  1. Most people B'n and M'n about it were probably taking a piss or getting a beer during the anthem anyway...
  2. Could it be that Baker was so tired from covering up all the FirstEnergy seats from the rain that he had nothing left on Sunday? I mean, give the poor guy a break...
  3. Running game will get a workout. But just because they have three good DBs, it doesn't mean we can't exploit the pass. This is a new Bills team. We have 4 viable WRs, a TE and RBs who can all contribute in the passing game. The Phins can't cover everyone...
  4. He missed one game in 2019 (week 7 against Miami). He probably could have played, but they didn't need him. "He was able to log limited practices all week, but Buffalo has decided to err on the side of caution this week." https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2019/10/20/20923332/buffalo-bills-week-7-inactives-taron-johnson-tyler-kroft-john-brown-robert-foster-devin-singletary
  5. ...about how people watch a game. Darnold had no pocket to step up into throughout the game. His eyes were often on the pass rush rather than downfield (unlike Allen). That's a damn effective way to reduce any QBs effectiveness, let alone one susceptible to seeing ghosts...
  6. Good players develop with good teams and good coaching. Good players don't develop with bad teams and bad coaching. It's as simple as that. And there's a long list of failed Bills QBs that fit that mold as well...
  7. This aspect of Josh's personality is starting to get talked about around the league. The CBS studio analysts said something to that affect yesterday (about his attitude / love of the game) and were very positive about it... As I read it, Diggs "beef" (if you can call it that) with Cousins was that he was "Captain Checkdown" and didn't throw the long ball enough. He's in the perfect spot now with Josh and the Bills...
  8. Can't rationalize this. Josh knows he has a fumbling problem, but continues to not secure the ball well enough. His ball security was suspect a couple of more times in the second half, but he didn't fumble, so no harm-no foul. But he has to do a better job or it will cost his team at some point...
  9. Nope. They just need to keep working together as a group and develop better continuity. And play calling that repeatedly sends Motor up the middle, rather than putting him in space to use his ellusiveness, might be something Dabol should revisit...
  10. A solid B. The fumbles were unacceptable, as was not stopping and setting his feet on the Brown TD miss. Lots of things to contine working on. OTOH, many good things too, like better patience in the pocket and distributing the ball to all his receivers...
  11. Agreed. He got rocked today and teams are going to punish him all season. Same with Brown, who's also a smurf. Gotta keep these guys healthy....
  12. IDK, he does a great job in pass pro but I've seen many an OC run right at him. Until his gap control and tackling improve, he's not yet in the "game plan away from him" category, IMO...
  13. It was sunny and warm that day. Rain, wind and first game jitters all worry me...
  14. Nothing like today's weather, or with the pressure sky high, though...
  15. ...and hope it doesn't come down to Tyler Bass in his first introduction to Bills Stadium.
  16. Just got an email from the Bills about this... https://www.buffalobills.com/news/breakfast-with-the-bills-virtual-tailgate-offers-new-way-to-kick-off-game-days
  17. Raining cats and dogs right now. I hope the field is not slippery or too windy...
  18. IMO, Josh needs to continue developing three things: 1. He's still a "see it, throw it" QB. IMO, a lot of his accuracy problems arrise from "seeing it late" and not being properly balanced when throwing. He needs to become more comfortable with being a "throw it on time and trust your receiver to be there" QB. 2. Get a louder mental alarm clock when standing in the pocket. Drop back, 3...2...ball out. 3. Keep working on refining his natural "hero ball" tendencies. Don't eliminate that aspect of his game, but better understand the tactical situation and when to "go" versus "no go."
