  1. Well, if the NFL teams are looking to over pay slow white defensive linemen, i think my chance to live my dream is on the horizon.
  2. Hey, can i come too? It's cold up here in Albany.
  3. Yeah i just realized that. But it is understandable considering the initial conversation was about a safety. Side note, when referring to either Roy Williams, how about we say WR Roy Williams or S Roy Williams.
  4. They have been playing the Yankees game for years, and last year was the only year they were even worth looking at as a playoff contender.
  5. Buy her anything that she wants. Do it while you can still afford her affection! J/k. Congrats
  6. Agreed. With a guy like Roy Williams you saw in his highlight reel alone that he was going to have an impact on the football field. Remember that hit that was always shown of him completely leveling that guy? I think that guy was from Oklahoma State. I think Huff is an athletic player and i think he will be fairly good if not very good in the NFL. I just think that the #8 slot is really high for a guy like him. Yes he is fast and all that other stuff, but i think if you want to take him you have to trade down and risk someone else picking him up before the Bills.
  7. Well see now i would have to agree with that to some extent. The one thing that this show has been neglecting is the way that a mobster's offspring get involved with the "business". Although i don't think it is likely that this will happen, I think it would be an interesting twist to do so.
  8. I don't think it was a "great" episode, but i think it was an interesting way to start the season off. A couple of things though... 1. Vito is obviously conspiring to kill Tony on the account of what he said about "something" happening to Tony. I think he is letting the power that he as acquired over the lay off go to his head a little bit. I think he may be conspiring with Phil, who is Johnny Sac's acting boss while Johnny is in prison. Vito is the only contact between the New York family and the Soprano family, which means that he has the power to manipulate the relationship for his benefit. 2. Tony caught a break with - I can't remember his name - the guy who was a rat and his son has MS dying. He couldn't get out what Tony was saying on tape before he croaked so, that's just one of those things that you'll have to look for. 3. Tony is not going to die. Let's be realistic here. 4. The guy who hung himself will more than likely come back at the end of the show. Do you remember how he wiped the blood on the road map when he was driving back from the hit? The FBI knew he was involved with Tony and he was working for them. Could this be the thing that finally links Tony Soprano to a murder, even though he did not give the order? (Christopher did) Did the guy who hung himself leave a suicide note? 5. When Tony was giving in to Phil on one of the shady deals between the New York family and the Soprano family, - where Tony was going to get 35% of the deal instead of the original amount - is that going to portray Tony as a weakling and inspire some factions of his family to rise up to seize power? 6. The main question i want to ask is how many of the guys from the past are going to end up affecting this story in the future? For example, the guy in the Pinebarrens. I have been waiting for him to show up in one of these episodes, seeing as Christopher and Paulie "might have" killed him. All and all i thought it was a decent episode and i think these are some key things that people should keep in mind for the remainder of the season.
  9. I would prefer if Buffalo picked up Rocky Bernard in free agency rather than Pickett and i think Bernard's stats speak on his behalf. To solve the safety problem i think we need to go with a guy like Tank Williams, i think that Williams is the best possibility in free agency. The only other guy worth looking at in free agency is there because we put him there. If we don't get Williams i think there is plenty of safety talent in this draft. Ex: Darnell Bing, is not that bad and i could certainly live with him.
  10. Okay. But all the quarterbacks on that list were not splitting playing time with another guy like Losman was. I guess i understand what you are saying now, but i still think that Losman is hands down the future of the Bills. If he wasn't splitting time or hearing crap from people in Buffalo, i bet he could be atleast in the middle of the pack next year.
  11. Wow you're right about the conference thing. I need to put the bong down or something. HAHA
  12. The idea of drafting a wuarterback with the #8 pick if you are the Bills is down right retarded. The Bills don't need a quarterback! If a quarterback does fall to us, guess what? The Detroit Lions are right behind us drafting in the #9 position. They are in dire need of a quarterback to rebuild their team, and they will draft the quarterback that falls to them. Buffalo can use this as an advantage and shop the pick before the Lions to any team that needs a quarterback. So please just shut your motuh with you ignorance. I'm sorry to put it so bluntley, but for christ sake. Pull your head out of your @$$! WE DON"T NEED A QUARTERBACK!
  13. I think that Ngata has the size and ability to play NFL football, but i don't think i want to take a chance on him. The reason i say "chance" is because he is playing in the Pac 10, and personally i believe that the Pac 10 only has one or two good teams. I don't think the game film is there to see if he can hack it against NFL caliber players. So therefore, i would pass on Ngata. I think you are better off taking somebody from a better conference that the NFL draws a lot of its players out of. For example the SEC. Hands down has some of, if not the best football at the collegiate level. It seems as though everybody from the SEC is picked up by teams because of the challenging football that they play down there. I think Vernon Davis, Broderick Bunkley, and Mario Williams are the best players in this draft, and i think Buffalo needs to take a serious look at these guys because they are going to be the future stars of this league.
  14. I would have to agree, that is how i would want it to be in la la land. How would this be for a d-line Mario Williams, Rocky Bernard, Triplett, Schobel. It sounds pretty damn good to me. The only thing i have a problem with is that we don't have to worry about Broderick Bunkley falling to us. We could even trade down and get him. Not trying to be an @$$ or anything but, you know how it is.
  15. I think the Bills should trade their whole draft for Terrell Owens. How is that for a realistic plan. Or better yet, we could trade up to the number 1 spot for Vince Young, and that would be the end of our offseason. HAHA Really though, i would love to see the Bills bring in Rocky Bernard and Jon Runyan. I think Runyan is more of a need player at this point, and is also kind of a reach, but a reach that is realistic. I think the guy out of the two who is more likely to signed is Bernard.
  16. I see the title of the thread as an indication that the creator of the thread wishes to draft a quarterback in the first round, and i think a lot of people see it that way also.
  17. His absence to the fans will be similar to that of how teams prepared their offense against him on the Bills defensive line... Coach: "Justin who?"
  18. This is a stupid thread question to begin with, let me start off by saying that. How many years will it take for some of you to realize that the draft is a crap shoot, and the majority of the players drafted in the first round end up being mediocre or bust. Year after year people sit here and talk about "how great this years draft class is". The perfect example is the "Year of the Quarterback" in 1999. That was supposed to be the best draft if you were looking for a QB, because "all of those prospects were going to have success in the NFL". Let's recap. The only decent quarterback that year was Donovan McNabb and with the absence of Terrell Owens, his credibility as a player has been highly questioned. The rest of the bums in that draft are screwing in lightbulbs with Rob Johnson and Ryan Leaf. The Top 10 picks in the last few drafts have been overall mediocre. Yes there are a few people that have had success, but there are many that are considered bust. 1999 1 Cleveland Tim Couch QB Kentucky 2 Philadelphia Donovan McNabb QB Syracuse 3 Cincinnati Akili Smith QB Oregon 4 Indianapolis Edgerrin James RB Miami 5 New Orleans Ricky Williams RB Texas 6 St. Louis Torry Holt WR North Carolina State 7 Washington Champ Bailey CB Georgia 8 Arizona David Boston WR Ohio State 9 Detroit Chris Claiborne OLB Southern California 10 Baltimore Chris McAlister CB Arizona 2000 1 Cleveland Courtney,Browns DE Penn State 2 Washington LaVar Arrington OLB Penn State 3 Washington Chris Samuels T Alabama 4 Cincinnati Peter Warrick WR Florida State 5 Baltimore Jamal Lewis RB Tennessee 6 Philadelphia Corey Simon DT Florida State 7 Arizona Thomas Jones RB Virginia 8 Pittsburgh Plaxico Burress WR Michigan State 9 Chicago Brian Urlacher MLB New Mexico 10 Baltimore Travis Taylor WR Florida 2001 1 Atlanta Michael Vick QB Virginia Tech 2 Arizona Leonard Davis T Texas 3 Cleveland Gerard Warren DT Florida 4 Cincinnati Justin Smith DE Missouri 5 San Diego LaDainian Tomlinson RB Texas Christian 6 New England Richard Seymour DE Georgia 7 San Francisco Andre Carter DE California 8 Chicago David Terrell WR Michigan 9 Seattle Koren Robinson WR North Carolina State 10 Green Bay Jamal Reynolds DE Florida State 2002 1 Houston David Carr QB Fresno State 2 Carolina Julius Peppers DE North Carolina 3 Detroit Joey Harrington QB Oregon 4 Buffalo Mike Williams T Texas 5 San Diego Quentin Jammer CB Texas 6 Kansas City Ryan Sims DT North Carolina 7 Minnesota Bryant McKinnie T Miami 8 Dallas Roy Williams FS Oklahoma 9 Jacksonville John Henderson DT Tennessee 10 Cincinnati Levi Jones T Arizona State All the others it is too soon to tell what the out come is. But year after year you buy into this draft hype thinking that some of these guys are going to change their teams fate as soon as they step on the football field. Year after year, the information is there and year after year we buy into these stories and hopes of success when really every draft class is pretty much the same from year to year. The bottom line is, the Bills need to trade down based on the information provided above. If you trade down, do your chances of not drafting a bust go up? Probably not, but atleast the cap hit isn't going to cripple your team for years to come (Example: Ryan Leaf in San Diego). I vote trade down with a team, pick up Bunkley and another pick so that we can rebuild this team and make it the way it was when the Bills had success.
  19. Andre Davis went to Niskayuna, and Anthony Weaver was a Saratgoa High player. Both lit it up in this area.
  20. Davis would be a huge improvement over Josh Reed. Not to be an !@#$, but his name is Andre Davis, not Andrea. Just an interesting little tip because there is a linebacker on the Browns named Andra Davis. Davis played at the high school just down the road from my high school so i have been following him ever since he was drafted, and i gotta tell ya, the guy has speed and he can make some great plays in the open field. SIGN ANDRE DAVIS!
  21. Because Tim Hortons has an early bird special this weekend.
  22. I think the first thing most people are forgetting is that the Jets have tried to/ want to/ or have, set up a private workout with Matt Leinart. Steve McNair is crazy about Vince Young and has some kind of spell on the people in Tennessee. (Example: The fact that he has been able to stay on the roster for a lot more money than he deserves. I forget the exact figure cause i am unsure if he renegotiated.) Culpepper want to go to a team that has a very good chance of winning, and more than likely that would be found in the NFC. Not to mention, he and Randy Moss weren't exactly the best of friends in Minnesota. Al Davis also loves the idea of a young quarterback with a strong arm, so if Cutler is there than he may take him. If he doesn't take Cutler, it will be more than likely he has signed Dante Culpepper. If Cutler or Young are still on the board it is important to remember that Detroit is behind the Bills at #9, and they need a quarterback. So that would mean that the best thing the Bills could do is trade down and get a guy like Broderick Bunkley or something that we need. The fact that there are people out there that think that we should draft a quarterback and forget about Losman have no idea how to build a football team, and more than likely know little about the game itself. For those out there that wish to get rid of Losman should seriously consider becoming a fan of one of the New York teams. All they do is B word about how they need a new quarterback or coach. You guys would fit right in.
