  1. I wonder if McShay says that about the 10th spot because it is harder to grade players in that area. Realistically, there are probably 4 to 6 players every year that are the top of the draft class. After that, it gets muddy and more difficult to rank. Personally, I couldn't tell the difference between a #10 and a #15. For me it only becomes apparent 3 years after the draft.
  2. I wish McNabb the best.
  3. I would feel the same way if he was an obnoxious atheist, or was vocal about the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I think that stuff should be more private than public. The guy finds a camera just to tebow in front of. Obnoxious.
  4. Don't forget the opportunity to provide more exposure to his obnoxious religious zealotry and the opportunity to witness in front of a bigger market.
  5. I agree that Spiller should be on the field for 3rd downs. I think it was the blitz pickup that they were worried about. However, you've got to get Spiller some experience with that.
  6. I've been trying to keep an open mind about Walker. Yes, the Bills have been historically bad, and yes, a SB team in your division should get plenty of attention, but I think his Bills coverage is a friggin joke. Lots of the old, good posters here have stopped posting. Lori, RR, etc. Probably for many reasons, but maybe they'll come back as the team gets better and some of the miserable folks have less to complain about. We can hope.
  7. I started a similar thread a month or two ago. Yeah, it was hilarious. There's lots of people here who apparently who have access to the coach's tape and missed their calling as GM / Scout, and are working in a machine shop instead. Unfortunate, because if the Bills would just follow their direction (ignoring their grammar of course), the Bills would be in the SB 5 years running.
  8. The miserable !@#$s on this board must be speechless.
  9. I'm sure Matthews is a nice guy, but his sports writing is awful. I'm with you 100%.
  10. That's a huge number of picks for one guy. I don't care who you are, that's crazy. You essentially screw yourself for years because your top level rookie talent is gone for years, and you don't have anyone to develop. They you must rely on operpaying in FA. the redskins have proven they suck at FA. Look at how far back the Bledsoe trade and the Mike Williams pick put us.
  11. Jeez. Every post by Toshiero is absolutely miserable. Someone put him on a suicide watch.
  12. Travis Henry is no longer on the team, PTR.
  13. Bah. Anyone who has played contact sports knows you don't try to purposefully hurt someone. There's a difference between physical and trying to cause damage. People who don't see that are idiots. Don't be one of those idiots. This IS a big deal. It is horrible. How you can not call it a big deal is beyond me.
  14. Sure. Not sure what "by definition" you are talking about, but in terms of scouting I'm sure I know next to nothing about them. I enjoy watching the Bills. Ask me to deconstruct a pass play to see if a route was run properly, and I'd probably give you a blank stare. Not to mention the invalid comparison, which is a debating trick. Comparing knowing about the Bills to hundreds and hundreds of college players probably isn't an apples to apples deal. Sorry if I insulted anyone, but I stand by my belief that most fans know next to nothing about scouting players, and are unable to do so. Most of the opinions they form about the draft are regurgitations.
  15. How much coaches film do you watch? My guess is you don't have access to it. And my guess is that while people like to think they have a clue, they probably don't. Don't get me wrong, hobbies are good, but it's only a hobby, and people have day jobs so it is a part time hobby.
  16. I suppose, but some crappy video on Youtube doesn't give you the same exposure scouts get. And I really don't think fans really know the difference between a guy with a good "first step" vs. a guy with a very good "first step". Fans are fooling themselves if they think they know how to evaluate players and actually know a damn thing they are looking at. A fun hobby, I suppose, but I can think of many more productive and enjoyable things to do with my time. But that's just me.
  17. Love it. That is exactly why I ignore the draft until draft day. Fans who think they have enough knowledge to even have an opinion are hilarious. Pretty much everything a draft fan says is a regurgitation of some draft "guru's" opinion.
  18. Booo! What other WR schooled Revis?
  19. Yes, because Nix can't do two things at once. Only one thing at a time or it is stupid! Yay you!
  20. Sunk costs. You don't make decisions based on sunk costs, only future potential. Classic blunder.
  21. People LOVE to forget that Lynch was one screwup away from a year-long suspension, and given his stupidity it looked likely he'd screw up his career. He was a complete moron off the field, and not worth the risk when the team had FJ and just drafted Spiller. Excellent trade on the Bills part. There can't be a single competent person on this board who would feel otherwise.
  22. Yes. You've been around here in the offseason before! We should make a template for people to use to avoid the typing. "XXXX was released and I recognize his name. Wouldn't he look great in a Bills uniform?"
  23. We won't get anything for POZ. We replaced him with a FA who preformed similarly.
  24. I hate Tom Brady, but he's right. I've stayed in a number of Buffalo hotels, and there's really nothing special there. Everything is run down, ugly, and old. The Adam's mark, which is supposedly nice, is barely a 3 star hotel. I'd say 2 1/2. The nicest hotel in the area that I've stayed in is the Roycroft Inn, and while that is cool and historic, it isn't anything close to luxury. I actually can't think of a true "luxury" hotel in Buffalo. I hate to agree with the bastard, but Buffalo hotels in general suck.
