  1. I was thinking they were maybe an 8-8 team before EJ went down. If he's out for a while, that's gonna REALLY hurt, no matter how well the D plays. If whoever plays QB can't beat the stacked box, Fred and CJ are going to get killed. The D will likely be under even MORE pressure than they already have been. Hopefully the coaching staff can creatively adapt the offense to a new QB for a while...
  2. Can Fred run the wildcat for the final drive?
  3. I would love to see a stat on how the Bills compare injury-wise to every other team. On second thought, no I wouldn't. As Ralphie's father said..."Fra-gi-le".
  4. What happened to the blitzes? We're making Weeden look like Peyton Manning.
  5. Let's hope Marrone's success against Geno from college continues into the pros. Big test for our rookie against a good defense in his first road game. Go Bills!
  6. Yes, they do. And they smell like....victory...
  7. Didn't see the game, but followed the play-by-play on cbssports.com. Never so happy to hear that little kid voice say "TOUCHDOWN!" Nice job, Bills! Now let's go win one on the road!
  8. Glad you're not coaching the team.
  9. We draft some seriously dumb guys.
  10. Good for Mario. Earning that paycheck!
  11. 1) Some perspective on the word "culture"-- From Wikipedia: "Organizational culture is the behavior of humans who are part of an organization and the meanings that the people attach to their actions. Culture includes the organization values, visions, norms, working language, systems, symbols, beliefs and habits. It is also the pattern of such collective behaviors and assumptions that are taught to new organizational members as a way of perceiving, and even thinking and feeling." Does anyone REALLY believe the people in the organization value failure? Do you believe they have visions of building a losing team? Do you believe Doug Marrone is attempting to instill habits conducive to losing? Neither do I. A culture of failure would be evident by not trying to do something different. Dick Jauron would still be the head coach. JP Losman would still be our starting QB. Doug Marrone would start off his pre-game speeches with "Well, guys, we're probably going to lose today, but go out there and make a good showing". People throw around the word "culture" like it's something that is locked in the closet in Russ Brandon's office. "History of mediocre results" is factually accurate; "Culture of failure" is the author's opinion. 2) Gleason's job is to write articles to generate revenue and internet eyeballs to the Buffalo News. Preaching patience and hope doesn't sell. Provocation sells. Communicating in extremes sells. And we react to provocative things because we either share the belief, or we disagree strongly with the belief and are afraid other people will be influenced, weakening our position. Think for yourself. Trust your own eyes. GO BILLS!!!
  12. I wish you and your family all the very best.
  13. Welker...Amendola...Edelman....doesn't matter.
  14. How does the process for signing UDFAs work? Was there any indication that teams were fighting over signing Rogers? The Bills can't be the only team to recognize his talent and be willing to deal with his off-field issues. I'm just curious about the mechanics of how he ended up with us. Thanks.
  15. "The Buffalo Bills....Three yards and a cloud of methane." or "The Buffalo Sabres of the NFL".
  16. It's a culture of mediocrity. A critical evaluation of the how the organization thinks about traditions, its mission, engagement of people at all levels, recognition, and education/training is where to start. And, unfortunately, a 94 year old, out of touch owner probably isn't the cornerstone of a vibrant, forward-looking football team. I get the sense there's no real vision there, and it trickles all the way down through the front office to the sideline and onto the field.
