  1. You mean the play where the Cheatriot was hugging him in front of the refs, but they ignored it? The only real answer to the question is, "Which time was that? There were multiple." I just don't understand how the Cheatriots get away with cheating and the Bills don't.
  2. Maybe, but you could say the same thing about Byrd and Gilmore.
  3. Seems about right to me for now. As a team that hasn't really won much in a decade+, with a new scheme and coaches and upper management, how could they be ranked higher? As soon as the Bills actually do something, they will be ranked higher.
  4. Maybe he injured his groin on a date.
  5. OMG - why do people want to pick him up? He's a crappy quarterback. We already cut two of those, so we don't need him.
  6. In. That picture is a little slice of heaven on a crappy day. Thanks Jay!
  7. Our punter is not a rookie.
  8. What a dumbass. Moronic drug laws aside, he knows the rules and shouldn't break them. Yes, I understand it should be legal and agree, but is it worth ruining a career over? The answer is no.
  9. Possibly, but I'd need to reschedule some work shizzle.
  10. Don't think he's been there yet this year. But he's my favorite golfer. He's no d-bag like tiger.
  11. Unless it is a grade-1 tear, he'll be back by the last preseason game at the latest. My wife just injured her hammy while running a Duathlon. If it isn't a severe tear, rest is the best remedy. Hers is a medium severity one, and will not be running for 3 - 4 weeks. With all the technology the pros have available to them, Stevie might even heal quicker. BTW - my wife still finished 1st in her age group because she is tough as hell.
  12. Blast from the past. Makes me shudder! I still remember Chairns or whatever his name was from the newsgroup days. I'm kinda old.
  13. It is exactly the same as naming a team something like, "The Washington Darkies", or "The Washington Blacks", or even "The Washington Negroes" There was a time when Negro was an acceptable term - around the same time the team was named "Redskins." Times change, society becomes more sophisticated (mostly), and we realize the errors of our ways. Changing the name of the team doesn't mean we forget about heritage or history, but it is a representation of how society has improved. We don't denigrate groups of people any more the way we used to when racism and bigotry were more accepted, and that is a good thing.
  14. OMG hilarious, especially if he is anywhere near the QB position.
  15. Whatever it is, we shouldn't speculate. Whatever it is, we should hope for his speedy recovery. Not many players have done more for buffalo post- career than Jimbo. Not only that, he was an awesome QB. So enough of the pessimistic speculation about drinking, etc. Good thoughts, please!
  16. "I'm on a boat!"
  17. Imagine that, Norris the zealot supporting Tebow. Gee, never saw that coming.
  18. Very upbeat - especially from him. I still think he's an arrogant d-bag and an awful "journalist." I understand that it is probably impossible for ESPN to find someone the caliber of Tim Graham, and having to replace someone as good as Tim is difficult, but please. How does Walker have a job?
  19. +1. They grade drafts on how self-validating they are.
  20. However, the draft only lists straight value. It doesn't consider pluses and minuses of particular drafts. For example, this draft wasn't very top heavy, and the 2nd round is said to be one of the deepest in years. So add that to the mix and that extra 2nd is great.
  21. Honestly? Nothing. I'll probably be hitting golf balls or doing yard work or walking the dog. I'm interested in who the Bills get, but I don't really understand the fanfare around it and what makes the draft into an "event" for fans. I don't pay much attention to it, other than who Bills pick. When the Bills make their picks, that's when I become interested in players. So I probably won't be interested until next week. In my opinion, no fans (with a few notable exceptions on TSW) can really evaluate players. Most fan's opinions are based on stuff they regurgitate from reading articles on the internet, and they probably haven't seen the players they are talking about on the field for more than a few youtube clips. And that's kind of silly. Seriously, who has the time to dissect film (and actually understand what you are seeing) on 10 players, let alone 100 or 300? Not anyone with a social life and a job. But hey, I'm all for it if people enjoy it. Maybe I'm an idiot and just don't get it -- which is a distinct possibility.
  22. Thanks. This is her 4th Boston marathon and the first I didn't go to with her. God, I wish I was there with her, but she's safe with good friends in a hotel on the outskirts of Boston. Yes, she ran a 3:28:58. I married a fast woman.
  23. My wife was there. Luckily she finished 30 minutes before the explosions, but heard them. I will personally remove the shriveled nutsack with a butter knife of the coward / cowards that did this. My wife is Wendy, and she's mentioned in this article on the blast: http://www.democratandchronicle.com/article/20130415/NEWS01/304150052/Runner-Explosions-sounded-like-cannons-?odyssey=mod|breaking|text|Home
  24. A few questions: 1. Why would we trade a pick for a special teams player, esp. to a division rival, and esp considering he'll be released anyway? 2. He is a really, really, really bad QB, but some not-so-bright Bills fans will still ask for him to play QB, creating a controversy of idiocy. Is that really desirable? 3. There's a guy - CMac, that already does this better than Tebow, and could come back cheaper. Why choose Tebow over a guy that does it better? 4. Just because Tebow is a really good guy, is it worth it? And an answer: 1. No, we shouldn't do it. Great guy, bad football player, distraction to a young team.
