselves. Other than that I think we should raise the employee portion withheld and simply be honest with people that it's what's necessary to keep it in the black and still provide benefits.
  21. That'll be the most frustrating part. The snail's pace at which it likely moves.
