  1. so King spoke to Marv and was told that he would not coach. Someting Ralph made very clear at the press conference. Thats breaking news Peter, thanks for the update. 2nd he guesses that the Bills will go after the Jets OC. Nothing factual just a hunch on his part. King likes to be different and he is trying to go out on a limb with a guess- again no source. Thirdly we all know Williams is an ass and will do what he can to make the team that fired him look bad. He is a good coordinator but not a good head coach as he showed in Buff. If Gibbs does retire and Williams takes over he will show that he sucks as HC once again. Sometimes Peter King thinks he knows everything about everything and actually he knows very little.
  2. never been a head coach before= two three or even four years to "learn on the job". Bills have been there done that. No thanks. There are other coaches out there who have atleast had some experience running a team. Im tired of the Bills being the jv and having new head coaches get their feet wet here then getting fired after a few years when they dont produce wins.
  3. "if we build it ... he will come." Maybe he is waiting for us to build a new stadium before he agrees to come here. Sorry couldnt help it. I love that movie.
  4. Mariucci and Sherman just added by Ed Kilgour and now its a top 6 list.
  5. I posted that earlier and if you think about it thats exactly what happened. There isnt a doubt in my mind. Wilson is not stupid and he knew exacly what he was doing.
  6. Is this supposed to be a joke? He is a jackass.
  7. 11pm news reports that Haslett, Gray, Levy and Cotrell are top 4 candidates. I hope they are wrong because other than Haslett I wouldnt consider any of the other three an upgrade over MM.
  8. It would be awesome to see Favre here for a year and let JP study under him since it was his boy hood idle growing up. However Favre is a Packer and always will be. He is old school and would never leave GreenBay. He might retire but he will not play anywhere else in my opinion. It would be cool though.. wouldnt it?
  9. does anyone think that the way things have played out at one bills drive the past week left mm no choice but to call it quits? Everyone knows that Ralph hates to pay someone if he is not working so that is one of the main reasons he kept MM on the staff. So instead he fired most of the assistants and brought in Levy to looK after things and "help" MM if needed. This was a no win situation for MM and would always be looking over his shoulder wondering if Levy would have done it differently. A couple losses next season and fans would be calling for Levy to take over. So instead he quits now ans walks away and Ralph gets what I think he wanted all along. He will not have to pay MM the remaining money left on his contract. I for one did not want to see MM here next season and the talk about Ralph and Levy trying to talk him into staying was just that.. talk. In my opinion they probably had a short list prepared of HC candidates if this happpened. Why is espn reporting that Haslett and Sherman are on the short list already. Its been about 4 or 5 hours only. Goodbye MM - you will return as a coordinator somewhere and probably do well but you are not a good headcoach. Hopefully Ralp will not consider Ted C as our next head coach. Although a sentimental favorite around here and his ties to Levy in the 90's he is not a head coach and would need on the job training. No thanks. DC well thats another story but Im guessing who we hire would want to bring in his own guys.
  10. Milloy. He still has value and was in on many tackles and also did a decent job blitzing from his safety position when called upon. His cover skills have gone down however. Put him at ss and let him blitz or cover the backs out of the backfield. Vincent is done and his experience cant make up for his lack of speed. There will be a safety added in the draft hopefuly.
  11. I have a funny feeling he will go to Green Bay. If he is as good as everyone says he is it will be hard for them to pass on him. They lost alot of good lineman over the past couple of seasons and it hurt them this past yr. If Favre is there or they go with the kid they drafted they need a stud at tackle to protect. Just a hunch.
  12. Rico I agree 100% and have those same four teams winning outright. Skins can put up points on tampa, Pats at home with Brady (enough said), GMen and Manning/Tiki too much for the Panthers and Cinci will roll a hurt Big Ben and Pitt.
  13. TD was given alot of power from Ralph and Im sure he was paid well to do a job that he did not live up to. I will not thank the man for doing a poor. This is the NFL not your local factory or department store. People are paid alot of money- more money than most of us will ever see to be an NFL executive or head coach. If they cant do the job then good bye and dont let the door hit you on the way out. I think you are way off base with your post- most people dont take pleasure in another persons misfortune but this is a position where you do what you are hired to do or you are fired. Simple as that. He will find another job and I doubt his family will go hungry between now and then.
  14. There have been many posts on why MM should be fired. There have been none to show why he should be kept. And from reading the papers and listening to the radio reports it is a very real posibility that he indeed will remain as the headcoach here next season. So other than the obvious which is his contract why would Ralph and the Bills keep him as the HC? Personally I cant come up with one good reason. Anyone else?
  15. we have done worse. MM, Williams, Stephenson, Hank Bullough. God we have had some bad coaches. Depressing.
  16. martz as OC? too much passing for my liking........ 549846[/snapback] We could be "the fastest show on snow".
  17. You cant be serious? Do you honestly believe that the Bills would had the same results over that span without Marv coaching that team? Not a chance. The players bought into what he was saying. He took the bickering Bills and molded them into 4 time AFC Champions. He was blessed with exceptional talent but it was everything he did with it. Marv may be a little too old to coach but he stills has a great football mind and would be a valuable addition to the organization if Ralp brings him back in some capacity.
  18. just another example of what a joke the Bills staff and front office is. You have a kid who practiced all week & needs playing time and its the last game of the year and you sit him so your 10 year journey man can play (and throw 4 picks). Unfriggin believable. If I was the owner and heard that I wouldnt have let MM on the plane back from the meadowlands.
  19. he lived and died on the right arm of Favre.
  20. I think MW mailed it in along time ago as far as effort and wanting to play here. He failed at RT and the move to LG was a disaster. He has zero confidence and needs to be let go. There is a certain point where you have to cut your losses and we've reached that with Big Mike. There is nothing more frustating than a bust when you spend a 1st round pick on him but picking that high seems to sting a little more.
  21. all these teams are firing coaches today and not a peep from One Bills Drive. What's the hold up?
  22. more importantly would he bring back his buddy Smerlas to coach the D Line.
