ok, thanks. will i miss any games (like local games, or games on espn or whatever)? if it won't get me all the games (for the most part) then it isn't worth it to me.

Sean McDermott excited about calling the Defense
colin replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
he did it once that was disclosed publicly. I think he did it a few times. the wind game in 2021 hosting NE (thursday night, monday? it was prime time). i remember the camera being close to our players and coach on the sidelines, and mcd looked like he was screaming and telling guys what they needed to do (after missed gaps lead to a longish touchdown). after that the d stiffened up some and we had a shot late in the game. i think he's done it a few times and what's more i think it lead to pretty immediate positive results. -
So my question is -- can i get the sunday ticket and no other youtube tv stuff? if so, will i get all of the nfl games? Thanks

i remember that draft, that story, and all of it. we passed on wilfork as well, who thought he'd be a bill. and we went out and drafted lee evans, who was good, but just obliterated that by trading the pick that drafted aaron rogers to get jp losmon (and another pick too!). we are the organization who traded away the picks for mahommes and rogers, 4 of the past 5 years MVPs and multiple super bowl winners. lol
-
ok, so what was your prior account, air seven, one of the other trolls? the bills wr class was so great we brought in brown and bease off the couch, now i know you have a crack habit! you also just context switching here, like TE and RB and OL (representing the majority of the players on the field on nearly all offensive snaps) don't count. i'll stop feeding this troll, lol.

the simplest way to look at an allen vs mahomes comparison is see what happened in the two games in the playoffs recently where mahomes went down. vs the browns in 2021 (post 2020 season, we got kinda trucked by KC at KC in that playoffs) mahomes goes down and his back up, a career back up, just held the team together well enough to win, and the kc d stepped up too. vz jax in the most recent play offs, same back up no body qb comes in and kc just marches down the field w small play after small play setting up a slam dunk red zone score from inside the 5 or 10. if you put that back up qb on the bills for one drive in a playoff game, he's getting sacked, fumbling, and possibly injured. our roster at that point of both of those years was pure cheeks compared to KCs, especially on O. our clown squad on OL couldn't sustain a double digit play drive without any penalties killing it, nor avoid big protection mistakes over and over. our "weapons" were ball dropper davis, diggs who is great but would just be double covered, and knox. in 2021 when the OL for KC got hurt to the point where they were fielding the same kinda trash we had in either of those years, mahomes couldn't make the plays that josh makes happen and looked lost.

are those numbers real? that is an insane bunch of stats right there. taylor mays stats (which got him drafted in the 2nd round even tho he basically couldn't play safety.
-
he didn't let his pal and ass't head coach frazier walk to call the exact same plays. He is feeling pressure (could be from up top, could be from himself) and is going to apply that pressure to the whole organization. given we are minus edmunds and plus tre, hyde, poyers leg, and von, i think we are a stronger D than we were last year.

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
colin replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
if we can improve at OT and get hopkins, our O would look like a race car compared to a sports sedan last year. upgrade in the slot, insane upgrade at outside WR, way more height, way more speed (given our two prior signing), much improved pass blocking (just losing saffold is enough for that!) knox starts to become an after thought for Ds, and we have some RBs who can catch passes. I legit think we break scoring records with that team. -
that would be a big get, kinda risky cuz you really need that pick to work out, but you also get a potential difference maker at a low salary for a while. the rook vs oliver cost might make room for another move too.
-
for either a long term deal on a Solid LT (mayyyyyyybe an RT if the guy is just sick) or a high quality WR type threat, i'd trade oliver and a pick, but at that point oliver is just getting traded to get his salary off to make room for new guy. on balance i wonder if our FO regrets that we extended him? I have to think the don't mind him for 1 more year at 10 sticks. hes got a high profile being a top 10 pick on a top team, so he has all the reason to go get 10 sacks and get paid this year.
-
part of what makes these numbers what they are is how teams spend draft picks. CB is a position of need almost all the time for teams (since it requires skill and speed that can't be taught) and they have a history of performing at a starting level out the gate in the NFL, so that's a big value (save a salary) DL is just a big need, especially pass rusher. they are super hard to get as a free agent, so if you want one, you gotta draft him. the above leads to these position to be more likely to be drafted in the 1st. the 5th year option also has extra value for the reasons above. for IOL, it was always a rule you don't spend a first on a guard, i think it leaves the chance to get truly better guards in the first round if other teams don't want to spend, likewise, people over drafting DL makes it less likely you get a good one later. WR im not sure on, but i feel like it's a total crap shoot.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
colin replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
i dont' think it's that simple. grant hill got a max contract in the nba long ago "representing himself" but he had some legal reps who did contracts for him and get him some pretty straight forward information (a max contract does make it simple tho). I'd expect tunsil et al to have had legal reps (obv) and some accountant service or financial adviser who basically gave them expertise on the contracts and they just played the poker to get the contract they wanted. im not saying i know who is involved w jackson, but i do think there are different levels to repping one's self. -
the one thing i notice about this guy is he is huge for an inside wr. just like twice the size of that other guy we got.

The Cincy game & its affect on how we view the team
colin replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
the team that played that game were losers on that day, before they got to the stadium. just a spent force or an organization. i will say, saffold, frazier and potentially (but i kinda fade it) edmunds being gone along w miller, hyde, and our new OG being on the team (and of course an upgrade on DC) might be enough to change the game (also poyer maybe having two working legs). the one thing that stood out in that game is we had 3 dogs on the field who did not accept the loss as it happened. Milano, Diggs, and Allen. the rest of the team was swept up, and abject losers like Saffold and frazier just found ways to be net negatives. -
Bobby Wagner - the solution to the Edmunds problem
colin replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
i hear you on allen and the O, but even if we don't get a free agent MLB to start, our D is minus edmunds and plus a healthy hyde, poyer, tre, and miller. it's better than what we had lest year anyhow. -
diggs, hop, davis, knox, cook and a passable NFL Oline W allen driving the bus is literally unstoppable. If we had that as our O team, i'd legit expect to break NLF yardage and scoring records. we already have insane results like no punting for several games in a row, insane 3rd down conversions, avg yards per drive, etc, and that's w allen and a rag tag line and diggs alone. if we draft another TE, i could see us having hopkins, rook TE, diggs, knox, and cook/hines lined up facing a nickel D w two deep safeties, just out of fear of the passing game, which would set up some really really light boxes vs 7 blockers. imagine an allen lead RPO out of that? also, as guys get hurt and dinged up, it's good to have extra guys to put in.
-
if this guy is a good moving and pass blocker and plays really penalty free, i feel like that will help brown (after back surgery recovery and such) a lot. brown looked way better his rookie year than year 2, which tells me his injury was a problem. if he can make that next step and w conner mac beside him, we might actually have a comfortable allen in the pocket, which is game over for opposing Ds
-
i don't even think he's top 10 in performance at his position (and you could argue he and milano have interchangeable roles, and matt is better). he has a ton of potential, and was the captain in a great (regular season, statistical) D. he's just not a playmaker
-
as free agent contracts, we signed von, dquon, milano, poyer and hyde (first contracts) and even tre white for less than that. i know i know, inflation makes the numbers bigger today, but all of those players had a bigger positive impact on our D than edmunds is (altho edmunds plays a million snaps) that's a good no sign
-
i remember when shaq lawson and jordan phillips signed away for big contracts, came back at minimum. i think we are gonna see similar for edmunds. i think he will do well his first year, but i think he's not at the steophon gilmore level.
-
if he can be a quality starter, and could slide into C if need be, then all we'd need to do as add an OT to either force dawkins inside or compete w brown, and we are gold on the line. after that, we can spam picks on D and whatever after securing some targets for allen (JJ as a trade would be great). JJ as a trade, we could draft S and MLB and have a flat D and up O, i think that is a winner.
-
multi position ability and 13 out of 64 (or so) ranked pass blocking is a good value for 8 per year considering saffold (how on earth did he make the pro bowl?) who wiffed on a score costing mistake vs cinci was getting 6.5 hope it works out, and it lines us up to put money into WR (JJ from denver?) and draft maybe OT and D needs.

Like a fumbled ball, when you got blocked out of your hole, a near saaaaaaack, but you just couldn't hoooooooold,
