  1. trading the # 10 pick has its advantages and disadvantages. The positive is you dont pay the big signing bonus but on the flip side you hopefully dont pick in the top ten for many years to come so you might want to draft a potential stud. Also now you have two 1st round picks to sign. I know we did it before with Evans and JP but there could always be a problem with hold outs and salary structure. Throw in 3 or 4 2nd round picks. How do you fit all these rookies under the cap? I do like the players you mentioned especially Winston who many consider the best tackle in the draft at 6-7 300 + lbs. With Peters at right tackle and winston at left tackle that would be two bookends on our o-line and both were former tight ends. Preston at center and now your looking for a couple guards who may already be on the team.
  2. Im not planning on selling it- I'll put it on the shelf next to my autographed Kelly ball and autographed Mesi boxing gloves (that aint worth a dime). Picking games with no spread is easy but there is the occassional upset. You're right Smokin- those guys on espn crack me up when they go out on a limb and pick Florida St over the Citadel.
  3. I was in a national weekly football pool with and every week you had to pick the correct winner of 10 college games (no spread) that they gave you and the 11th game was a score prediction for the tie braker. After 12 weeks of finishing 8-2 or 7-3 etc I finally finsihed 10-0. And needed the tie braker of the flor/flor st game final score to win. Anyway I won an autographed Jerry Rice mini helmet. Does anyone know what it is worth? Not a big Rice fan but I'll take it.
  4. Jennifer from Amherst looks hot and i couldnt help but notice that she fills out that brown tshirt nicely. She would be my pick.
  5. Big fat defensive tackles seem to come and go at One Bills Dr. Ted Washington did his time here then he left so did Pat Williams and now Im sure Adams will be leaving next too. Not sure but maybe the Bills feel they get what they can from them then let them walk before they get too old or even heavier.
  6. that would be cool. I for one didnt get to really watch the afternoon games as mush as Id like. You have dinner or your traveling to relatives etc. To have a third game on at 8 would be awesome.
  7. Looking back does anyone think we should have resigned winfield. he was and still is one of the best tacklers at the cb position. He signed for alot with Minny but was he ever burned as much as Clements has been this season and he didnt run his mouth as much as Clements does either.
  8. a home team only getting 2 points? It should never wory you to take the road team. If that game was in Denver they would have been a touchdown favorite i'm sure.
  9. They said they would protect him in the pocket. They realyy fooled him huh?
  10. Thats a tough call for me. Although Big Ben has had an unbelievable staring record in Pitt its highly unlikely he would have that same record here basd on the way we handled JP this year and dont forget Drew was our starter last season. Evans has showed flashed that he can be the "go to" guy if Moulds moves on to another team next yr and JP well he too has shown flashed but until our line is solid he will remain a question mark.
  11. Player interview might have gone like this: TD- We are thinking of drafting you RP- Id love to play in Buffalo TD- We'd love to have you, we feel your speed will be a major asset RP- I am very fast as you may have seen at the U TD- The weather is a little colder in Buffalo RP- Thats ok Im tougher than I look TD- There also is a white powder all over the place in Nov and Dec TD- There is white powder all over Miami, us locals call it cocaine TD- Never mind Roscoe, we'll se you at camp
  12. if they had a line they would be an offensive machine. Like it was posted earlier- three 1st round picks on wideout, a potential stud in K Jones and Harrington has been handeled very poorly. Starting, then being benched then starting then getting pulled. Fans of the Lions might disagree but from an outsiders view i feel he should be in there and like most young qbs or any qb for that matter he needs blocking upfront.
  13. I for one like Mort- maybe its becuase he usually has something good to say about the Bills. Jaws is another one and because he is from Lackawanna he also talks highly of the Bills on national tv. Then ofcourse Boomer (Berman) not Esiason makes it known he is a huge fan. "Nobody circles the wagons" made famous by Berman is still my favorite quote.
  14. Just from watching Molulds on the tv and in person at the Ralph it looks like he and JP are never on the same page. That could be for several reasons. JP is young and still learning the sysytem and his check offs etc or it could be that Moulds has no desire to build a relationship with JP who is very inexperienced. His comments about wanting Holcomb in there only hurts he and JP'S bond or lack there of. JP is not going anywhere anytime soon but Moulds on the other hand could be heading out of Buffalo. I would hate to see him leave becuase I feel he can still be an asset to this team both with his experience and the ability he still has. However if he continues to call for Holcomb and his demeanor on the field doesnt inprove we can say good bye to him in 06.
  15. we didnt run for the bus since many of the players not got off the bus to begin with.
  16. I find it very unusual that a coach who is secretive until friday on who his starter will be on sunday will come out and say this. I hope its true though.
  17. He is a spitting image of Santana Moss. Last I checked he doing pretty good in DC.
  18. There were over 160 free agent o-lineman last year. Sure many were over the hill and were simply cut but many changed teams aswell. I was using the generic "stud " reference in my thread and yes there will be other teams bidding on this lineman's services but so what. You do what it takes to get it done. Yes quality O-line man are rare and my point was to be a participant and not a watcher when it comes to making offers on these guys. It is TD'S fault for letting the line come to its current state which is bad. The best example is plugging in a guy you drafted to play Tight End at your starting left tackle position. That shows how desperate we are. To Peters credit he has done a fair job.
  19. if Josh (stone hands) Reed makes the catch in the endzone on our first possesion- does the game go in a different direction? Probabaly not. If Josh (stone hands) Reed makes that sideline catch 25 yards up field on our 2nd possesion does the game go in a different direction? Probably not. But it could have and we will never know becuase the man drops 75% (estimate) of the balls thrown to him. Cut his Ass!
  20. All this talk about where and who we should spend money on this offseason. There should be no discussion- it has to be the offensive line. Target one free agentt stud and make it your only priority. Over pay if you have to but make it a long deal. Then spend your top two picks on the o-line too. Then in the third look at filling theother holes- db, dline etc. There is no bigger whole than our horible o-line. We have scrubs in there that would not be starting on other teams. I would also start my two drafts picks next year with our free agnet pick up. Throw in Preston and one other lineman from this current team and there is your starting 5. Let them learn on the job with JP and Willis. But the key is play them where they should- all this drafting a guard and moving him to takle or a guy plays center in college and youtry him at tackle is a bunch of crap. O-line is not as interchangeable as we think. Look at Williams- couldnt cut it at tackleso lets move him to guard. Not. Now he is lost. Maybe I think that going out and getting a free agent lineman is easy and finding two to take with your top two picks is a piece of cake. But there has to be someone on this coaching staff or front ofice that needs to start to consider this. We have neglected or O-line long enough.
  21. nobody wants to have to go through a new coaching staff nut at this point we should think that might be a possibilty. MM should be canned and his OC who doesnt call plays will be gone too. Gray who many consider to be a head coaching candidate even though his D has been shredded this yr should be gone. Special teams coach is only man I would keep. That leaves Big Don or beloved President and GM. We all know Ralph is very loyal, almost to a fault. Plus he just extended tha mans contract! I have no idea what will become of this team but something needs to be done by kickoff 06.
  22. you can never have enough db's in this league. Someone is always banged up.
