  1. Wait. You mean li'l Opie Cunningham is WHITE? Gumby & the rest of us are all in shock. SHOCK we tell ya.
  2. Taking a page from the old Dolphins' playbook with the "Killer B's?" Bernie, Barack, Bill, and B****.
  3. Alf, any count on how many of those 45 EO's were rescinding 44's EO's? Pretty sure that's a significant amount of them.
  4. Wasn't that the escape route Alec Baldwin was developing to FINALLY be able to sneak out of this country (like he promised us he would do) should 45 get another 4 year term in office. Boy, will he ever be ticked at the German contractors that built it for him. Heard they'd told him nobody'd be able to detect it because the US entrance appeared to be an industrial laundry. (Tibs probably was the dolt that tipped the authorities off; guess he's been partially doxxed.)
  5. Well, sure, AOC saved innumerable lives by keeping Amazon out of the epicenter of the virus in this country. Every potential Amazon employee for that never built facility, especially those with preexisting conditions or elderly parents that would've moved with them, are (still) breathing huge sighs of relief. (Unlike a few 1,000 of her former constituents who sadly no longer breathe at all anymore.) Not sure how you figure the other 2 netted out any saved lives.
  6. Would've thought Benito Cuomo has a better ring to it & Andy himself would probably prefer it because it is not a nickname like Il Duce & not a diminutive like Bennie or L'il Ben are. Gotta throw the nursing home czar a bone or 2, right?
  7. And considering how a test got Hunter drummed out of the Navy, there's a reason for him to be opposed to cocaine tests. Not sure what that has to do with a cognitive test ...
  8. Probably more than that were nursing home residents. Per Andy Cuomo's directive, in late April NYS stopped counting nursing home resident deaths as nursing home deaths if the resident died elsewhere from/with COVID-19. That nearly certainly has led to an undercounting since the directive took effect.
  9. Cool. And yet somehow the castaways with Gilligan, one of whom could make radio batteries and cars out of coconuts & bamboo, never could figure out how to do that themselves. Sad.
  10. Sorry for delay in posting this, just saw your post now. Pretty sure that Sweden admits they should've done a better job protecting their elderly and they should've locked those high risk individuals down. But they could've done that better while leaving the rest of the nation open. Doubt those other countries end up at Sweden's death rate, but do expect they'll be far closer to it when all is said & done. And expect that for future pandemics the Sweden model with some tweaks to better protectively quarantine the elderly will be the model to follow.
  11. It's almost as if each of the sports leagues are watching what the others have done and, much like how NYC followed Italy's (failed) model, none of them are noticing that the others are IMHO getting it wrong but plowing ahead regardless. "We skate for black lives." Could they possibly come up with a more pandering motto? Politically, right now, they're each afraid of the consequences of not "showing support." But they can express support without bashing people over the head with it. And IMHO the majority of all the audiences want to watch sports to get away from reality for a few hours and pretend that whether Columbus beats Toronto matters in the grand scheme of things. It doesn't but at least what's going on inside the glass is "normal." (What could be more normal than TO choking in the playoffs. ) Yes, the virus is still with us. Yes, too much of the country is still shut down for many to get back to normal. Yes, we're still waiting for politicians to decide whether the kids can go back to school. Yes, Portland and other cities are getting ravaged every night. Wherever we go, masks and fear are prevalent. We need to stay vigilant to keep from allowing hatred to step into the chaos and lead. There are many that want hate to lead. Having a bit of normalcy would help with keeping the fear and hatred at bay, again IMHO. Celebrate the good things that have & are happening both with regards to this virus and race/interpersonal relations. There's 21 other hours in the day to have the negatives highlighted. We don't need it 24/7. (Stated way less eloquently than desired. Just don't have the time to flesh it out better. Oh, well.)
  12. It definitely was Super Duper that gave out the racing cards. We never won 1 single time. We even had EVERY horse BUT 1 one time. Guess which 1 won? Still it was fun to watch.
  13. Wifey made a good point. IF Biden wins, it doesn't go away in November, it goes away in early February so he can claim he "fixed it."
  14. Which of those 2 rights are protected by the FIRST Amendment? Oh, they both are? Holy cow, you may be an intelligent person in real life, but you sure do love to play an idiot on the internet.
  15. So, now shaming is good? Thought you libs opposed that. What if the non-mask wearer has an underlying condition that precludes them from wearing a mask? Do you find out 1st before you scornfully gaze upon them?
  16. Only wear one indoors in public, not outdoors. For the handful of occasions that have been at another's residence / private business will follow the "house rules" regarding masks (which is typically no mask) but still social distance. Do social distance when around others outdoors but without mask. Also try to be good about remembering to use hand sanitizer / hand washing after touching gas pumps, door handles, & the like.
  17. Of course the flip side is that DoJ can keep "finding" more items that should've been turned over to Flynn years ago to turn over & get into the public before any indictments on other fronts are made. But, yeah, this is frustrating.
  18. Until after the D's convention when they are locked into Biden as the nominee, IMHO 45 should not go all out on showing how unqualified Biden in his current state is. If he scores some significant body blows now we could end up with either Sanders or Cuomo (or possibly even somebody else that is even worse) that D's might have enthusiasm for. And if D voters are enthusiastic AND we have mail in voting, we could see a 2009 like supermajority. Which is extremely troubling given the direction D-led places seem to be heading.
  19. My 2 cents. This, on 1st glance appears to be a very dumb thing to say and looks like an unforced error. But, am wondering what we'll hear / see come out in the next couple of days that will make it look not nearly as dumb. Probably 80% of the things that he tweets that are beyond cringeworthy when 1st sent end up being a way for him to get a lot of his enemies to go railing about something THEY end up on the wrong side of once more info comes to light. But, unless it was a gambit, as you suggested, to get the D's to want to open stuff back up; really not sure what wondering whether elections should be delayed gets him. Not seeing where "the rest of the story" jujitsu's this back onto the TDSers/NTers. But we shall see.
  20. Geez, maybe there's something to Nick Sandman's lawyer's tweets that Brian Stetzer could be on his way out at CNN, considering whining about mischaracterizations of CNN's mischaracterizations is normally Stetzer's job. If Tapper has to do that now, maybe the little guy is on his way out the door?
  21. Maybe if he wasn't a lying turd who was instrumental in the soft coup against the current President which goes against a couple hundred years of tradition and if he wasn't also very likely a habitual leaker of classified information then the President wouldn't have ignored a few decades of precedent and allowed him to still have access to said classified information. Poor baby shnookums, who knew actions have consequences?
