Harvin has been a head case both literally and figuratively his entire career. That probably won't change suddenly now that he's coming to Buffalo, but I think the return game upside coupled with his big strike capability made a one year deal a worthwhile risk.

I like it a lot. Whereas Meh is an immobile game manager, and EJ a tentative check down, Tyrod is a gamer. He'll run hard, take shots, fight to make plays...he's got a real chance to be our guy if he can get the mental part of the game down, and after 4 years behind Flacco he should be seeing the game pretty well.

Rex didn't know about the depth of Fred love yet, and Whaley's guy is Brown, so the leak to Graham may have been a trial balloon to see how the fans would react IF they ever decided to go down that path. When the balloon was viciously destroyed by an angry mob, they quickly denied everything and swore their allegiance to Buffalo's most popular sports figure in a generation. In other words, they got burned by their own bunch of hot air.

Well, he's Meh Cassel not Tom Brady. One would expect there to be a competition for starting QB. I'm sure Cassel is the slight favorite over EJ, but hardly a lock. If we sign Tryod Taylor or draft a QB there will be a 3rd in the mix. Remember when Seattle signed Matt Flynn and he was beaten out by an undersized 3rd round pick named Russell Wilson? Our QB situation is still very fluid.

I know local TV news has marginalized their sports coverage to about 45 seconds of local activities, but to remove it altogether is still shocking. Immobile, mediocre QB flunks physical with a bum foot? If EJ can't beat him out cut him. I know not making mistakes is important, but you still need the QB to make some plays. We saw the Orton limitations last year, and this is starting to sound like a rerun.

As Cassell goes so will go the Bills. We can only go so far with grest defense and running. We need to have quality play at the most important position. Let's hope he is an improvement over last year's mess, because if he is the rest of the pieces are in the puzzle.
