  1. Season 3 finale: January 22, 1984. Berlin Wall finale: November 9, 1989. Pretty sure Philip & Elizabeth don't last all 2,118 days. Though it'll be interesting to see if they're still travel agents in Va when Mischa finally tracks them down.
  2. Wouldn't they be able to hire more people if rather than giving them vasectomies instead they taught them to wear condoms? It could be a jobs program for wildlife instructors. (Plus, imagine how many instructor teachers would be required as it can't be easy to learn how to get the buggers to sit still for an hour or so long class.)
  3. Only a misogynistic homosexual hating individual would associate w/ Anita Bryant.
  4. Tsk, tsk, tsk. My silly lad. A contested Republican convention would be proof of a party in disarray. A contested Democratic primary would be proof of our republican democracy principles still being live and vigorous. And would result in a far stronger candidate emerging than the one from the other party as that candidate would have merely been anointed with no scritiny whatsoever. (We are so screwed however this all plays out.)
  5. Guys, Shimmer is a dessert topping AND a floor wax.
  6. Not sure on forwards. Stamkos' blood clot killed my dream of landing Drouin. I'd expect the Sabres to try for Stamkos but would be surprised if they land him. If he isn't part of an Anaheim deal, Ennis should be back & healthy. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Sabres trade for a top pairing D-man w/ Anaheim. Also expect them to grab a D at 8. As for Fleury, sweet Jesus, please just say 'no.' He's expensive and not nearly as good as his pedigree leads on to be. I don't believe it's a coincidence that they're back in the Final the year injury relegated MAF to a backup role.
  7. Except possibly the "3rd guardrail" this article could have just as easily been referring to the leading candidate in either major party. We are screwed come January 20.
  8. Considering "Texas hots" are a WNY thing, your guess would not be a good one.
  9. They're into either late '83 or early '84 right now. (Hope I'm not off a year.) & the Berlin Wall fell in '89.
  10. Paige was starting to tell mommy that Matthew could be a source. Now that mom killed a mugger that had the audacity to touch Paige, & Paige sees mom & dad Iin a different light, maybe she starts to open up to Matthew instead. Stan's rage when he realizes that Phillip directly killed Amadore & ruined Martha's & John Boy's lives would be epic. And to think, Phillip & Elizabeth only had ~5-1/2 years to go to irrelevance in their primary field (KGB spies) & a smidge more than a decade to go to irrelevance in their 2ndary field (travel agents). If they'd find a way to reach retirement age, they could do it w/ clear consciences knowing there was nothing left for them to do.
  11. Just saw last week's episode. (For some reason it didn't record until the rebroadcast last night.) I doubt he's trying to catch his daughter in spying on him. It'd be easier (& probably more effective) to put some fake info out if he thinks someone is trying to play or turn her. But it was a good move by Phillip to have her keep dad's secrets. He can get 'em all 1st hand from dear old dad himself. No sense/need for having the dad have reason to not trust her. Plus, foolish teen probably feels even closer to Phillip knowing he "cares" about her relationship w/ her father. Can't see how they can get more than 1 more season out of this show. There's just too many ways for their cover to get blown. Be interesting to see Paige's reaction to knowing her mother murders people. Seems that somehow will lead to Paige either becoming a spy herself or more likely cause her to push Alice to turn them in. Maybe she turns from them all? Not sure how she stays straddling her love of her family, country, and pacifistic church for much longer.
  12. Slightly tangential, but always thought the New Orleans Pelicans should rename themselves the Fighting Mormons & then swap that w/ Utah to get the Jazz moniker back.
  13. Or, perhaps, the intern enjoyed it.
  14. He absolutely is a pinhead. But he was smart enough to listen to the intern shouting into his ear piece and walk the quote back some immediately.
  15. Pretty sure the teenager mission is still on-going. The "Breeland bug" & the Korean lady were the 2 operations still on-going during Phil & Liz' "vacation." Would be very surprised if that storyline doesn't pick back up.
  16. Thurman's wife is a Mariacher. Wouldn't be surprising if the 2 ladies are related.
  17. Yep. Hodgson is the only buyout counting against the cap currently. Leino & Ehrhoff were compliance buyouts & don't count against the cap.
  18. Spoiler Alert: The hot blonde chick was killed by the Pakistani ISI officer she was working. Phillip & Elizabeth broke her bones to fit her in a suitcase to get the body out of the Pakistani's hotel room. Liz is friends w/ the Korean lady to get Level 4 clearance for William. Korean lady's hubby works at the same bio lab. Now that she'll be blackmailing the hubby, the friendship will end. And it's pretty much the only American friend that she has. Not sure what the point of finding the porn was. Possibly it gave her the indication that the only way to blackmail Don was to do him (or as the case may be, fake doing him). Oooops, sorry, forgot about the HS girl. Described the wrong one for you.
  19. They seemed solid under Schwartz, but weren't they a letdown last season?
  20. Probably because had he followed normal protocols for internal league matters that was a real possibility. And they somehow believe his FU to the league won't factor in. But it's hard to believe a 2 game suspension is an option now barring him winning another appeal.
  21. The Sabres didn't end up w/ a single road trip over 3 games long. The league isn't shafting 'em. This is another one of Ham Sammich's throwing stuff at a wall.
  22. Pretty sure the majority still do.
