What FA Signings Have Directly Lead to SB Wins?
BillsPride12 replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not about the FA signing itself so much as it is the situation that Free Agent finds themselves in where they land. The pieces already have to be in place for a Free Agent signing to put a team over the top to becoming a Super Bowl team. -
So many great 80s movies...Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Can't Buy Me Love, Secret Admirer, St. Elmo's Fire, Weird Science And those are just scratching the surface

Dion Dawkins Value - Extend or Trade?
BillsPride12 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
By the time we get to Friday someone will be asking if we should trade Josh Allen -
Hilarious to me how many NFL analysts had Denver winning the Super Bowl the first year he went there

As a Buffalo fan - who is your MLB & NBA team? Help needed
BillsPride12 replied to Bills!Win!'s topic in Off the Wall
No baseball team The Bulls were always my NBA team but I haven't really watched any NBA since LeBron won the title with Cleveland either -

RIP Mort
-
I know that was always speculated. I'm surprised this whole story isn't getting more attention. I know there's other stuff going on in the world but the deaths of 2pac and Biggie were such a big deal in the 90s
-
Hate to say it because it would be awesome but it feels like Sweat is going to rise up on team's boards not fall back
-
Wasn't there also talk about him putting the hit out for Tupac's murder? I don't just mean the typical internet speculation which has always been there but I thought he had been implicated in actual court documents or something. I remember there being a lot of talk about it and it just completely died out

I know we have to replenish our DL corps but this draft makes me nervous. From my understanding it's a weak DL class to begin with and unfortunately identifying DL talent through the draft has so far been one of Beane's weaknesses

Old school wrestling fans, Ole Anderson has died
BillsPride12 replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall
Just read that Virgil passed away today as well. Sad news -
It does sound weird but as soon as I read that it reminded me of a story my coworker told me that has a friend who works in the suites at the stadium and was working the suite Taylor Swift was in for the Chiefs game...all the workers who had to enter the Suite were all required to sign NDA's. Sounds ridiculous I know but these things are apparently more common than you think in that world.

What was the fake breaking news you sent them?
-
If you took last year's team with this year's goaltending we would be in the playoffs. It's maddening
-
Now that's shocking. I thought he was long gone. Would have guessed he passed away at least 15 years ago

Who loves ya baby I get why he wasn't the most popular personality in town but I'll be damned if his show wasn't an entertaining listen. There's nothing like it on WGR nowadays. In some ways it was soothing listening to his rants during some very bad drought era football. Whether you love him or hate him he will always be a part of Buffalo Bills folklore. RIP Coach

Unused tickets of the comeback game
BillsPride12 replied to Bills4life1924's topic in The Stadium Wall
Haha that's a pretty cool story. I love learning about random trivial things like that. If I attended the game I think I'd be pretty interested in buying a pair to hang up in my basement but I was still pretty young then. Without it having the sentimental value to me I don't think I'd spend too much $$$ on them but it would be a cool piece of memorabilia to have. I do have the ticket stub of my first game I went to as a kid hanging up in the basement. Bills-Redskins 1996. Jim Kelly's last season. Darick Holmes ran wild that day. -
I fall somewhere in the middle...I didn't hate it as much as some people did but I don't think it was some amazing piece of television history either. I also think it's so hard for these big TV series finales to live up to the hype and often times they don't. My favorite series finale for any TV show is probably The Wonder Years and that was handled as simplistic as could be and it was still great.

This take I agree with. I too fear this might be a group that collectively just can't handle the pressure. No matter what happens as they finish this year out Adams absolutely cannot sit back on his hands and just run it back with this same group without making any changes in the offseason or even at the trade deadline. But at this point we have to at least hope half of this current roster would be equipped to move forward. Tanking just isn't worth it at this point. It takes too long for NHL prospects to develop and we already have so many of them. We need to continue to move forward while still making the proper changes along the way.

Same experience for me. Was so cruel to start growing up during the Super Bowl runs and then live through the drought once it was time to start coming of age and be able to appreciate it more. Sometimes it would feel like the Super Bowl years were just something I dreamed of as a kid.

It just recently hit Netflix and has reached a new wave of fans who must have missed it the first time around because I have been seeing people posting about it all over the internet like it is new lol. But yes originally came out in 2015

What is your unpopular Bills opinion?
BillsPride12 replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just watched the 85 Bears 30 for 30 recently and those Bears players didn't speak too fondly of him in it. Calling him a Midget etc lol
