  1. I agree with what your saying to a degree, but at the same time I think part of it is setting an example for all future dumbasses out there that this type of behavior will not be tolerated. In that sense I have no problem with them throwing the book at the guy. The guy is lucky enough to still be alive or at least not paralyzed.
  2. Alot of those wings looked and sounded disgusting. There's no way Anchor Bar should've been ranked as high as 3 even if it is the birthplace of the chicken wing so the list loses all credibility right there. They got it right with having Duffs number 1 though
  3. Same here(well I don't have any kids), some of my funnest times ever were the first few years after high school where everybody comes back into town for Thanksgiving and everybody would head out to the bars and it was just a big party. Don't get me wrong the older you get the easier it is to leave people and things in the past and move forward with your own life but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss those times. As far as the turkey bowls, it is just about impossible to find anybody my age willing to go outside and play a game of pickup football nowadays
  4. Ive never seen such a thing over at the Niagara Canadian Ballet but then again its been a few years since I've been. Maybe its just new technology changing with the times
  5. So 35 pages deep....just wondering if this topic is a new record?
  6. Facebook is garbage for sure. I like twitter because I only follow the people that are relevant to me and you learn some cool things about athletes or other famous personalities that you might not have seen otherwise.
  7. I'd agree with the thoughts that pinterest= the female version of a football messageboard lol
  8. Footballs getting launched into people's cars is a pretty common occurence at a tailgate party in Orchard Park
  9. Buffalo is a great "sports town" in the sense that people in the Buffalo area eat, sleep, and breath sports. I have a buddy who is from California and Las Vegas and had to move here because this is where his wife was originally from and he says that is actually one of his favorite parts about living here is how people are crazy about sports. Now if you were talking about the success of the local franchises then yes Buffalo would be on the leaderboard of that list.
  10. I guess all those experts don't look so stupid after all
  11. Ben Grubbs of the Saints, awesome last name for an offensive lineman
  12. Those are all great choices, another one that comes to mind for me is the loss to Jacksonville on opening day in 2004. Also opening day against the Jets in 2002 where we lost in ot on that kick return after just sending the game into ot.
  13. This is the worst song ever LOL
  14. All I can say is what the hell has taken so long??
  15. RIP Lou
  16. Has anybody else caught the Ward Gatti doc yet?
  17. The Gatti Ward documentary was excellent. What an incredible story. It is amazing that those two developed such a great friendship after going through those wars with each other.
  18. No plans this year. Was in Vegas for Halloween last year for a Wedding so not even gonna bother trying to top that.
  19. HBO ran a series of boxing documentaries in the early 2000's that covered both the Arguello-Pryor and Hearns-Hagler fights. I don't think they air them anymore but you should be able to find them online. The series was called Legendary Nights. Ironically tonight debuts the first new Legendary Nights doc they have ran since back then, featuring the story of Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward. I'm really looking forward to this one
  20. Too gimmicky for me. You want to improve the atmosphere? Build a winning football team and quit making new tailgating/stadium restrictions every year. Early 90's Rich Stadium was one of the best football atmosphere's of all-time and I don't remember them ever having to do a "white-out" to accomplish that
  21. Good 30 for 30. I wish ESPN did more boxing 30 for 30's from the golden era. You can really see the difference in just how big Boxing was back in those days. HBO Is doing a documentary about the relationship between Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward, it airs at midnight this Friday.
  22. Anybody can get on the field. It may cost you $5000 and a trip to jail but anybody can get out there if they want it bad enough
