  1. That's because government doesn't have enough responsibility for the day to day lives of ordinary people. If we just gave it a LITTLE more control, certainly the bad apples will go away rather than get swept higher & everything will be dreamy. BTTOP, surprised misconduct is only involved in a bit over 1/2 of wrongful convictions; would've guessed a bit higher on that. With only 2,400 cases total (that are known) would've expected more like 75-80%.
  2. But babies/infants that haven't yet had vaccinations have the lowest mortality rates of all from this virus. They are extremely vulnerable to other viruses, but not this one. A very good question is: why?
  3. Really wish he wouldn't be talking about these additional peace deals until they've actually been hammered out. Still expect to see them happen, but if they don't (and especially if KSA doesn't happen); he now gives his detractors a win when they shouldn't have gotten anything as status quo should be neutral.
  4. I realize there won't be people from out of town like Rich up for the game, but was wondering if anybody was planning on heading over to Nick's today. Bueller, Bueller, anyone?
  5. Where in the world did they get the idea that stuff like this HELPS Biden?
  6. Hedge already proved you wrong, and you've already proved yourself vile w/ the original discussion. That you have a poor memory & don't know how to navigate a search is not OUR problem.
  7. That IS your original post. You followed up with several that didn't make yourself look any better IMHO, which may be what you're thinking of. But that post absolutely IS your and it was NOT edited, so it is the original that you posted. So, are you lying about that not being your post or is there a reason you seem as confused as Joe Biden on one of his better days? Hoping you are well.
  8. Umm, if you follow the link back to YOUR post that Hedge provided, you will see that post was never edited. BUT, maybe there's a software glitch on this board causing vile posts to self edit themselves and not appear to have been edited. Might want to talk to a lawyer about that; could be mondo-lucrative as this must be happening on all message boards using that same software. You go, Jack.
  9. Dayum, seems like the former SCO has a serious class action suit against Apple brewing. If the software is so suspect as to cause that many phones from a single office to self-wipe, this must have happened to millions of other I-phone users. Might want to sell your Apple stock now before the stock crashes after the suit is filed. Maybe Section 8 could offer his services to them. He might even get to sit 2nd Chair on this one if he plays his cards right. Cool beans.
  10. Says the guy who openly admits to wanting this place razed. Obviously, that isn't quite the full story or DR wouldn't have been banned for a month earlier this summer.
  11. Not what was said. But your response which intentionally removes any nuance from a position you disagree with is your standard MO. Really don't have the time nor inclination to continue playing your petty games.
  12. And which is more likely: a guy that can't stand 45 knowing a negative story about him is false keeping his mouth shut allowing the story to fester and therefore hurt 45 in the eyes of low capacity for logic voters; or a guy that can't stand 45 knowing a negative story about him is true keeping his mouth shut preventing the story from gaining momentum and therefore hurting 45 moreso? Why ever might General Kelly want to sit this one out? Hmmmm...
  13. If your campaign strategy is to "ballot harvest" via mail in ballots enough votes in swing states to sneak out the win, why waste money on campaign offices that could be better spent on lawyers? Just need to make sure the postmarks are correct. Don't need a bunch of actual satellite offices to make that happen.
  14. Always figured it was because few self respecting liberals want to be associated with posters like you and Tibs taking up their causes.
  15. The "ignore list manifesto" was directed towards taking away reactions to sock puppets, not to taking away liberals viewpoints. By getting sock puppets to go away, the discussion here improves. Everybody but the sock puppets win. And by freeing their time up, maybe even the sock puppets win. If you feel so strongly that PPP detracts from TBD, there is a very simple way for you to avoid the detraction/ annoyance: don't go to the PPP forum. Just because YOU don't like something doesn't mean that it shouldn't exist (provided it isn't illegal nor immoral; and regardless how you stretch the definitions, this place is neither); it just means YOU shouldn't partake in it. You've provided a lot of good info in the COVID thread & it is appreciated, but if this place bothers you so much, then stop posting there. Would prefer you continue to post there, but it's your call, and the thread won't shut down just because you don't continue fulfilling your apparent duty (for lack of a better word). Pretty sure the purpose of this thread was to get community ideas towards how to thwart the sock puppets (and your) wishes & keep this place from getting shutdown. Perhaps if you didn't profess you want the place shutdown, the people that believe you should be on the ignore list wouldn't've had you there.
  16. Where has anybody stated they want this place to be an echo chamber? Interesting that the guy that wants this forum shut down presumably so that any form of political discussion on this website happens in a forum when there is a heavy liberal moderator presence (because those forums are what would remain available) some of whom will silence those they don't agree with implies others want an echo chamber.
  17. If going strictly w/ house keeper/ butler types would go with Benson, but Hirsch from WKRP deserv3s mention. He thwarted Mother Carlson almost as well as Benson put Chester Tate in his place. But, overall, yeah Jeannie probably takes it.
  18. Would fully expect them to come to that same conclusion. The protests were "mostly peaceful" after all AND the protesters had very 'little interactions with the locals.' The locals' property on the other hand ...
  19. Well, sure, he did all that, BUT can you show us where he criticized him. Which apparently would've been a far harsher rebuke. After decades of watching D's in action, we've learned that words are FAR more important than actions.
  20. Calling BS on this one. 3 months of protests cause ZERO spread of the virus per our political class and these researchers (per the article) but the Sturgis Rally infected ~1/4 of a million people? All because ~150 people from near Sturgis tested positive for it? Something doesn't add up.
