  1. Edmunds is the key. He can't keep being MIA. If that means lighting a fire under him by giving Dodson some snaps, so be it. Up to this point, McD has coddled Edmunds, who seems exempt from the "have to earn it" mantra for the rest of the team...
  2. Bad Josh started to reappear there for a while. It's a testament to his progress that he forced him back into his box and let Good Josh win the game...
  3. Edmunds took virtually every wrong read he could take. When he did fill the hole, he often missed the tackle. Watched him the whole second half as I was so pissed at how defenseless the Bills were with the run up the gut...
  4. The WR has the right to run his route in the first five yards. It was close, but the correct call. What WAS surprising is the flag was thrown, certainly depriving the Rams the win...
  5. Penalties were drive killers in the second half. Which makes it sweet that a Rams penalty allowed them to win...
  6. Ford at LG looked good. Gotta slide Feliciano into that RG slot...
  7. Bah, bah, Edmunds. Gameball, gameball Allen, Diggs, Kroft, Beasley, Motor...
  8. I think Perrera was correct, that it was illegal contact, not PI. The DB rode Davis 7 yards downfield.
  9. Edmunds was a tire fire today. The middle of the field was defenseless...
  10. Beautiful. Very FLW-ish. I'd like to see the art studio...
  11. My father in law was a reporter at the C-E when it closed. Luckily, he was able to go over the the 'dark side' (Buffalo News) and continue a long, successful career as a "newsman" (what a quaint term, given how the media today makes as much news as reports it)...
  12. Stats are for losers. They don't give you context about how a play unfolds, obstacles overcome or competitive situation at critical points in time. For example, the drive Josh led following Miami's go ahead score in Q3 to make it 20-17: First play--47 yard completion to Diggs Second play--7 yard completion to Moss Third play--10 yard penalty on Morse Fourth play--Allen sacked for 4 yard loss Fifth play--24 yard completion to Beasley Sixth play--Singletary up the middle for 10 yards Seventh play--Singletary up the middle for 2 yards Eighth play--pass incomplete to Beasley Ninth play--TOUCHDOWN to Gabe Davis The stat line says Allen was 4-5 for a net 80 yards and a TD. That's clearly good. But even better--and the most impressive thing about Josh on that drive--is that (1) he made a statement throw on the very first play of the drive, (2) he overcame a third and 24 with a great read on the Beasley toss, and (3) he put the TD in the only place it could be thrown and trusted his WR. Those are all things that stats freaks like FiveThirtyEight or PFF can't evaluate by just looking at the game log. And why these kind of analyses miss the point of the human element so often...
  13. Baltimore sure looks good by that REM SOS ranking. Barring injury, they're pretty set up to ...go...all...the...way...
  14. Funny. But it was a traffic accident, not the hurricane, that caused it... https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/sharks-on-power-lines-hurricane/
  15. Two words of caution: Jets. Dolphins.... Watching these first two weeks, there is a HUGE drop off in quality between the Haves and the Have Nots. Let's write this blub after we've done it against a Have...
  16. Fitz facial hair growth is directly proportional to his fecundity (he's up to 7 kids now)...
  17. And the national media this morning (MMQB, FBIA)? Crickets chirping. I get that bigger media markets draw more eyballs to sites and drive advertising. But it's just downright embarassing the way they seem to be studiously avoiding talking about the Bills first two games...
  18. I thought for sure it would be a run fake and an easy Eddleman TD catch. Woosh....
