  1. That was a right of passage as a young pre-teenager back in the day stumbling upon your Dad or Uncle's stash That and getting together with a bunch of your buddies and staying the night at someone's house and watching all the soft core HBO/Cinemax skin movies. A true male bonding experience during elementary school. Very simple but fun time in life!
  2. I was the oldest so I had to pretend to still believe for a couple years even when I knew what the deal was. Truth is I didn't want to believe that Santa wasn't real, that is probably the first real coming of age thing you experience in your life. Christmas loses some of the magic at that point but I had no problem playing along for my younger brother's sake and I can remember being pissed when he eventually found out about it from his buddy but for whatever reason I really tried to cling on to childhood for as long as possible. Didn't care for the middle school years much at all because I hadn't come out of my shell yet and missed the true childhood fun of Elementary School. Luckily I was able to grow out of that and enjoyed the fruits of high school life
  3. The NFL was a million times more fun in the 90's Bittersweet feelings...sucks that era is long gone but forever grateful I grew up then and got to experience it.
  4. Thurman Thomas was absolutely elite...1991 NFL MVP, Led NFL in total yards from scrimmage 4 years in a row, was considered Top 3 RB in his era along with Emmitt and Barry. I can see at least a debate over Jim and Andre but you cannot tell me that Thurman wasn't considered an elite RB during his playing days...hell to this day!
  5. Even though they looked really bad today, they also looked really good in just their last game they played against Toronto which is one of the top teams in the NHL. From what I have been reading on social media etc. they is way too much over analyzing going on right now. We are still a super young team and we knew there were going to be some bumps in the road but we are still heading in a great direction. Not worried at all.
  6. I have season tickets but I decided to skip the game and watched it over at my parents house with family. I instantly regretted not going once I realized how special of a game it was going to be. I was at the 8-0 Blizzard game in Cleveland in 07 though so I'll always have that.
  7. Finally had a chance to flip through the catalog. Wish I wasn't broke, there were some great items that would have been cool to purchase for my man cave!
  8. The Sabres looked flat last night. But I'm not worried about it. I think they were exhausted from going toe to toe with Tampa the night before in a very intense game. They will be fine.
  9. Spongebob was after my time but I have always said that was the one kids cartoon that I'm sure I would've loved to watch as a youngster. I have a kid brother 13 years younger than me and he grew up on Spongebob. Seemed like the one good cartoon for kids who grew up post 90's. RIP
  10. Haha to be fair, I wasn't one of those guys sold on the Jags this year! I knew they didn't have the offense, but I also didn't expect them to be this bad(but I'm not complaining) Cincy on the other hand I thought was pretty well rounded on both sides of the ball
  11. Yeah I think Minnesota was the perennial NFC favorite going into this season. It's amazing how much of a difference one year can make in the NFL.
  12. Big difference from a year ago after Tre got cheap shotted by Gronk. I like how this team is growing into a family. I can see the same thing going on with the Sabres right now.
  13. The way they looked in preseason and to start off the regular season I had them as my sleeper pick to make it to the Super Bowl...man did their season implode quick
  14. I was able to attend Wednesday and Friday's Sabres games and the Bills game yesterday. What a roll. I never luck out and get to see so many great games. The atmosphere both downtown and in Orchard Park yesterday was incredible. What a holiday weekend!
  15. Nervously excited would be more accurate for how I feel during Sabres games now because those games actually mean something. With the Bills it's more of a hope for the best feeing.
  16. Outside of all of the typical Thanksgiving traditions about 5 years ago my family incorporated watching Planes, Trains, and Automobiles at the end of the night...still going strong 5 years later and one of the things I really look forward to.
  17. I'll be there. Will be my first game at the arena of the season. This time it's the fans turn to step their game up a notch!
  18. Stinky first period for the good guys but when they play that poorly and walk away with it still being 0-0 I take that as a victory. Hopefully they wake up in the 2nd and start generating some offense.
  19. It's so funny when you think back to the days with the huge Marlboro signs by the scoreboard in the 80's and 90's. Crazy how times change
  20. Mittelstadt slowly keeps looking better and more comfortable each game. We are going to have quite a few studs on this team once Mittelstadt and Dahlin get more experience under their belt. Eichel is hitting that point right now and it is amazing to watch.
  21. I don't know how it would work out salary cap wise but if we are talking fantasy scenario's I would much rather see them make a push at signing Panarin when he hits free agency.
